Thanks to Weipeng, we had a gathering at his place for "Lou Hei" today. Jordan and Huiling came to give me a ride to his place and we were the "early birds" at his place. Though many of our friends can't make it, we are happy to have Limin back to join us! =p

After our Lou Hei, we started our Blackjack! Baba is so lucky today! As for me, my luck is just normal. I guess Baba probably is a big winner. Then, I played mahjong for a while before Alan came to fetch me back home to prepare steamboat.

Emo week

It had been quite a bad week at work for me. I was feeling down and emo for no reason. To make things worse, I made quite a serious mistake at work on Friday. :( I was feeling very upset. Luckily, I have a great bf who has been very understanding (despite me behaving so PMS) and he brightened up my blue friday by coming to my office to fetch me from work and surprised me with my favourite KOI and My Melody's bookmark! Hehe. He's simply the best.

We went to Brewerkz for our favourite wings and beer. It was a great dinner! After that, we went to The Cathay to watch The Viral Factor, a movie by Jay Chou! Hehe. It was quite a good movie though the ending could be a bit better though I must admit I had expected the ending from the start of the show. Good acting by Jay and Nicholas! =p

As for Saturday, it was a fruitful Saturday. Alan, sis and I went to City Plaza to eat our favourite Mee Hoon Kuay, but you know what? It was closed! We were so disappointed. Many of the coffeeshops were still closed, so in the end, we ended up eating the famous Western food at Hougang Plaza. It was quite a satisfying lunch before we went to the new NTUC to shop for our steamboat. And I finally managed to find my favourite Brown Brothers' Moscato! Hehe.

After shopping, I went to PS to meet Jianhui. We had no idea where to go. In the end, we decided to look at some renovation before going Changi Airport. We managed to look at aeroplanes and had dinner at Popeyes. I also found a nice fragrance mist from Victoria's Secret!

And then, we went to a pub, Boulevard to watch soccer match, Liverpool - Man Utd. It had been a long time since we last watched a soccer match together at a pub. :) However, it was a disappointing match as Man Utd lost the match. :(

Welcome to the Year of Dragon

Chinese New Year has always been my favourite festival. The time for family bonding and feasting. =p And for that, I really admire my mummy who is the main (or rather only) chef for our Reunion Lunch on Chinese New Year eve and Vegetarian Reunion Lunch on the first day of Chinese New Year. I can't help much, except that for this year, I had at least helped to cut some of the Vegetarian stuff. Haha.

As usual, we had our vegetarian reunion lunch with my father's side relatives. I enjoy eating vegetarian lunch every year for Chinese New Year. Jianhui had joined us for reunion lunch this year too. After a satisfying lunch, we went to popo's house to bai nian. Ah Yi was still around and so we chatted a while before she went out. Popo is happy that we're getting married and she told us that she would definitely attend our wedding. I'm so happy to receive blessing from my beloved popo.

Thereafter, Alan and sis came to fetch us to give us a ride to Teck Whye Lane to go to JH's house to bai nai to his parents. His mother cooked a lot of food for us to eat. I'm so full after eating so much for the whole day.

After dinner, we went to town and it's so empty. I kinda miss this kind of Singapore. Haha. We drank our favourite bubble tea from Artease then we went to H&M to take a look. There isn't much to shop, so we decided to go back home.

For the second day of CNY, my parents and I went to popo's house in the morning to help out. As per every year, mum stayed to help out with the cooking. I seriously think that CNY is a busy period for mum as she has to cook every meal almost everyday. As for me, I went back home to have some rest and to accompany ah nei at home.

In the evening, Alan they all came to fetch us to popo's house for dinner. We met Justin and Melach and we had a good chat about wedding stuff. =p He brought his wedding video too, so we watched it at popo's house.

Then, it's dinner time! There's a lot of my favourite food like glutinous rice, hakka shuang pan zi and cheese cake! :) I had a great dinner at my popo's house. Thanks to my favourite Auntie for hosting us and prepared so much food for us!

It's time for reunion lunch again! As my brother and sister in law has gone to Genting on Saturday, we had our "reunion dinner" on Friday. As all of us were staying under one roof, we could start our reunion lunch on time. My mum is amazing to prepare all the food herself. (For that, I feel kinda guilty that I did not contribute anything.)

Every year, my mum would hide one golden coin inside one of the dumplings that she had made. We all hope to get the golden coin as it symbolizes Good Luck. And you know what? I got the golden coin this year! I'm so happy! I got a feeling that Dragon year is going to be a good year for me! Hehe.

On Wednesday, Jianhui and I took leave for bridal shopping. To our disappointment, Labelle was closed for packing! And so, we went to Di Gio instead as it was highly recommended by many of our friends. I tried a few gowns and I must say the gowns are Di Gio are really beautiful! I love it! :) When we started to look at the package, we realized Di Gio has the same photographers as Rico-A-Mona. In the end, we did not sign with Di Gio. We were kinda disappointed as we were quite determined to sign package on that day.

Thereafter, we went Harbourfront to get some new notes from my colleague before we took Circle Line to Holland V. It's my 3rd time going Holland V? We had afternoon beer at Tango before we went to Bukit Timah for happy dinner! As usual, dinner at Bukit Timah is good. =p

As we really wish to settle on a bridal boutique before CNY, we decided to fix appointment with Labelle on Thursday. Both Lucas and Candy remembered that they met me at Celene's wedding. Lucas helped to choose some gown for me to choose before Candy discussed about the package with us. Though we didn't say it out, we both know that we like the gowns and the photos. We're sure that we are just going to sign with Labelle. At the end of the day, we were so happy to sign with Labelle, just hope that it won't disappoint us.

Now that we had settled our Bridal Boutique, what's next will be our wedding band! We're going to shop for wedding band after CNY! Yeah!

I finally have the feeling that I am really getting married! =p

Another busy weekend

Last Saturday, Jianhui and I met early in the morning to go cycling at our favourite place ECP! It's indeed the happiest place in Singapore! It was a happy morning, cycling to our favourite breakwater to relax.

After that, we went to Maxwell Food centre for lunch before we started our bridal shopping again! We went to Sophia's wedding and spent quite a lot of time there. We were so tired after the sales talk. Then, we walked over to Labelle Coutour but nobody was free to serve us... In the end, we decided to go to Yvonne's Creation. They gave us quite a good package, but we were just too tired to make decision.

Then, we went to Sushi Tei for dinner! I simply love Sushi Tei's food, but it's getting quite expensive. After dinner, we went to meet Teck Loon for drinks before I was so tired that I got to go home to rest.

As for Sunday, it's Spring Cleaning Day! My sis and I spent the whole afternoon doing spring cleaning. Then, we went for a good run in the evening. I had a good dinner at home and then it is Oppa's time (=Watching Secret Garden). It was a sad episode that I cried until my eyes were swollen. Lucky, we ended off the night with some happy scenes. =p

For the first weekend of 2012, it was a busy but fun one for me! And I can expect my weekends to be very busy until the year of 2012.

Last Saturday, I went to shopping for bridal shops (finally!) for the first time and it was fun trying the gowns! Our first bridal shop is Rico-A-Mona. The gowns are beautiful, just that the photos aren't that nice. When I first tried the gown, I fell in love with it instantly. The design is exactly what I want and I simply love it! I also got to try a few more gowns. It's really fun as you will get an idea of what kind of gown you want as you try more gowns. And you also know what kind of gowns is just not your type. I would have signed the package on the spot if not for Jianhui who can always be so logical. :)

After that, I took a cab to Andre's house for BBQ! Thanks to him, we can have our JC's class BBQ. He even ordered the food online for us! The food was quite nice, except for the very dry beehoon. Nowadays, with the BBQ wholesale, it is so much easier to hold a BBQ. The turn out was quite good - Andre, KC, Mervin, Qader, Adeline, Andrea, Yuanmei, Amara, Sherlyn, Bing Ying, Alfred and me! After BBQ, we went to Andre's house to relax. We also celebrated Yuanmei's birthday with Ben & Jerry's ice cream just like what we did many years also. Then we played Saboteur. KC tried to explain Saboteur 2 to us, but it's just too complicated. In the end, we decided to play Saboteur 1 instead. Haha. We played one round before Qader, Andrea and I made a move while the rest stayed on. It was a great gathering. I am looking forward to our CNY's gathering!

As for Sunday, a few of us (Ailing, Ivy, Shelly, Chay Yoon, Sharon, Sylvia and I) volunteered for the Garden Party at Istana. We met at Peninsula there to meet the family we were supposed to take care. My family is a mother with 2 sons. The sons are cute and energetic! Then, we took the bus to Istana. However, there was a bad jam. By the time we reached Istana, it was already 5 plus. It was my first time to Istana. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to walk around the place and I didn't manage to meet the President. I helped to take food, fruits and drinks for my family. Around 7+, we had to wait for a long time to take the bus back to City Hall. At around 8, we finally reached City Hall. I'm so happy to go home to take a rest.

Happy New Year 2012!

It's my first day at work in 2012 and I was feeling kinda lost. Somehow, after resting for too many days, I had almost forgotten "how" to work. Probably I would need a few days to get back the momentum to work. :)

On the last day of 2011, I'm happy to spend time with Jianhui at our new house. 2011 is the year in which we had gotten our house and we would like to remember it.

Thereafter, we went to Weipeng's house for BBQ. Thanks to Weipeng and Aili for "volunteering" their rooftop for us to BBQ. I'm very happy to be able to welcome the New Year with my dearest Secondary School friends. 16 years of friendship and I am very thankful to have friends like them. And I am sure we will stay in contact till we have our kids and then our gathering will gradually become more "family-orientated". Probably less alcohol and more sweets. Haha. And it is quite a successful gathering given that we have 21 of us. =p Even Jinghui (baba) brought his gf, Jessica to the gathering!

As for the first day of 2012, I met up with Jianhui for dinner at Aston and we went to watch a wonderful movie, We bought a Zoo. As what Jianhui had expected, it's definitely my kind of movie. I simply love the quote from Matt Damon, it take 20 seconds of courage for something amazing thing to happen. In life, 20 seconds is all that you need to change your life at times. And sometimes, we just need more courage to pursue what we believe in.

Then on 2nd of January, I met up with my JC friends. As usual, we had lots of laughter and fun. And most importantly, we had Andre and Andrea who came back to Singapore to join us too. It's also our first time trying vegetarian jap food. I had ordered Mixed Fried set and it was yummy.

Last day of 2011

The year 2011 had been quite a good year for me though there were ups and downs at some point of time. Thanks to my wonderful family, friends and fiance who have been so supportive of me in everything I do. For that, I am very thankful. =p

2011 is definitely a memorable year as Jianhui and I had bought our very own house in the beginning of the year. It's definitely my biggest investment so far, wiping almost every dollars and cents in my CPF. Nevertheless, it feels good to own a house. Also, we had gone for long and wonderful holiday at a beautiful country, NZ where he had fulfilled his dream of completing an Ironman with Che Che. With his determination and hard work, he had completed the race and completed my dream to be Mrs Chong.

I had also finally left my comfort zone to try something different in my career. Though some may not agree with my decision to go to the corporate side as Service Manager, I know I had made the right decision when I realized there are so much things to learn at the new side. It makes me realize I had simply take everything for granted for 5 years and it's time for me to move on to learn new things. I always believe that there is no job that is too difficult for anybody. So, I believe I will be able to succeed in my new job and soar to greater heights in my career.

My New Year's resolutions for the year 2012

1) As per every year's resolutions, I want to earn more money and save more money in 2012! Given that I am expected to spend lots and lots of money in renovation and wedding, this is an important resolution. I'm hoping to get a good pay raise and a HUGE bonus in the year 2012!

2. Spend more time with family and friends. 2011 had been a busy year at work for me. I had to work for at least 12 hours everyday and I had no time for anything. At the new position, I hope to have more free time to spend with my loved ones and friends. Work-life balance is very important and I would hope to eat more dinner at home.

3) Keep fit and be healthy. After being sick for 4 days over Christmas, I realize health is really important. Without good health, there's nothing you can do even if you have lots of money and time. In 2012, I must continue to jog at least 3 times a week and eat more healthy food. Also, I must maintain my weight (if not slimmer) to prepare myself for the photoshoot and wedding! I want to look beautiful and slim on my BIG day. haha.

4) Work hard in my new position and do it well. It's a new job and I want to do it well. I have been relaxing in Nov and Dec. Time for me to start my engine well and start working hard to prove my worth!

With that, we will be moving on to a brand new year. I am sure the year 2012 will be a fulfilling year for me as we will be starting to renovate our house and we will be busy with our wedding preparations. I'm definitely looking forward to a fantastic year in 2012!

Merry Christmas!

I was sick from Thursday onwards. It started with a bad flu. Throughout the night, I started to develop high fever. And when I woke up on Friday, I was feeling so sick. Down with high fever, a bad headache, flu and swollen eyes. As I am allergic to panadol and most painkillers, the doctor did not prescribe any medicine for my fever. I had to drink more water to bring down the temperature. I was feeling very sick and bedridden. I couldn't move at all. I couldn't sleep the whole night due to the high fever and headache. =(

When I woke up on Saturday, I was still feeling unwell. Well, I guess it must be one of the saddest Christmas' eve for me. Luckily, Jianhui came in the afternoon to accompany me. If not, I would feel real sad.

And so, It's only my iPhone and me for the past 3 days.

Though I am feeling much better now, I am still suffering from a bad headache. I just hope to get well SOON!

Lastly, I wish all of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Standard Chartered Marathon 2011

Somehow, I had managed to complete the half marathon. It was quite a challenging race given that I did not really train for it. Besides, the route is really quite bad. Right at 2km, we were stuck at the junction for a couple of minutes. As a result, we took 30 minutes for our first 3km. Madness. There was also a human jam at the finishing line. I guess the organizers seriously have to improve on this if they want this race to be as good as overseas race.

I was supposed to wait for Jianhui at the finishing line, but I didn't see him. And you know what? He had completed the full marathon before I completed my race! He's so on form that this was his personal best timing for full marathon. I'm so happy for him! It's a good result to celebrate his 10 years of endurance sports!

After meeting up with everybody, we went to Funan's McD for our happy breakfast! As per SOP, I must drink my favourite coke! haha. After a happy breakfast, Jianhui and I went back to his house while my sis they all went home.

And now, I'm so happy to be back home. I just hope that my whole body and legs won't be aching so much tomorrow.

Last race of the year

I don't know about you, but personally, I find that this year has passed by (extremely) quickly and it is unbelievable that it's December now. And soon, we will be moving on to the year 2012.

It's going to be my last race of the year - a half marathon at SCSM. Normally, I would only feel nervous if I were to run a full marathon the next day, but now, I am kinda nervous even though it's a half marathon tomorrow. Due to inadequate training, I am kinda concerned that it is going to be a challenging race tomorrow.

Whatever it is, I will do my best and I wish all runners a good race tomorrow. Timing is not important. What's important is, don't ever give up. Complete your own race.

Remember - Pain is temporary, Glory is Forever.

GCB D&D

I know that some companies do not have D&D this year, but I count myself lucky to be able to attend 2 D&D at RWS this year. =p

On the night before D&D, we decided to buy the dress to wear for D&D to compete for the Best Dressed Table. So, Ailing, Cindy and I went to the shop to buy the dresses and accessories. And so, we had 10 ladies wearing the same dress. Our effort paid off as we won Best Dressed Table (2nd/3rd as there was a tie)!

Ailing was really lucky as she won the 8th prize which is a Camera! As usual, I simply has no luck with lucky draw. I have NEVER EVER won anything from lucky draw. The dinner ended around 11 and I was so tired. It was difficult to get a cab and fortunately, Angelyn's husband gave us a ride back home.

It was a tiring night and I was so tired when I reached home.

Swollen Eye

My right eye is swollen again. Somehow, my right eye always experiences eye irritation, itchiness if not it will be swollen. Haiz. No doubt I am skeptical about doing lasik (partly due to Final Destination 5), I guess I may have to reconsider it since my eyes are just pampered and sensitive nowadays. We shall see how it goes. For the time being, I just got to be a good girl and wear specs. I just hope that my eye will be ok tomorrow.

Oh ya, Jianhui and I went to Playnation to play Wii games as we couldn't find any suitable timing to watch movies last night. It was fun as usual. They had this new dancing game which was quite cool. We were saying that Celene would definitely excel in this game since she is a dancer! Haha. After 2 hours of Wii, both of us were super tired and our arms are aching. It is definitely a strenuous exercise! True enough, both my arms are aching like mad this morning when I woke up! After that, we went to eat Soya Beancurd before making our way home.

My dearest cousin, Justin held his wedding with his lovely wife at Sengkang Methodist Church yesterday. The groom looks dashing and the bride looks gorgeous. They are simply such a lovely couple! Justin even performed a song with guitar for his lovely wife. That's simply so sweet. When he gave his Thank You speech, I am so touched that I can't stop crying. As a result, my make up is all smudged. Anyway, I'm so happy for him as he is my favourite cousin as I think that they are such a perfect couple!

The Learning Curve

For the past 2 weeks, I have been exposed to new things everyday. On one hand, I am happy to learn new things. On the other hand, I must admit that I am starting to feel stressed. It's something new, and it just seems that my past work experience does not give me any advantage in doing this job. Nevertheless, I am thankful for wonderful colleagues (especially my dearest Ailing) who is always so willing to teach me. :)

My "honeymoon" period is ending and I probably have to start working hard next week.

Congratulations to Alvin and Celene!

It is Alvin and Celene's Wedding day! I am so happy for both of them as they are such a compatible and happy couple!

Early in the morning, my dad drove me to Celene's place. Candy, her make up artist is helping her to make up. While waiting, I ate beehoon cooked by Celene's mother which was super nice. :) Soon, Alvin came with his brothers. He sang a touching song before he could "fetch" the bride.

Then we went to Alvin's place. Their new room was well-decorated and it looks so cosy! haha. We also ate tang yuan with the couple! We rested for a while before we made our way to Intercontinental Hotel.

The bridal suite was very big. Soon, Candy and the other make up artist came. Thanks to Celene, the make up artist would be helping me to make up. And I must say Candy is a great make up artist. Her make up skills + the beautiful dress from Celene = a Happy me! I love my dress, my hairstyle and my make up! =p

When Celene was ready, we went to Level 2 for the wedding solemnization. The JP was quite good. He could speak English, Chinese and Dialect. And I like his sense of humour. I am considering to engage him as my JP as I like his style. :)

Thereafter, I accompanied Celene back to the room to style her hair to a different style. I find that Candy is simply amazing. Within minutes, she could transform Celene's hair to another style. It's amazing.

The couple's guest were all punctual and so we could start way before the stipulated time. When the couple marched in, Celene looked so beautiful and happy. It's a wonderful moment. :) And soon, the lunch started. It was a good catching up session with Shixing, Jovan, Qiqi, Hui Ching, SP and Ferlyn during the lunch.

After enjoying the lunch, I went up to the room with Celene to change to her tea ceremony's dress. The girls also gathered at the room while waiting for them to do the tea ceremony. Then, we went down to take group photos. =p

All in all, I had enjoyed myself and I'm just so happy for my dearest friend today. I sincerely wish Alvin and Celene a happy and blissful marriage forever and ever!

On a special note, today is a special day! It's our 2 years anniversary today! :) Happy 2 years anniversary to Jianhui and me! =p

Moving on

Yesterday marks my last day as a CSM at Harbourfront Branch. From next Tuesday onwards, I would be moving on to a new department. Same work wear, but different colleagues and different environment. I'm looking forward to new challenges ahead of me, but I have to admit that I miss being a CSM at branch and I miss my wonderful colleagues. It was a stressful last day as I had to settle BAU and at the same time, I got to hand over things to the new CSM.

Coincidentally, it was also my company's D&D last night. The theme was Red, Hot & Sexy. As I was just too lazy to bring extra clothes to change, I did not dress up and I had worn my working attire to D&D. It was good catching up with my branch banking colleagues especially I won't be able to see them at company events in future.

The D&D was held at RWS and I'm just happy that Francis could give me a lift home. If not, I guess I can only reach home at around 12 midnight...

All in all, it was an eventful last day for me. I am sad and there are many times I really feel like crying. But, I guess I was just so busy the whole day that I did not cry.

My journey in OCBC till now

When I graduated from school in 2005, I was feeling so lost just like any other graduate and I had no idea what kind of job is suitable for me. Somehow, when I was on a trip to Genting, OCBC called me and offered me a job. That’s how it all started for my career in OCBC.

I still remember that when I was on my way to sign my Letter of Offer, I saw a familiar face. I had met my NTU’s course mate, Celene who has become a valuable friend of mine since we signed the Letter of Offer together on that day. She is definitely one of the many good friends I had known. Celene, thanks for being there for me during the lowest point of my life and you are always so encouraging. Thanks for being such a dear friend.

And so, I started my training on 7^th June 2005 with a bunch of crazy and nice course mates. I will always remember those clubbing sessions during my training days with MT-72. Back then, 5 of us (John, Jeremy, Celene, Hui Chin and I) would always eat lunch together and true enough, those were happy training days. Even when we were posted to different branches, we continued to keep in contact and would meet up occasionally for drinking sessions. Up till now, some of us are still in contact. Though we may not meet up that often, we would always have a good time whenever we meet up. To MT 72, especially the girls (Celene, Hui Ching, Siewping, Serene and Ferlyn), you girls are really a fun bunch of friends to be with. I am sure we will continue to keep in contact till all of us have kids and we will start to discuss about admission to primary school, etc…

I was posted to Hougang Mall for a short period of time. Though it was a short period, I am thankful to people like Frieda and Katherine for being so nice and patient to me. For a new staff like me, I am very appreciative to them for guiding me and teaching me so many things.

Thereafter, I was transferred to Compass Point Branch. Before I was posted there, I heard many horror stories about the people there. But, they were all wrong. Compass Point is like a home to me. I have a wonderful and knowledgeable boss like Choon Seng in Compass Point who will always explain to us the complex features of structured deposit and sharing with us his marathon stories. It is fun to listen to his stories at our weekly branch meeting at 9am. Sally, our da jie, is my role model. She is good in sales and operations. Most importantly, she is really very nice to new staff like me. We will always go buy happy food or snack after branch had closed. And I guess, the term “happy food” was derived from Compass Point. Jo, my best friend was a great colleague to work with. We will always eat happy breakfast and when we feel guilty about eating such fattening food, we will go jogging after doing teleconsulting. Brother Greg is like a good brother to me who will always buys me 1 fried chicken wing every day. Not to forget my dear sister, Ailing who will always help the PFCs to do all sorts of things. She is like our product library who will always answers our endless questions promptly no matter how busy she is. Without fail, Ailing and I would always go for happy lunch on every pay day! Lam-gor is always so nice to help me to answer loan enquiries. Thanks to him, we are able to answer all kinds of loan enquiries without fearing that we may tell customer the wrong information. Also, I would like to thank my CSMs, Lucy, Patricia and Mr Ho for guiding me when I was a PFC. Now then I know how it is like to have PFCs asking you the same questions over and over again. Lastly, my BM, Raymond Yong is a great benefactor to me. Thanks to his help, I can be where I am now. He is the only BM who had given me many chances to prove myself even when the whole world had given up hope on me. Even now, he would always provide me wise advice whenever I need help.

Just when I was feeing very low morale and had no idea what else I can do other that sales job, I was given an opportunity to be a CSM. From that day onwards, it had totally changed my life. With a blink of eyes, I have been a CSM for 5 years. It’s a challenging, fulfilling and wonderful journey where I have met many great BMs, CSMs and colleagues.

From a relief CSM in NE and East Cluster, I was posted to SMU as a permanent CSM for the first time. I’ve learnt a lot during my term as a CSM in SMU. Then, I moved on to Punggol Plaza where I had lots of fun working with many wonderful people under the leadership of my brother, Steven. He would always say jokes to brighten up our days and I seriously think that he is a good BM, a good brother and a good friend to me. Thereafter, I was transferred to Sun Plaza. At Sun Plaza, I had the chance to work with Kevin who is a super nice BM and Mama who would always share valuable experiences with me. And I have definitely made many good friends at Sun Plaza like Jenny Leong, Mok Mok, Tee, Tham-siu and our dear SM, Francis who would always give me a lift home whenever possible. And lastly, working at Harbourfront Branch is definitely a challenge to me. Busy + challenging customers = my daily work. If not for the fun colleagues like Angeline, Mee Lian, Dione, Aina and the funny PFCs, life would be quite miserable. Not to forget all the late nights with my boss, Wendy, those days were definitely memorable.

Whenever I need help or advice, I would always call Mr Cheong and Gladys. Both of them will always listen to my problems patiently and advise me accordingly. They may be so busy with their work, and yet they will never sound impatient or what. I used to feel weird going to CSM meeting as I do not know anybody. Thanks to Gladys, Molly and Kristie, it is fun going to CSM meeting as we can meet up and “gossip”. We are just like a big family. We will solve the problems or issues together and no matter how bad our day is, we know we can complain to each other. Just like Liverpool’s slogan – You never walk alone, this is how we work in OCBC.

All in all, it has been a long and happy journey. I will never forget every small little things that each and everybody had done for me.

Just wanna say a big THANK YOU to everybody who has crossed my path during this 6 years working in branches.

Hen's Party

My dear friend, Celene is getting married and we planned a day of activities for her! Sherraine, Yudan, Gigi, Zhaoying and I meet up at La Senza to buy a present for her. After choosing a sweet present for her, we went to City Hall to meet up with Selene and to have some snacks before we rushed to a dance studio at Queen Street to meet Celene.

We had booked a pole dance cum lap dance session for all of us! Knowing that Celene likes to dance, we decided to organize this dance session for her. Yudan even prepared a nice red top plus shorts with matching red veil for Celene!

After taking some photos, our exciting dance class started! It's quite fun though I must say I can't dance for nuts. Haha. It's tiring to spin on the pole actually. It's a good training for my arm's muscles. Our teacher also served us a drink which is quite strong. Haha. Then it's time for Celene to dance a solo dance! She is really a dancer, she can dance so well though it is her first time learning pole dance. Our teacher also taught us lap dance too. And Celene performed the lap dance on Zhaoying before we called it a day.

We took a cab to Graze at 38 Martin Road. The restaurant looks nice and from the review, the food is quite good. Most of them enjoyed their food except that I don't really like my Spice Chicken. After dinner, we went to have dessert - Ice cream and some chocolate cake which was super nice.

Then we moved on to the exciting part of the Hen's Party! As for the details of what we did, we shall keep it as a secret for the girls! =p All in all, I must give 3 cheers for Celene who did a good job the whole day!

It was a fun day and I hope Celene had enjoyed herself as much as we did.

I am so looking forward to Alvin and Celene's wedding this coming Sunday! =p

As for now till Saturday, I got to watch my diet and SLIM DOWN!!!

The happiest place on earth

I had just came back from HK and it was totally an enjoyable but tiring trip. The highlight of the trip would be HK Disneyland! Though many people were telling me that HK Disneyland is small and not as good as other Disneyland, I love it to the max! It's definitely the happiest place on earth! I feel so happy and good at the Disneyland. In fact, it may not be that big, but you know what? It's even bigger that our USS.

When we touched down at HK, we bought a 3G HK line from the handphone shop, 1010 so that we can still stay connected and use Whatsapp if there is a need. Then, we took the train to Disneyland resort! The train to Disneyland is so cute with the Mickey Mouse-shaped windows and they have display of many of the Disney Characters. It's definitely a happy train with comfortable seats too!

When we reached HK Disneyland Resort, we were very excited as the place looks so happy! Haha. Even the shuttle bus is decorated with Disney and Pixar characters! Haha. We took the shuttle bus to our Disney Hollywood Hotel! And I totally love our room! Everything inside the room is in a form of Mickey Mouse! They even gave us 2 hand towels in the form of spider and "sotong".

After resting for a while, we took a train to Citygate outlet for shopping! We ate Teppanyaki for dinner which was quite normal only though the potion of vegetables is HUGE. This is a great place for shopping as it has many factory outlets of many branded goods. We also went to the supermarket to shop for grocery before going back to our comfortable room to rest.

The next day, all of us were were dressed to the Mickey Mouse theme as we are going to step into the happiest place on earth today! Before going to Disneyland, we went to Ngong Ping 36o to pray to the Buddha. We took the cable car up and it's quite a long way up to the place. The place is totally a happy place for Gwyneth as there is bubbles everywhere! We climbed the stairs to pray to Buddha before making our way back to Disneyland.

As the parade is starting soon, we made our way to the castle to get a good spot to watch the parade. The parade is very nice! All the performers look so happy and energetic! I wish I can join them for the dance! :) This parade is simply fantastic!

After the parade, we walked around the place and there's so much things to buy! All the things look just so cute and happy! Gwyneth had her Dumbo and Merry-Go-Round ride which she enjoyed a lot! She simply refused to move on if we don't bring her for the ride. We also tried the River Cruise, Pooh's ride and the most fun ride would be the Buzz's station! It's so fun to shoot the target! And my sis scored the highest score! She scored 220k points which is like impossible as we only score 5 digits scores! Haha.

Thereafter, we went for a quick dinner at Star Diner which served ordinary Western food though I love the fries. hehe. After dinner, we went to queue up to take photo with Minnie Mouse. Gwyneth was like so excited to take photo with her! I could see that she's so anxious to take photo with Minnie that she kept on wanting to "jump queue". When it was finally her turn, she was so happy that she hugged Minnie tightly and closed her eyes while enjoying the hug. She's just so cute... haha.

Then, it's time for Halloween Parade. We couldn't see much things as we were quite behind. We could only see from other people's camera which was quite sad, isn't it?

And then, we went to gather near the castle to get ready for the fireworks display. The fireworks is totally amazing and it's so beautiful with the music and storyline! I love it! It's definitely one of the best fireworks display I had ever seen. If you don't believe me, you can go Youtube to watch the videos. It's just so beautiful...

It's getting late and it's time for SHOPPING! I tell you Disneyland is really a great place for shopping! You just feel like buying everything from the shop. Haha.

Finally, we left the happy place around 11+ and we made our way back to our happy hotel for a good rest...

The next day, it's Gwyneth's birthday! I bought a Mickey Mouse birthday cake for our dearest birthday girl and they were nice to give some party gifts to Gwyneth! Gwyneth loves her birthday cake! After breakfast, it's time to go to the happiest place on earth again!

We took the train for awhile then we went to Banquet Hall for lunch. Lunch wasn't that happy at all. After a quick lunch, we went to watch Golden Mickey! It was superb! I love it a lot! :) It's one of the best show in Disneyland. =p After the show, we went to queue up to take photos with Mickey and Minnie! While waiting, I brought Gwyneth to take photos with Pluto and Goofy! Gwyneth is such a happy girl, especially when she gets to see Mickey and Minnie. And when she saw that Mickey and Minnie leaving for 3 minutes break, she bursts into tears! Luckily, they came back shortly, if not Gwyneth will not stop crying. Finally, she got to take photos with her idols and she's so happy! Thereafter, we took photos with Belle and Sleeping beauty too!

Then, we went to drive the Automatic Car. It's a designated track, so no driving skills is needed actually. Haha. We also tried the Galaxy ride which wasn't that scary. Gwyneth also had her fair share of fun sitting in the spaceship with my mum and me.

We also had some light snacks before we went to queue up to enter the haunted house. The haunted house is quite cool though the girls in front of us would kinda warn us of the"ghosts" which makes it less scary for us.

It's getting late and it's about time for us to leave this place. We left Disneyland with a heavy heart and with a lot of souvenirs. We went back to the resort to collect our luggage to make our way to City View Hotel. It's quite a long and challenging task to go to the hotel with our luggage. When we reached You Ma Ti station, we were horrified that the station has no escalator or lift! In the end, we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Luckily, the hotel is just 5 minutes away from the station. When we finally reached the hotel, we were just too happy to put our luggage and relax before we made our way for dinner. We had our dinner at Min Yuan which was quite nice. :) After dinner, we walked around before making our way back to the hotel to rest.

Early in the morning, we made our way to a famous Dim Sum place. However, we were told that the waiting time is 2 hours. We decided to go to the famous goose restaurant at Central for lunch instead. Thankfully, we don't have to wait that long at the restaurant. =p Lunch was good. :)

After a happy lunch, we shopped a bit before making our way back to our hotel to put my sis' shopping loot. We also bought a lot of happy tidbits. :) We rested a while in the room before we went out to shop. We had a happy and satisfying steamboat dinner. After dinner, we walked around for a while before we went back to rest.

The next day, Alan and mum went to the Dim Sum shop at 930 to get a queue number. When the shop opened at 10, we were told that the waiting time would be 45 minutes. However, we waited for almost 2hrs before we can have a seat. It's madness. I must say the BBQ pork bun is really nice! I even tabao-ed some to eat as snack later in the afternoon. hehe.

We shopped at some sports outlets nearby before making our way to Citygate again to buy Papa Alan's watch! All of us are very happy as we had gotten almost everything we wanted to buy. Then we went back to our hotel to collect our luggage to go to airport.

It's quite a short ride to the airport. After checking in our luggage, we had dinner at a HK cafe and the food is quite nice! :) Then it's time for us to board the plane.

As usual, I couldn't sleep on the plane. Thankfully, the flight back to Singapore seems to be faster. When I touched down at Singapore airport, I am happy to be back though I must say I miss Disneyland a lot. I'm happy that Jianhui came to pick us up and sent us home.

Happy Birthday to me!

It's my day! On this special day of mine, everybody would make me feel so blessed and happy. I may be like the Clumsy Smurf in the Smurf movie, but I am truly fortunate to have family, boyfriend and friends who love me a lot!

Early in the morning, I went for a good birthday run! Somehow, I feel that I have a lot of energy to run and it feels so good after the run! Then I sent my dear princess to school before going home for lunch.

After lunch, I went to town to meet Jianhui! He had bought me a beautiful bouquet, a nice My Melody organizer and my favourite strawberry shortcake! Then we went to to watch a funny movie, Friends with benefits. It's a funny movie of high entertaining value.

We were so hungry after the movie that we decided to go for early dinner at Jack's place! As usual, dinner was good! I love Jack's Special Steak! After a good dinner, we went to Paulaner for good beer!

Today is the last day of September. This will also mean that we will be moving on to the last quarter of the year. I don't know about you, but this year, time seems to fly past me every other day. Before we know it, we will be celebrating Christmas and we will be counting down to the year of 2012.

On a positive note, Jianhui and I had started furnishing our house with some basic stuff and we are getting excited to spend time at our house. :) Now, our house definitely looks more happy as compared to when we just got our house from our sellers. When it is fully renovated, I bet our house will be a perfect cosy home for us. I am kinda looking forward to work with Jianhui to renovate our house to be our cosy home. Hehe.

As for now, I really hope to earn and save more money! =p

Happy Birthday to my dearest sis!

It was my sis' birthday yesterday and we went to Batam! Before going Batam, we went to Yonghe for breakfast cum lunch. Then we went to JSPL to fetch Serene to go Batam together! Serene had a quick lunch and we boarded WaveMaster immediately. It was a quick ride to Batam. As it was a weekday, there weren't many people.

When we reached Batam, the staff from Spa Tropical was there to fetch us to the Spa. We had chosen a 3hrs treatment to pamper ourselves. It was totally a relaxing and shiok massage for me. :) And the most important thing is, it only cost $60 for this 3hrs treatment! Value for money for sure!

Jenny, the manager even bought a cake to celebrate my sis' birthday! It's so sweet of them! I would definitely go there for massage!

After that, we went to Ngoya Hill. There wasn't much to shop, but I bought a beautiful pair of heels which I can wear for Celene's wedding! :) We ate our dinner at A&W before we made our way to Harbourbay to take a ferry back to Singapore.

All in all, it was a good day, celebrating my sis' birthday. :) I'm looking forward to the next Batam trip! Hehe.

A weekend of Wedding

On Friday, I attend my buddy, David and Huixian's wedding dinner at Intercontinental Hotel. I didn't know anybody except David and Mingjun. Then I got to know David's friend, Joyce who came from Malaysia. She's friendly and funny so we had a good chat during the wedding. I went to join Jianhui and Liewen for dessert before going back home. Knowing that I don't like to go home from Bugis, Jianhui sent me home. :)

As for Saturday, Tsz Kit and Zhanhong came to pick me up then we went to JB. We were going to stay in JB for one night then attend Chet Siang's wedding lunch on Sunday. Three of us were really brave to drive in JB without a map and GPRS. Fortunately, we managed to meet up with the rest at KSL City eventually. Then, all of us went for Bak Ku Teh. The Bak Ku Teh was just normal to me. After eating, we went to Thistle Hotel. It's a new hotel and the room is spacious and good. Yuxiu and I were contented with our room! =p

After resting for a while, we went to Chet Siang's house for dinner. He had renovated his house and I really like the idea of having a sub-unit just beside his parent's house! Haha. As I was still full from the Bak Ku Teh, I didn't eat much. After eating, we starting to eat the peanuts (which was really nice) and played some drinking games. The wine was quite nice. About 11 plus, we made our way back to the hotel. It was a long and tiring day and so all of us went to sleep after bathing. :) As usual, I didn't sleep well and I kept on waking up every 2 hours.

On Sunday morning, Yuxiu, Brendan, Siying and I went for morning breakfast. The breakfast was terrible. Bleargh. After our breakfast, we went back our room to get ready for the wedding lunch. Jianhui reached the hotel around 1130.

At around 1145, we made our way to Grand Bayview Restuarant. We were the early birds. Subsequently, the guests started to come for the lunch. We started to fill our stomach with the wedding cake and peanuts. Unlike Singapore's wedding lunch, they served the dishes quite slowly in JB. The wedding lunch ended at around 4.30pm...

When most of the guests had left, Chet Siang was made to drink a lot of alcohol. It was madness. He was kinda drunk when the guys took him to the wedding car. Then, all of us went back to Singapore.

Luckily, there wasn't any jam on our way back and so we could reach Singapore quite fast. =p

All in all, it was a good weekend and now, it's back to WORK tomorrow.

I finally get to rest!

I had been working almost everyday (other than Public Holidays) since 13th August 2011 till 4th September 2011. Thank god for the 2 Public Holidays, if not I would be so tired. And now, I finally can have some rest. Imagine working for so many days for at least 12 hours a day. All I can say is, I'm so tired that my brain is not functioning that well... haha.

I had worked so hard that my chest feels tight and occasionally, I experience heart pain. Sometimes, I even experience pain in my stomach. I just hope that all these will go away after resting for 2 days. :)

Despite feeling so tired, I went for Army Half Marathon 2011 last Sunday. I seriously think that I must be crazy to wake up at 4 plus to go for a 21km run when I was so tired and under trained. Whatever it is, I am glad that I had completed it. Though the timing isn't fantastic, I'm happy (and surprised) that I could complete it given that I was in such a bad state. And the most amazing thing was, I even rushed to work after going home to bathe. I was rushing like hell and I managed to make it just in time to work. I'm good, isn't it?

It was a hectic August and I hope September will be a better month for me. I would like to spend more time with my family, friends and my boyfriend. And, I also hope that I will have more free time from September till end of this year. *Praying hard*

A hectic month

I had been working for 12 consecutive days with no rest. All I can say is, I am feeling very very tired. Imagine working for 12 consecutive days from 8 plus to 8 plus. While most people have weekends to rest, I work on weekends too. It's madness, isn't it?

Thanks to Chan Chan and Zainon, I could take half day off yesterday and this morning. If not, I would have to work till Friday. Though it's a short rest, I am thankful for it.

I just hope that September will come soon!

I need to have some life back. I want to spend time with my family, friends and my boyfriend.

I'm back!

I am back from a wonderful trekking trip with a bunch of fun people. There were a total of 11 of us - Teck Loon & Jiaqi, Liewen and Kalyn, YY & Meiying, Jianhui & me, Biru, Shuling and Vivien. We had lots of fun and laughter. Most importantly, it was a relaxing trip for all of us. Just nature and us. =p

We met up at Marsiling MRT station on Friday at 12am. After doing some last minute packing, we were all ready to go. I feel kinda guilty as most of their bags are much bigger and heavier than me. Ops. :) Thanks to Jianhui, I don't have to carry so much things. *Happy*

As usual, I couldn't sleep at all on the mini van though I was feeling really very tired. I was surprised that it was only 6am when we reached Meran and we ate happy breakfast before starting our trekking trip. Breakfast was good and then we continued on our journey to the starting point. At the starting point, we started to get changed to get ready for the trekking. Soon, the 4WD came and it was like a big lorry with 4 wheels. Hmm...

It was a bumpy 45mins to 1hr ride. We were too happy when we finally reached the base of Jerangkang waterfall. And so we started the climb with Jianhui leading us. To our surprise, it was a short 35 minutes trekking to the waterfall. We were so tired that we just wanted to settle down and set up our tents. :) We just got to admit that we are no longer that young to venture further.

After settling down, we went for a dip at the waterfall! It was freezing cold but fun! :) After playing for a while, we started to feel hungry and so we cooked maggie mee with hotdog! It was really nice, eating maggie mee at such place. After lunch, the zZzz monster seemed to attack us. One by one, we fell asleep on the breakwater.

Some of us went for a 2nd dip before we decided to bathe in the evening. It was quite an experience bathing at the waterfall. I even washed my hair. haha. After bathing, we started to cook dinner. We're having pasta with carbonara or tomato, whipped potato, luncheon meat and cold fruit cocktail. It's a fantastic dinner, isn't it?

Everything was perfect until it started to rain at around 8 plus. Somehow, our tent was flooded... We tried to scoop some of the water out and then we tried to find dry spot for us to sleep. Luckily, the rain stopped after a while and we went out to boil some water for coffee. It was totally a luxury to drink hot coffee on a cold weather like this.

At around 10 plus, we went back to our tents to sleep. Though I didn't really sleep, at least I managed to catch a bit of sleep. The ground was hard, so I had difficulty trying to find a comfortable position.

We woke up around 7 plus. We started to wash up and prepared breakfast. And of course, we must take a group photo before leaving this peaceful place!

Around 9, we were all ready to descend. Due to the rain, the route was a bit slippery and so we had to go slow. After about 45 minutes trekking, we finally reached the base. We were so happy to see our lorry-like 4WD. Haha.

This time round, the ride was even more bumpy. But, I guess we shouldn't complain since we we would definitely prefer to take this ride rather than walking our way out of this place. :) Then, the mini van came to pick us up at the same meeting place.

We had lunch at the same place where we had breakfast. We had chicken rice which was quite comforting as I am craving for rice. Haha. As per our plan, we would have lunch, then we would sleep all the way and then we will have dinner in JB before going back to Singapore.

The driver brought us to a seafood restaurant with seaview of Singapore. We ordered a lot of food and it was definitely a satisfying dinner. I even ate papaya so that it will help me in digesting after eating so much for the past 2 days. Haha.

Surprisingly, it was a smooth ride back to Singapore with no jam. :)

I'm so happy to be home at 8pm! It's time for me to relax and prepare for a hectic day at work tomorrow.

All in all, it was a great trip. I've truly enjoyed myself tremendously and it was a good break from work. =p

* My whole body is aching! My butt hurts, my back hurts and my arms hurt too! My goodness. I am really getting old! A trekking trip like this is enough to cause "damage" to my body!

For the past few days, I have been feeling really stressed, vexed, depressed and troubled. In fact, I think I am going crazy if not for the support from my family, friends and my understanding boyfriend.

I'll be going for a trekking trip this weekend and this is a good break at a right time. With no connection with the world, I think I will be able to think better and most importantly, just relax.

Hopefully, I will feel much better after the trip.

A walk along the railway track

After a happy lunch at McDonald's, Jianhui and I made our way to Bukit Timah for our little trek from Bukit Timah to Commonwealth. I was excited about this as I have been wanting to walk along the railway track since it was shut down 2 weeks ago. And I am happy that I can finally go there for a walk before everything would become history. No more train to KL, no more railway track, and no more beautiful trees and flowers along the track. All these will go into our history books once the government start to develop the area.

Thanks to Jianhui's advice, I had brought sports shoes. If not, it would be quite a challenge to walk on the railway track in slippers. Along the way, we took many photos and it was really nice to see the other side of Singapore. I nearly thought that I was just a tourist at some foreign country. Surprisingly, there were many people walking along the railway track on a Friday afternoon. After about one and half hour walk, we had reached Commonwealth.

Then we took a bus to Queensway to shop for running shoes and running shorts. I managed to buy 2 pairs of running shorts before we went over to IKEA. We were excited to buy the IKEA ice-cream. However, to our disappointment, it wasn't that nice. I am sure that they had probably changed the recipe of the ice-cream. It used to be so nice, but now, it's just didn't taste that nice. :(

It is always nice to walk around IKEA, looking at the furniture. I would say it was quite a fulfilling trip to IKEA. :) And then, it's time for meatballs and chicken wings! It was a happy and satisfying dinner for sure.

Thereafter, we went to Marina Square to look at the TV and to relax at Xin Wang HK cafe before we went home to rest.

All in all, it was a happy and relaxing day with Jianhui! :) Life is GREAT!

Last Friday, Jianhui and I decided to have a happy dinner at Jack's place to brighten up our life. It was a good dinner at our favourite place! I simply love Jack's Place steak. :) After dinner, we went for a walk to Esplanade. It was breezy and it was so nice to enjoy the beautiful scenery, especially with the NDP rehearsal going on.

Thereafter, I went to Kronaxis Cafe to meet up with the ex Compass Point team. Jolene had organized this gathering as a welcome dinner for Wendy. Meeting up with them reminds me of my PFC days. It was fun working with this Compass Point team and I must say there are times when I miss those days as a PFC. We party hard and we work hard together. Those were the days. We stayed up until 12+ before Del sent Ailing and me home. It was a good catch up session with them. Thanks to Jolene for organizing this gathering!

And yes, I finally got to meet up with Ailing for her birthday lunch on Monday. We had lunch at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant with brother Jason. We ate dim sum and the Ee Mee was really nice. It was indeed a happy lunch!

Precious Family Time

Last Saturday, I finally get to spend time with my family. We went to Jalan Kayu for breakfast cum lunch together! =p After a happy lunch, we went to look at the showflat for River Parc in Punggol. The walk-in wardrobe is really cool. It's nice to go for showflat to get ideas to renovate my house. Haha.

After that, Papa Alan gave me a ride to Vivocity since they were going there for movie. I went to branch to do some work.

Then, I went to Clarke Quay to meet Jianhui. It had been such a busy week for us that we did not meet up for the whole week. We went Brewerks for happy dinner and beer! It's always good to have happy food after a hectic working week. =p Then, we went to Cineleisure Cathay to watch Transformers! It's a nice movie though I think I prefer Transformer 1! hehe.

After movie, we went home as I need to sleep early for GE run the next day.

It was challenging to wake up early on Sunday morning as I was feeling very tired. Nevertheless, I dragged my tired body up from the bed and went for GE run with my sis. Jianhui was there early to help me to take my bag. :)

As usual, we went to McDonald's for happy breakfast after the race. It's definitely a SOP for me to eat McDonald's after race. Haha.

Papa Alan drove us to Jianhui's house. I was feeling so sleepy and tired after the race that I feel like taking a nap. :)

After resting for a while after lunch, we went to our house! Jianhui passed me the house key to me officially!

As busy as a bee!

I have been very busy preparing for audit since mid June until now. I would work from 8 plus to 11 almost everyday and I would only spend 10 minutes eating lunch. I don't get to see my family, boyfriend and friends as I am basically spending all my time in branch. I was feeling so tired and stressed everyday. This is totally a nightmare.

If not for my dear sista, Kristie who had agreed to cover me on Saturday during this critical period, I would not be able to make it for my first overseas race at KL. It was definitely a good break from work to relax. Jianhui and I took a flight via AirAsia to KL on Saturday morning, then we took at SkyBus to KL Sentral. From there, we took the LRT to our hotel. It was a good experience, making our way to the hotel on our own. Thanks to my resourceful boyfriend, we were able to reach the hotel without getting lost.

While waiting for my sis and friends to reach the hotel, we rested in the hotel for a while before we went to Chinatown for FOOD! We ate the wanton mee, muay chee and drank coconut. :)

Finally, my sis they all arrived and then we rushed to the stadium to collect our race pack! We were so late that they were starting to remove the queue poles! Ops! The good thing was, there wasn't any queue and so we could collect our race packs quickly!

We took the LRT back to our hotel and it was almost dinner time. We decided to eat claypot rice! We had to wait a long time but it was yummy! After dinner, we walked around Chinatown before Jianhui and I went back to hotel to rest as Jianhui got to wake up early for his full marathon the next day.

When I woke up the next morning, Jianhui had already gone for his race. I got ready quickly and went over to my sis' room to go for our race together. Papa Alan and Alan Chua came over to my sis' room then we walked to the starting point. For the 10km race, it was an up slope to the starting point. It was a good warming up exercise for sure. Haha.

For this 10km route, there was a lot up and down slope. It's a nice experience to run in a foreign place as I get to see interesting and new things along the way. Though the timing wasn't fantastic, we were happy to complete our first overseas race together!

We went back to the hotel to bathe and thereafter, we went back to the ending point. Papa Alan accompanied me to wait for Jianhui. I was really happy to see Jianhui at the finishing line. In fact, he was waiting for me for quite some time at the fountain while I was waiting at another place. haha.

We went back to the hotel together. After that, we packed our stuff and went for happy lunch at A&W! I miss the rootbeer float! Hehe. The corney hotdog was okay only. Somehow, it tasted quite different.

After our lunch, Jianhui and I relaxed at the sofa at the hotel lobby while the others went for more food... haha. We were feeling so tired that it was so nice to relax at the sofa. We nearly fell asleep a few times. haha.

Around 5+, we made our way back to Singapore. It was a long journey back home. Special thanks to the drivers - Papa Alan, Alan Chua, Kenneth and Shawn for driving us back home! We finally reached da ma hua yuan for dinner at around 9. We had a sumptuous dinner before we drove back to Singapore.

All in all, it was a short but fun trip. Thanks to my sis who had organized this trip for all of us! =p

I would definitely love to go for more overseas race! My next target would be a 21km race!

A nice weekend before the nightmare starts...

I have been very busy with work that I find that working 14 hours a day is simply not enough. I even tried to have short lunch so that I have more time to complete my work. Sometimes, I even had to do work while eating lunch. I tried to go office early, but it seems like it is still "not early" enough to complete the tasks I want to complete. I feel so tired and stressful that I could feel that I may faint anytime. I am so glad that I can finally have a relaxing weekend before going back to work tomorrow.

On Friday, I went to JB with Tee, Jenny Leong & Mok! It was a relaxing and nice short trip to JB with Tee as our driver and guide! I had a short session of half body massage and even did pedicure while the girls went shopping. Then Tee drove us to a seafood place for lunch before we went back to City Square to buy Secret Recipe cakes and Angry Bird for my sis. After buying the cake, we made our way back to Singapore. I must say it was a great trip with the girls.

My sis and brother in law tabao-ed the crabs from Melben Seafood Restaurant for Father's Day dinner. It was so nice! I simply love the crab beehoon. After dinner, we ate our favourite Secret Recipe's marble cheese cake...

As for Saturday, I went to Jianhui's place early in the morning. He wanted to bring me to the kampong where we can see durians. Unfortunately, we don't get to see any durians and all I get is, a total of at least 3o mosquitoes' bites. I am sure that the mosquitoes are so hungry for blood and they probably don't really like me as I am the only one who was bitten so badly. :(

In the evening, we had happy crab feast at Jumbo! It was a rushed dinner as we got to rush for movie at 7.05pm... We were going to watch X Men First Class. The movie was really good! =p

As for Sunday, it was a good day for me to rest and relax. My sis, brother in law and I ran 7.5km to Punggol Promenade to buy Popeyes for dinner. Thereafter, we took a cab back. I must say it's a perfect way to end the weekend with a good run.

All in all, it was a good weekend and now my nightmare is going to start tomorrow. 8.5 consecutive working days to go! Ganbattle!

Sundown Marathon 2011

After an evening run last weekend, I went for Sundown 10km run along Changi Coast Road. It was a smooth journey driving to Changi Exhibition Centre. As a result, we were early, we had time to take many photos at the starting point. :)

When the race started, there were so many runners that it was so difficult to run, especially there were some runners (or walkers) who started walking right after the race was flagged off. As a result, Jianhui and I decided to run outside the barricade of the route. We started off with a fast pace. By 5km, I was already feeling so tired.

Finally, I managed to finish the race with my personal best timing - 1hr08min. :) It was a great achievement for me. :)

And then our nightmare started. It was super jammed on our way out of Changi Exhibition Centre. As a result, it took us 3hours to reach home from Changi Exhibition Centre. Ahh!! By the time we were home, it was already 11pm! It's such a waste of time.

I am definitely not going to sign up for Sundown Marathon next year if the organizers are not changing the starting point or route!

Passion Run 2011

I have been feeling so lost that I am "dying" to go for races lately. And I am definitely so happy to go for Passion Run 2011 on Saturday! It's a beautiful evening with good weather. Jianhui and Papa Alan were there to support my sis and me too!

Throughout the whole race, there was nice aroma of BBQ food which was making me so hungry. Seeing people cycling and rollerblading along ECP, it makes me miss those ECP days. I used to go ECP every Sunday. I really wish that I can go ECP more often.

After running to Ford road and back to starting point, my sis and I were so happy to complete the 12km run! :) It feels good to complete a race.

After race, we went to Blk 85 Food Centre for happy food! We ate BBQ chicken wings, Fried Oyster, Satay and of course the famous Ba Chor Mee! Yummy! It was a great dinner, complete with durians bought at the stall near the market!

It was definitely a great Saturday! I am looking forward to Sundown Marathon this coming Saturday!

The Lion King

After staying up late for the election results on Sunday, I was feeling so tired the whole week. It's a sign that I'm getting old. No more late nights for me. Imagine, one late night is enough to make me feel so tired for the whole week.

I was so tired that I didn't want to go anywhere and I had stayed at home on my off day on Friday to rest... After resting for one whole day, I went to MBS to watch The Lion King musical with my sis and Alan in the evening. It was a great musical with great costumes, props and setting. I had truly enjoyed the musical. :) I was truly impressed with the musical. Before the muscial, we had a hard time find a restaurant to eat dinner. In the end, we ended up eating at Beanstro which belongs to the CoffeeBean family. The pasta was surprisingly quite good. =p

Life is good if I can always eat happy food and enjoy life...

A memorable Saturday - 7th May 2011

When I voted 5 years ago for the first time, I was excited but, at that time, I feel that my vote would not make much of a difference since I belonged to a GRC back then. This time round, when I was on my way to vote, I was nervous and excited. I was determined to make a difference. And I was very anxious about the results the whole day. I know that there would be disappointments no matter what's the outcome of the results. True enough, I was upset that we have lost George Yeo, Mr Chiam and Potong Pasir. Nevertheless, I am sure many of us would ensure that we would always remember their contributions and share with our future generation. Their legacy will always remains in our hearts.

Jolin Tsai's Myself Concert

Thanks to Jianhui, we had free tickets to go for Jolin Tsai's concert. I am not a fan of hers. Nevertheless, I have always like to sing her songs in KTV, and so we decided to go to her concert despite that we were so anxious about the election results.

After watching her concert, I was truly amazed how well she can really dance! It's simply amazing! She must have worked very hard to be able to dance so well. *Applause* For the whole concert, she sang many fast numbers and I wonder how can she remember all the dance moves? She is so skinny and her arms are very tone.

All in all, it was a good and entertaining concert. =p

A long break

I was off from Wednesday till today. I had accomplished quite a lot of things during this long break. I must say it was a fulfilling break. It was a long break that I find it so hard to get into the mood to go back to work tomorrow. I would be expecting to check 200+ of emails and tonnes and tonnes of work waiting for me to do. It's a price to pay to take such long break.

I went on a cruise with my sis, brother in law and my dearest princess on Wednesday. We boarded StarCruise Virgo around 5 plus and it marked the beginning of our feast! The good thing about cruise is, you can eat all you want! Hehe. And the food is quite good actually! Throughout the trip, I simply enjoyed each meal. And this time round, we were staying in the balcony room at such a low price! It's definitely value for money!

On Thursday, we went to Redang Island! Just like 5 years ago, this island is so beautiful. I would love to come back here for diving someday! =p We went back to StarCruise Virgo at around 5 plus.

This time round, I didn't sleep that well as I could feel the vibration while sleeping. Is it because we were staying at level 11? Or is it because I was so tired the previous time that I couldn't feel the vibration? Whatever it is, it was a good trip to relax. :)

Beautiful Redang Beach

As for Saturday, I went to Bukit Batok to meet Jianhui. After settling some stuff, we went to Bukit Timah for a happy lunch. I love eating at Bukit Timah. All the food seems so happy and nice! :) Thereafter, we went to Cathay to watch the movie, Thor. It was quite a nice movie. =p After movie, we had dinner at Ichiban before we went back home.

On Sunday, we went to Mandarin Oriental Hotel to meet up with Bethany to make a final confirmation. It was a good meetup. I felt so relieved and happy now. After having lunch at Kenny Roger's, I went to Angelsky for facial. I was so relaxed that I fell asleep during facial. Haha. After facial, my sis and I went to Toa Payoh to wait for Alan to fetch us for dinner. While waiting, we went to buy our favourite KOI! I simply love KOI! If there is a KOI outlet in Vivocity, I would definitely queue up to buy it everyday! Haha. In the end, Alan couldn't join us due to his work, hence, we went to Whampoa Keng Fish Steamboat by cab. It was a good dinner. I was really very full.

As for today, I met up with my JC friends for KTV! =p Our last gathering was during Chinese New Year, so it was really nice to meet up with them finally. The food was K Lunch doesn't look that happy, but surprisingly, it's not too bad. :) Huiyi and I went home together after KTV as she is staying just a few blocks away from me.

As for now, I am just going to relax till night time.

I just don't want my long break to come to an end... Sigh...

First race of the year - 2XU

I just came back from my first race of the year! :) It was a good 12km run though I was struggling to run with blocked nose and sore throat. It does not help that I have not been training due to my busy working schedule. It started to rain when we were at 3km. Luckily, it was just drizzling, if not I would probably gotten sick after running in the rain. All in all, I'm glad that I had completed it. Hehe.

The baggage deposit is really crap. We had to wait to deposit our bag and after the race, we had to queue for at least 3o minutes before we could get the bag. This is so inefficient. And for the first time, I wish I could drink more plain water during the race though Pocari Sweat tastes quite nice. Hehe.

And of course, we had to eat MacDonald's breakfast after the race. It's definitely my comfort food after each race! Hehe.

As for the rest of the Sunday, I would love to relax at home and enjoy Sunday!

I miss weekend

Ever since I had graduated from school, I never have the luxury of enjoying weekend. When I was a sales staff, I work on weekends. Even when I become a CSM, I work on Saturday (half day). And now, I work on Saturday and Sunday.

I really wish to have weekend to relax and meet up with friends. How nice it is if I can meet up with friends on Saturday and just relax at home on Sunday with family? Or going to ECP on a Sunday afternoon for some breeze? Due to my hectic work, I find it so difficult even to meet up with friends on weekdays for dinner as I usually finish work around 8+ while others finish work at 6-7. There are times, I don't even get to see my ah nei or parents for days as they would be asleep by the time I am home.

Where is my weekend?

I miss it so much.

Busy Quarter

Can u believe it? One quarter had passed just like that... It seems like I had just celebrate New Year's Day and now it is already 1st of April. Time just seems to pass by so fast, don't you think so?

All in all, it had been a busy and fulfilling first quarter for me in the year of 2011. =p I was transferred to a new branch (with more challenges and definitely busier than last time); made a "big purchase"; gone for a wonderful holiday at NZ and supported Jianhui at Ironman NZ. Life is great. :) I guess I must have enjoyed myself so much in NZ that it's time for me to work hard. Work is draining all my energy everyday. And I have no time for anything as I work from 9-9 almost every day. Sometimes, I just feel so tired that I just want to rot at home and relax. I've learnt that sometimes, it feels good to be able to relax at home on my off day.

There are quite a lot of things that I would like to achieve in 2nd quarter of 2011. So, it is important for me to find time to plan ahead and achieving all my goals by 2nd quarter. Looking forward to a great 2nd quarter!

Weekend Getaway

I had just came back from Batam! It's a short weekend getaway, organized by my sis. It was a good short trip to relax and I am happy to be back home now. Somehow, I always miss home and Singapore food after a trip. I guess I can forget about migrating to other country since I love Singapore food so much. =p

When we reached Batam View Resort, our rooms were not ready. So, we decided to have buffet lunch at CoffeeHouse. The food was okay, but it seemed like the fried rice and crabs was "limited edition". We had to wait for a long time before they would replenish the food. After lunch, our rooms were finally ready and so we went to our rooms to rest. The room was quite cosy and most importantly, the bed is big and comfortable!

Thereafter, we went to the pool for a swim. Gwyneth really enjoyed herself and refused to get out of the water. Haha. After our swim, Sis and I wanted to go for spa, but it was fully booked. :( So, we went for a walk at the beach...

Gwyneth was down with high fever and flu, and so they brought her to see doctor while Jianhui and I relaxed at the lounge. Poor girl must have gotten a flu after swimming for so long.

Then we went to Kelong Seafood Restuarant for dinner. The fish was really fresh and good. :) By the time we had finished dinner, we were so tired that we went back room to sleep...

It's always good to be on holiday... It helps you to relax and it makes you feel good. Looking forward to my next holiday!

On Friday, I stayed in office all the way till 11 plus. This must be my latest record. 15 hours in branch. *tired* I am glad that at least my boss, Wendy and Junhao were around with me. If not, I would be so lost and lonely. Thanks boss and Junhao! :) It was a memorable night and I'm happy that the issue was finally resolved. Phew!

Back to work

I am back to work and I still miss Taupo so much! In fact, I have been dreaming of NZ every night since I came back.

I just miss that place so much.

Ever since I had came back, I haven been able to sleep well. I would sleep at 1+, wake up at 3+ or 5+ and at 7+, it is time for me to wake up for work. :( As a result, I had fallen sick. I started to feel unwell since Friday, but I continued to go to work from Sat till today. It's finally my off day tomorrow, and I will use it to rest so that I can recover soon.

I attended Xueling's wedding at Grand Copthorne last night. There were a total of 5 tables of Sun Plaza ex and current colleagues. It's nice to meet up with so many of them. :) It's a nice wedding and Xueling looks so pretty as ever. The dinner started early and it also ended quite early to the benefit of all guests who probably have to go to work the next day. After the dinner, Francis sent to me and I'm happy that I can reach home early to rest.

Meanwhile, I just hope that I can get well soon!

7-8th March - Auckland & Home Sweet Home

It was a sad day for us today as we had to leave our favourite Taupo to Auckland. It was a long ride that we had to stop for some "stretching exercises' along the way.

And of course, we had to buy our favourite Tauranga's Domino's Pizza! It was just as good and we enjoyed our delicious lunch at Memorial Park. Even the birds are eyeing our food...

Finally, we reached Auckland at around 5+. However, there were so many cars and it was confusing to drive around Auckland City. We managed to find the hotel, but it was just so difficult to drive to the doorstep. In the end, we decided to park by the road side and checked in first before driving our car to the hotel's parking lot.

Copthorne Auckland Hotel was a disappointment. It was small and it looked old. We certainly preferred those motels in Tauranga, Rotorua and Taupo. After checking in, we rested for a while before going to the same Jap Restuarant for ramen.

It was going to be our last day in NZ. We were feeling so blue about going back to Singapore...

8th March

We had so much fun in NZ, and now it's time for us to go back home. We drove to the airport at 9am. After returning the car, we checked in our luggage. Despite that we had tried our very best to minimize our check in luggage, we had exceeded our luggage limit. And we had to pay $270 for it. :( It's only 5kg. Why can't they just allow us to check in our luggage for free?

IronMate & IronMan

We had MacD before boarding the plane for lunch. Due to the different time zone, I had lunch for 3 times on my way back to Singapore. I was so sick of the smell of the food that I feel nausea. I don't feel like eating anything on the plane back from Melbourne to Singapore.

After such a long flight, I had finally reached Singapore! My sis, Alan and Gwyneth were there to welcome me back! And my sis even bought KOI for me! I'm so touched and happy.

It's nice to be back home! I miss home!

5th Mar - Taupo (Race Day) & 6th Mar

In a blink of eyes, today is already my last 4 days in New Zealand. It has been a long and relaxing holiday that I afraid it will be very difficult for me to go back to work next Wednesday. The thought of going back to work certainly does not excite me. Oh well, just hope that I won’t suffer from jet lag and fatigue when I am back in Singapore on Tuesday.

Today is an important day. It’s the race day for Ironman NZ. Jianhui is participating it for the first time. It is definitely a challenging race and to make things worse, it has been raining for the whole day since 4am. It is freezing cold, even for supporters. I was freezing like hell this morning as I didn’t have an umbrella with me. And yes, I was waiting for him at the transit area in the rain. It was super cold for me, but I know that this is nothing compared to what Jianhui is experiencing, so the least I can do is to be there for him. When I saw him coming out from the lake, I was relieved and excited for him since swimming is definitely not his strongest segment. As for now, I am waiting for Jianhui to cycle past the motel for the 2nd time before he proceeds to the full marathon. At this moment, I am excited about him doing the Ironman, yet at the same time, I can’t help but to feel worried for him.

Around 4 plus, I saw Jianhui cycling past me outside the motel! I was so happy as this would mean that he had completed his 180km of cycling! This is definitely an amazing feat as I would feel super shag even after cycling 40km! And so, I packed my stuff and walked to the running route. I was so lucky that despite that I was walking very slowly (due to the rain), I had managed to catch him at the starting point for the running segment. At this moment, the rain persisted and I guess it must be so freezing cold for all the participants. I cheered them on, hoping that this will at least motivate them to complete the last segment of Ironman. After all, they have come so far. It will be a waste if they were to give up now.

I had a quick MacDonald’s meal before going back to the running route to look out for Jianhui. And finally, I saw him! Running is indeed his strongest event. After such a hectic day, he was still able to run a half marathon faster than me. *Shame on me*

Then I walked to the finishing line and the atmosphere there is fantastic. Everybody cheered loudly for all finishers even it was raining heavily. It was really a good event and I was there to cheer for all the finishers. They are really awesome to complete Ironman! At the same time, I keep on looking out for Jianhui as he may run in anytime. When I saw him running in, I shouted loudly for him as I was worried that he couldn’t see me among the crowd. Luckily, he saw me and I was so relieved and happy for him. The feeling is indescribable. He stopped right in front of me and started taking off his so-called amazing necklace which he claimed that can help to relieve all pain and relief. And then, I saw a sparkling diamond ring! He kneeled down right in front of me! I was happy and speechless. In fact, I was touched to tears. Mike, the MC came over and Jianhui proposed to me! And of course, the answer is YES, I DO! Everybody cheered for us and those supporters beside me congratulated me.

This was definitely a memorable night for me… I would never forget this amazing moment on 5th March at Taupo. Jianhui, thanks for giving me such a wonderful surprise which I will remember for life.

As for the last day at Taupo, we went to Great Lake Centre to do some last minute shopping and to collect Jianhui's Certificate. Thereafter, we went to Pub and Grub for lunch. The Southern Man Steak is just as good as before. We also bought beer to drink and relax at the pub.

It is such a relaxing and beautiful afternoon.

We went to the Convention Centre for Ironman's award dinner. There wasn't anything exciting and so, we went to KFC for dinner. Somehow, I find that the KFC at Taupo is nicer.

After dinner, we decided to go to Lake Taupo for one last time before we leave this place. And we saw rainbow! It's such a beautiful sight. :)

Then, we went back to our motel to pack our luggage to go back Auckland. We love Taupo so much that we are starting to feel sad to leave this beautiful place tomorrow.

1st - 4th Mar 2011 - Taupo

1st Mar - Taupo
From Rotorua, we drove about 1 hour to Taupo. When we reached Taupo, the weather is kinda hot and you can see that many people on the road are just wearing T-shirt with bermudas. We checked in to Chantilly's and we are quite happy that it's a nice place to stay for 6 days. Imagine if we don't like this room, we have to bear with it for 6 days. Bleargh... Besides that, we can borrow DVDs from them to watch!

Once we had settled down, Jianhui started to assemble Che Che! To me, it's so tedious to assemble Che Che, but it seems to be so easy for him. Within half an hour, Che Che is ready to go for race!

Jianhui had a short ride just outside our room. Thereafter, we went to Lake Taupo for a walk. It's nice to sit on the bench, facing Lake Taupo. It's so peaceful and serene. I simply love this kind of feeling. It's something which we cannot find in Singapore. We went back to Chantilly's after having dinner at BK.

Early in the morning, the weather feels much colder. We brought the wet suit to Lake Taupo for wet dip before Jianhui got dressed to go for a swim trial. Many other Ironman's participants are there for a quick swim too. According to him, the water does not feel cold with wet suit on.

In the afternoon, we went for car ride around the town along the bike route. It seems to far to me! Completing 180km of cycling is definitely not an easy task. Jianhui went for so bike recce while I waited for him in the car. Unfortunately, it started raining after a while, and so he had to stop cycling and we went back to our motel.

Throughout the day, we could see that there were many participants cycling around the town. They are just so on. It is interesting to see so many cyclists and runners in town.

3rd Mar - Registration
After having our breakfast, we went to Great Lake Centre for registration! There was quite a long queue and we had to wait under the sun. Luckily, we didn't have to wait too long before Jianhui could collect his race pack! His race pack is quite good. He got a bag for his wheels and some useful stuff in his goodie bag!

While walking around Great Lake Centre (actually our intention is to get free Kellogg's nutri-grain), we saw Bozzone, Ironman NZ No. 2! We took a photo with him and most importantly, we got 2 boxes of nutri-grain! =p

After lunch, we went to Huka Fall! Huka Fall is a beautiful waterfall. It is so beautiful that I feel like jumping into it for a swim. Haha. We also went to Honey Hive to look for Manuka Honey. The honey isn't that cheap and so we didn't buy any. It had proven to be a wrong choice as we couldn't find any cheaper honey anywhere else. Oh ya, the honey ice cream at Honey Hive is very nice!

Around evening time, we went to Great Lake Centre for the carbo dinner. When we saw that the place was so quiet, we sensed that we had gone to the wrong place. True enough, we had gotten to the wrong place. Thank to a guy from London, we got a ride to the destination. Everybody was seated and we were considered late comers. We had a quick dinner before the actual briefing started. The briefing was quite interesting. I was glad that I was able to attend this briefing. I feel so excited even when I was just a supporter.

After the briefing, we were thankful that the London guy decided to give us a ride back to our motel! And so, Jianhui started to pack his stuff for the check in tomorrow.

4th Mar - Bike Check-in
We brought Che Che and the 2 bags to the race site for check in the morning. We also walked around to understand the race route better.

After that, we had a relaxing afternoon by Lake Taupo, drinking coffee. I simply love Lake Taupo. :) We also shopping around the town, hoping to find some souvenirs and honey. But, it seems like we do not have much luck.

Nevertheless, I managed to get materials to make a banner for Jianhui! Haha. Here is my banner! It is quite nice, isn't it?

We slept early at night as we know that it was going to be a long day ahead... I was so excited that I couldn't sleep well!

28th Feb - Rotorua

After having our happy breakfast at MacD at Tauranga, we drove down to Rotorua! It was an hour drive from Tauranga to Rotorua. We checked in to Alpin Motor Lodge which is spacious as it has a living room and small place for cooking. Once again, we can park the car outside the room which is very convenient. :)

Then we went to Waimangu Volcanic Valley as recommended by the receptionist from Macy's. It was a nice walk looking at the craters and learning about Volcanos. By the time, we were done, it was already 3.30pm. So, we waited for the bus to fetch us to the starting point.

While driving back, we made a trip to Countdown, the supermarket. We started shopping for grocery and Jianhui suggested to cook spaghetti for dinner! We also bought one whole BBQ chicken for dinner!

Once we had reached home, we started cooking! Or rather I should say, Jianhui started cooking for me! I feel truly blessed to eat the spaghetti cooked by Jianhui. Haha.

After our dinner, we went for a walk to Lake Rotorua...

27th Feb - Tauranga

We woke up early in the morning to drive to Tauranga! With the "help" of GPS, we actually took a longer route to Tauranga. Somehow, this GPS prefers to go a longer route.

We checked in at Macy's Motor Inn and we love the room! The receptionist is very helpful too! She was so nice to offer us a bottle of milk. (In the end, we realize, it is a norm for them to give a bottle of milk, Meadow Fresh to guest. Nevertheless, we are grateful for this bottle of milk!)

After checking in, we went to Tauranga Airport for scenic flight! It would be my first time taking a helicopter! Yeah! The pilot is super nice and funny! And he loves to help us take photos too! Haha. Tauranga is such a beautiful place! I love the view from the helicopter!

After this, we went to Mount Maunganui. The beach there is like East Coast Park with all the bars and restuarants near the beach. We climbed all the way to the top of Mount Maunganui and I must say it is really tiring! Nevertheless, it is worth the effort. :) After resting for a while, we walked down the mountain and we bought ice cream which was super cheap and nice. This must be the best reward for climbing Mount Maunganui. Haha.

It's time for dinner and we decided to eat Domino's pizza. It is super cheap! One large pizza, one loaf of garlic bread, one box of fries and one 1.5L of coke costs us only $18.90! It is so cheap and nice! In fact, it is nicer than Pizza Hut!

We definitely had an enjoyable time at Tauranga today. We love the place so much that we wish we could stay one more night and we would definitely come back here.

26th Feb - Auckland

Early in the morning, we woke up for breakfast. But, to our disappointment, we couldn't find any MacD! Most shops were closed and we had no choice but to eat muffins from Muffin Break which was the only shop opened. It was definitely a wrong choice. The muffins weren't that good. :( And you know what? In the end, we realized at a shopping centre near Muffin Break, there was MacD and Burger King! Ah!

Then we went to Sky Tower! The tickets are freaking expensive, but I guess since we were on holiday, we would just spend the money. The view of Auckland City from Sky Tower was good and they even helped us to identify some of the iconic buildings or places in Auckland City. You can also sky walk or do sky diving over here!

After this, we went to buy tickets for Harbour Cruise! It is nice to go on cruise!

After cruise, we had subway for dinner before we went back to City Lodge to pack our stuff to head to Tauranga!

25th Feb - Auckland

After a long flight, we had finally reached Auckland! It feels like being in Australia, except that the weather isn't that cold over here as it is summer time now. The temperature is about 18-21 degree celsius which is like being in an air con room in Singapore. It was to our relief to see that all our luggage and Che Che had touched down successfully! Che Che plays an important role in this trip so imagine what will happen if he goes missing?!

Once we had gotten our car, we drove to City Lodge. It was quite an easy drive from airport to City Lodge. It is quite a disappointment as the service is really bad and the room is so small and packed. I am so glad that we would only be staying here for only 2 nights if not I would go crazy.

After taking a short rest, we walked around Auckland City and most shops was already closed. We were happy to find a Jap restuarant which sells ramen. It is quite a satisfying dinner compared to what I had eaten on the plane. :)

24th Feb - Flying off to NZ

After waiting for so long, I am finally flying off to New Zealand! It will be a long holiday for me with Jianhui. My parents and Gwyneth sent me to the airport while my sister couldn’t send me off as she had to study for her exam. Teck Loon came to meet us at the airport too!

After having some drinks, we went into the departure hall. We were excited to board the plane, but when it was near the boarding time, we were told that the flight would be delayed due to some technical fault. We were so worried that due to this delay, we would not be able to board our next flight. Luckily, we made it in time for our transit flight at Brisbane. We were quite sad that we could not have a proper rest at our favourite resting couch before boarding the plane. Nevertheless, at least we made it in time. This would mean that we are nearer to Auckland!

As usual, I couldn’t sleep on the plane… I just can’t wait to reach Auckland.

It had been a hectic Jan and Feb for me, and I am so glad that I am on long leave now! :) I will be flying off to NZ tonight! Yeah! This will be my longest trip ever. Though I am feeling excited, I can't help but to miss home too. I will miss everybody at home... Just hope that I will have WFI over there so that I can stay connected to Singapore. Oh ya, I think I will miss chinese food badly too. I am that kind of person who can't live without eating rice.

Transaction Done!

Today is a special day because the transaction is finally DONE! :)

After accompanying Jianhui's mum to see doctor, we went to Crystal Jade for lunch. After lunch, Jianhui and I went to Cineleisure to watch 127 hours which is quite a nice movie. The movie ended at 3pm which was just in time for me to meet Limin at Raffles City. I'm glad that I've managed to catch up with her before she goes back to Dubai. Subsequently, I went for a relaxing facial before I went back for dinner...

I love to Lou Hei

There's one thing that I love to do during Chinese New Year period and that is Lou Hei. I love to Lou Hei and of course I love to eat the crackers too. Hehe.

After branch had closed yesterday, we bought Sakae Sushi's yusheng to Lou Hei. For this Chinese New Year, I had eaten Sakae Sushi's yusheng 3 times and I must say the standard of the yusheng is inconsistent. And the most weird thing is, I can order the same size of yusheng but I will get different packets of crackers and be charged at different price too. Haha.

After that, I rushed to Hoiyuen's place for 2nd round of CNY gathering! It was really good to meet up with my Sun Plaza's colleagues. =p Boss kept on pouring sparkling wine for us and I love it! hehe. I had at least 4 small glasses of it. We also had a mini tour around Hoi Yuen's house after dinner.

Happy Chinese New Year to you!

January had been a busy month for me and with a blink of eyes, it's Chinese New Year! In fact, today is the 11th day of Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year has always been my favourite festive period as it is time for feasting, feasting and more feasting. It's also a good time to catch up with family and friends. It's a pity that I do not have the chance to gamble during this Chinese New Year as I have missed the gathering with my secondary school friends. :(

Early in the morning, I woke up to go to ECP to support Jianhui for his Singapore Biathlon today! :) He had managed to hit his personal best for this race! Yeah! After the race, Jianyun drove us to King Albert's Mac for breakfast before we went to Sixth Ave to fetch Che Che back home.

In the late afternoon, we went to CCK Crescent for one last time before my sis handed the keys to the new owners. I felt a bit sad as I really love her place. I took quite a lot of photos before we went to NEX to meet Celene and Alvin for dinner.

We has dinner at Crystal Jade Korean Restaurant which is quite nice. I ate so much until I was so full. *Burp* It was a good dinner with them as I had so much laughter over the dinner.

It had been a long day for me and I was so tired when I got home...

Weekend Getaway

I had just came back from a relaxing getaway at NSRCC. :) It was a relaxing getaway which helped me to forget about work for the time being.

On Thursday, we ordered buffet and a nice durian EMIcake to celebrate my father's 60th birthday! :) The food from YLS is quite good, but the durian cake is a bit disappointing. Perhaps it is too big, hence the quality of the cake was affected in a way.

As for Friday, we went shopping! :) I am happy that I have managed to get my Chinese New Year clothes! Haha. I am ready for Chinese New Year now... except that I need to do something about my hair and nails... Just hope that I have time to "beautify" myself before CNY! Hehe.

Thanks to Papa Alan's splendid idea, we had steamboat dinner at the chalet! We had a great feast! :)

Finally, we went to Changi V for happy lunch on Saturday before we went to Loyang Point to buy more food for steamboat. I also met up with Jianhui for a relaxing cycling time at ECP. Then it's steamboat time again!

All in all, it was really a great getaway... =p Enjoying every moment of it... hehe.

After relaxing for so many days, I really don't feel like going back to work tomorrow. Bleargh...

Busy & Stressed

It had been a stressful and busy week for me. As mentioned in my previous post, I was posted to Harbourfront Branch on Monday. It was stressful taking over the branch as I had to rememeber a lot of new things and at the same time, I had to do my duties as a CSM. I was so stressed and busy that I didn't have appetite to eat lunch at all. Just hope that I will be able to settle down at this new branch as soon as possible.

In fact, I was so stressed that I couldn't sleep last night until 2am... Then I woke up at 6+ to go and find Alan for the Austville's launch. We waited till 8+ before they started distibuting queue number to us! We are No. 3 in the queue! That's my lucky number! Haha. (",) And once we were inside, they got the unit they wanted! :) I am so happy for them. I was thinking if I get my house, I would feel so happy too. (Looking forward to own my own house soon...)Alan and sis stayed to settle some stuff while I went home to take a nap as I was feeling really tired.

All in all, it was a tiring day... tiring week.

Just hope that tomorrow will be a good day at work. And most importantly, I hope I will be able to sleep well tonight...

It was my last day at Sun Plaza Branch yesterday. I was feeling kinda upset... and stressed as there are just too many things to do.

Sick

I had fallen sick since Thursday. I feel slightly better today, but my eyes are still swollen and puffy. :( As a result, it makes me look sick and ugly.

It is going to be my last day of work at Sun Plaza Branch tomorrow. I feel really sad. As I was writing the farewell email this afternoon, I feel like crying at some point of time... Sigh. I hate to say goodbye...

I hope I will look much better tomorrow so that I can take some photos with my colleagues... Please let me recover! No more puffy eyes tomorrow!

Just like every other year, I went for a morning jog on the first day of the year. =p It was a nice run with cooling weather. :)

On the last day of 2010, it was an eventful day as I had managed to meet up with my family, bf, my colleagues and my dear friends. It was a super busy half day at work. Though the banking hour is until 1.30pm, I could only leave branch at 3+. After which, I went to northpoint to meet Jianhui for lunch. I had my favourite pork chop burger and Shilin Taiwan Fried Chicken. =p As Jianhui was sick, I went to his place instead of going out.

Around 6+, I took a cab to go to Molly's place. Subsequently, my sis and family came to join us too. Gwyneth was having fun playing with the car and Alan Choo's youngest daughter. It was a good gathering with my OCBC colleagues. We also went up to Molly's place before Alan drove me to Tze Kit's place.

I made it just in time at his place for the countdown with my secondary school friends! Haha. However, it seems like they are more interested in poker rather than welcoming 2011... I stayed till 2+ before I went home as I was just too tired.

All in all, 2010 has been a wonderful year for me. Though there's ups and downs, I am contented that I have wonderful family, boyfriend, colleagues and friends who have always be there for me. I am sure that 2011 is going to be fantastic year ahead! Huat ah!

My New Year's resolutions for the year 2011

1) Earn lots of money and save more money. For the year 2011, I hope that I will have a bigger pay raise and bonus! And with that, I want to save more money. Everything is so expensive nowadays, hence, I see that there is a need to save more money!

2) Spend more time with family and friends. It has been a busy year at work for the year 2010 that I hardly have time for family and friends. Hence, I hope that in the year 2011, I will have more work-life balance and I can spend quality time with my family and friends. :) I hope to have dinner more often at home!

3) Keep fit and be healthy (and to lose weight). Health is important. Without health, we will not be able to achieve a lot of things. In 2011, I must exercise regularly (go for jogging at least 2 times a week) and eat more healthy food. I love tidbits, MacD and fried food, but I guess in the year 2011, I must cut down on such food. Also, I have gained 2kg in 2010 and I must lose this 2kg in 2011!

4) Pack room and keep it tidy! My room is messy and my wardrobe is eXploding! I must really find time to pack it before Chinese New Year!

May 2011 be a fantastic year for all of us!

It's only 2 days to 2011! It's amazing, isn't it? Looking back at my New Year's Resolutions which I had set for 2010, it seems like I have not been able to accomplish some of the items in the list. Given that I am only left with 2 days for 2010, it's highly impossible that I will be able to accomplish them by 2010. And now, I will spend this 2 days to thing about my New Year's Resolutions for the year 2011.

For the first quarter of 2011, it's definitely going to be a busy quarter for me. My sis and family will be moving in to my house, which means that I have to pack my stuff and move over to my brother's room. At work, I will have to handle the pressure of working in a new environment and it's the peak Chinese New Year's period which means that branch is going to be very busy. On a personal level, it is a crucial period as we have to work intensively hard for our Project. And then, it will be time to reward myself with a holiday trip to a beautiful country.

As you can see, it is definitely an eventful first quarter for the year 2011. Let's just hope that everything will fall in place and it will also be a beautiful first quarter for me!

I went to my sis' place for Christmas Party yesterday! Everybody brought food or drinks and I bought KOI for everybody! hehe. There was so much to eat that I was so full. After dinner, we watched a HK movie (which I can't remember the name) and my favourite movie, This is it! Then, it's time for gift exchange! I got My Melody tissue cum coin pouch! What a lovely present! Hehe. My sis also bought me My Melody laptop pouch! I'm so happy! hehe.

As for today, I went to Amara's place for JC Christmas party! Amara had prepared 3 dishes for us while I order pizza. Amara also served us yummy cake with ice cream! It was a good gathering with Andrea back in Singapore. :)

It is Christmas' Day today! I guess many of you must be sleeping right now after the party last night. As for me, I worked till 7+ and I went to meet Jianhui for dinner at our favourite place, Marina Square. As I grow old (though I hate to admit to this), I prefer to avoid crowded places and I just want to spend my Christmas, celebrating with my family, friends and loved one. =p And of course, it's a good opportunity to buy presents for people you care.

Thanks to Jess, we had a nice Christmas Party last weekend at her place. Soon Soon bought the food while Jess sponsored the drinks. It was a great Teppanyaki dinner at her place. I love her hotplate which she had bought from Australia!

It's supposed to be a festive season, but something bad happened at work on Tuesday. I was kinda upset, but there's nothing I can do... It had taught me not to multi-task (too much) at work and it is important to be focused at work at all times.

Because of this incident, I couldn't really enjoy myself at the chalet on Tuesday and Wednesday. I kept thinking about it... thinking about all the should have and shouldn't have. And I didn't manage to sleep much at all... As a result, I was so tired this whole week...

After checking out from the chalet, I went back to Sun Plaza for our Christmas Party! I also bought a nice cheesecake from Bakerinz to celebrate our dear SM, Francis' birthday. The cheesecake is really nice. hehe. Anyway, the food that we had catered wasn't that nice. I will remember not to order from that caterer again.

I was told that one of the top managers in my company had passed on recently. Though I do not know him personally, I was kinda affected by this news. It makes me realize (once again) how unpredictable life can be at times.

I had just completed half marathon today and I am feeling so SHAG! My left leg hurts. I wonder what's wrong with my left leg? Hmm... For today's route, we ran through USS and it's so nice! The staff cheered us on and there's mascots for us to take photos with! However, after this, it's a boring route. Bleargh. Whatever it is, I am happy that I had completed the race! =p

Another disappointment again...

Oh, after so many times of disappointment, I thought I will not feel the disappointment anymore. Nevertheless, I was feeling very disappointed last night. Why is it that there isn't any good news? Hmm... What's wrong with our application? It's simply so frustrating.

Anyway, after working for 7 consecutive days, it's finally my off day today. Branch is kinda shorthanded today, but I am just too tired to go to work. I need a proper rest. As such, I didn't even want to go out or do anything. I had stayed at home the whole day, watching Korean drama, taking a short nap and spending time with my family. :) It's a good off day for me.

Currently, I am watching the new Korean Drama, Mary Stayed Out all Night. The first episode was't that exciting, but I have continued to watch because of my new idol, Jang Geun Suk! hehe. I love to watch drama at one go, but this drama is still currently on air in Korea, so I have to wait for another week for the next episode. Ah! I can't wait for the next episode! Just hope that this drama will have a happy ending, if not I would feel so upset.

Oh ya, I hope it will stop raining right now so that I can go for a jog later!

I am so tired that I have headache early in the morning, and it does not help that my right eye starts to feel "sick" again today. I always believe in starting the day well with a positive mood, but I was feeling really stressed and tired today. It was definitely quite a bad day for me today until Jianhui came to my branch today.

Thanks for the little surprise. It has certainly brightened up my day. A small act from you has definitely drastically turned my day from a bad one to a great day. =p

Thanks to Ronald, we finally had the chance to stay in MBS! Yeah! Our room is really big and we have 2 TVs in the room! It's cool, isn't it? :) And most importantly, Limin is back in Singapore!! It's a good gathering with Limin flown back from Dubai and Yeesu who flew back from HK.

After having a great dinner at Seafood Paradise, we went back to the hotel room for Texas Poker! I am new to this game, hence I have gotten our Big Boss, Alex to guide me. Thanks to him, I had managed to win some money from the game. =p

I couldn't really sleep for the whole night, so I woke up at around 8+ to watch Discovery Channel while waiting for them to wake up...

We also went to Sky Garden to take a look. The scenery is really beautiful. I would love to dip myself inside the pool, but we don't have the time. So, it's kinda wasted.

All in all, it was a great catch up session with my secondary school friends.

I finally had the chance to go to Grasshopper's Concert! I'm so happy as I have been wanting to go to their concert since I was young! Yes, I am a great fan since young! Hehe.

And they were really good! Though they were already 40 years old, they were dancing and singing as if they are still 20 years old! Amazing! And they are simply AWESOME! I love them! :)

It's definitely a good "reward" for myself for working so hard at work for the past few days!

I hope I can still dance and since like them when I am 45 years old. =p

We had our D&D at Marina Bay Sands on Tuesday and it was really fun! :) For the first time, I actually attempted to dress to the theme - Grand Shanghai. Luckily, Francis drove us there, if not I would feel kinda weird, wearing Cheong Sum to take public transport. I was really excited about this D&D as it would be my first time going to MBS for dinner! And I was hoping that I would be able to win some big prize from the lucky draw!

However, as usual, I did not win any prizes from the lucky draw. It's so disappointing, especially my colleagues won some prizes. It's just me. I just don't have the luck to win anything. :( At around 11+, Francis and I decided to go home since the last dish had been served. Thanks to Francis, I can have a free ride home. :) I was really tired when I got home and the best thing was, I couldn't fall asleep the whole night. In the end, I had only slept for a few hours and I got to go for work. Bleargh.

It was so tiring when I went to work on Wednesday. Why can't they organize the D&D on the eve of public holiday or what?

It had been a hectic week at work. I'm so glad that I can finally have a good rest this weekend. Just hope that next week will be a better week at work for me.

GE Run 2010

I had just completed another 10km run with Celene today! Though I was feeling really tired (with a slight heart pain), I had managed to complete the run. :)

After the run, I went to JH's house to bathe before meeting Vivien and Teckloon for Vivien's birthday's lunch. We went to Sunset Way for Korean Food. It's definitely my first time there and I must say the feel at Sunset Way is good. :) After lunch, we decided to go Bukit Timah' to eat Udder's ice cream to complete the meal. It was such a satisfying lunch with dessert. Hehe. Then Teck Loon sent us to Toa Payoh to take train home.

As for now, I am relaxing at home while listening to nice music. =p

October is coming to an end and it's amazing that we are only left with 2 months for 2010! For the year 2010, time passes by extremely fast that I find that I have not achieved much this year. *horrified* It's true that once you've passed the age of 21 years old, time just passes by quickly that before you know it, you will be approaching the age of retirement. And I am getting closer and closer to Chapter Thirty... Being a typical woman, I am scared of getting old... scared of looking old. But then again, certain things are just not within our control. I guess when the time comes, i will just embrace Chapter Thirty with an open mind. =p

October has been a happy and busy month for me with all the birthday celebrations, wedding dinners and company event. And November is definitely going to be a busy month too... There are so many things to look forward in November!

I am looking forward to November because...
1) There are 2 public holidays in November! Yeah! I simply love public holidays! Ever since I have started working on weekends, public holiday is simply a luxury for me!
2) November is a special month for Jianhui and me. Hehe. =p
3) My dear best friend, Limin is coming back! I miss her lots and I'm so glad she is coming back to Singapore!
4) It's my best friend, Yuxiu's birthday! And we are going to have a great birthday celebration at a nice place. Excited!

On top of all these, I have 2 wedding dinners to attend and there's D&D in November! What a busy and happy November! Hehe.

Today is a special date - 101010! And I had completed Mizuno Wave Run 2010 (10km) in 1hr 10mins! When we were about 200 metres away, Jianhui was telling me that we still have 51 seconds to complete the run in 1hr 10mins, I used all my breath to sprint and we finally did it! Hehe!

After the race, we went to Bishan's MacDonald's with Celene and Alvin for happy breakfast! I love eating MacDonald's breakfast after race! It's like my reward for completing the race. Hehe. And after the happy breakfast, we bought KOI bubbletea before Alvin sent us home. Celene had bought me some products from Crabtree and Evelyn, magnets from Taiwan and mask! :) Thanks babe!

On Friday, I met up with my secondary school's friends for my birthday celebration. Alex, Brendan, Yuxiu and I met up for dinner at Marche 313. Alex is really sweet to buy me a Man Utd jersey! And my dear best friend, Yuxiu not only bought me my favourite pig rabbit, she also bought me perfume and she made a nice card for me! She also paid for the dinner which I feel really bad about it... She's really sweet. I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends around me.

After dinner, we went to Kbox for KTV! Basically, we did not sing much songs as we were more focused in catching up with one another. Haha. I'm happy to see many of them... Weipeng, Tianbao, Yuanzheng, Ronald, Jordon, Weili, Simon and Melissa!

My cake is really special as it is specially decorated by Weipeng and Yuxiu which makes it so exclusive! :) I love the cake!

I left around 2+ as I had to work on Saturday and I am lucky that Weipeng is going back to Sengkang so that I can have a ride back!

It's my special day today! :)

My brother in law and sister came to fetch my mum and me to go for Dim Sum at East Ocean around 12+. However, due to a bad jam on CTE, we only managed to reach the place at 1+. Jianhui came to join us for Dim Sum too! The food was good. And the liu sha bao is really good! Highly recommended! =p

Then we went to eXplorer Kids at Downtown East! Gwyneth had lots of fun there while the adults were quite tired after climbing up and down with her for a few times. Haha.

After playing for 2 hours, we went back home for dinner and my family celebrated my birthday with a birthday cake. =p

All in all, it was a great birthday for me as I feel so loved by everybody! hehe.

Oh yes... I will be approaching 27 years old in half an hour time! =p

On the eve of my birthday, I had fallen sick... In fact, I am so sick that I know I have to see a doctor to get well. And so, in the morning, I went to see a doctor and I was diagnosed with viral flu. After eating my medicine and lunch, I wanted to take a nap to rest my body. However, I had drank so much water that I kept on going to the toilet! AH!

I met up with Jianhui to go to Marina Square to collect our Mizuno Race pack and then we went to watch the movie, Detective Dee. The movie is quite good! :) After the movie, we were hungry and so we went to Jumbo for crabs!! Yummy! Though I wasn't feeling well, I still want to eat my crabs! Hehe.

Before our dinner was served, Jianhui gave me my pressie! And it's a LAPTOP! Yeah! I have been waiting to buy a laptop! hehe. And inside the laptop, there's a special video made by him. *I'm so touched* It's a nice video and I love it a lot!

Today is definitely a happy day for me! Hehe.

After much consideration, we had decided to reject it and so, everything had ended in 5 minutes. It may be our first and only chance, but I guess it is better to reject it rather than to regret taking it up. =p

Other than feeling a bit lost early in the morning, all in all, it was still a great off day spent with Jianhui. We went to Changi Airport, ECP and even had happy lunch at our favourite place, Brewerkz and watched a movie. In fact, we were so tired after travelling to so many places in a day that we fell asleep for a while before our movie started. :)

It was totally an exhausting day.

I guess I am definitely going to sleep early tonight.

The F1 Fever!

After 3 nights of F1, the sound Voomz Voomz just can't stop ringing in my head. Haha. I guess this must be the withdrawal symptoms...

On the second day of F1, we were there early to watch Daughtry's concert. And I'm so in love with them now! Haha. I am a new fan of Daughtry! They are really good and I love their songs! Hehe.

After that, it's time for some action again! It's the final practice, followed by qualifying round. And you know what? Ferrari screwed up again. Massa's gearbox was faulty in the qualifying round! WTH. Fortunately, my favourite Alonso got the polo position! :)

As for the final night, we went to our favourite "rooftop" seats at 7+ to get ready to watch the finals. With a perfect view of the race and a Kangeroo TV in hand, we were all ready to watch the race. It was an exciting match with Red Bull's Vettel chasing Alonso throughout the whole race. It was a pity that Hamilton had a crash during the race, if not, I guess it would just make the race more exciting...

A busy weekend!

My cute sister, Yinqiu had successful given birth to lovely Baby Khloe on 23rd September 2010! I'm so happy for her! Hehe. Jianhui and I went to visit both the mummy and the baby yesterday. =p I am glad that both the mummy and the baby are doing well...

After that, we went to City Hall for F1! We are finally going to watch F1 as official ticket holders! Haha. It was raining when we reached town, butluckily, it stopped when we finished our dinner. The timing is perfect. Haha. We met up with Liewen before the practice session started. His camera is just so pro. With his camera around, I don't even dare to bring out my digital camera. Haha.

Thanks for Jianhui's ear plugs, at least I think my ears won't have to suffer so much. The VOOMz VOOMz is really loud and deafening.

We went for a bite when the 1st practice ended. And around 9.30pm, we went to another area to view the race.

It was really a tiring day for me. I was so tired when I got home...

My teeth is kinda sensitive lately... and after consulting my favourite dentist, I guess it is time to cut down on my favourite drink, COKE. :( No more coke for at least a week! Ah!

Anyway, Project B has not been really going on smoothly lately. It's kinda disappointing and upsetting. But, I guess we have no control on this. Sigh. Just got to see how it goes. I just pray that Project B will be a success soon...

I had been home late every night since Thursday. I'm so tired that I'm so happy that I am home today! hehe!

On my sis' birthday, we left home super early to take ferry to Batam. However, it was super jammed. So jammed that we almost missed our ferry by 1 minute. Luckily, we managed to board the ferry just in time! Hehe. Upon reaching Batam, the staff from the Spa came to fetch us to the Spa! It's SPA TIME! We did a 3hrs Spa and it was just so SHIOK! Haha. After Spa, we went to Golden Prawns 555 for lunch. The food wasn't fantastic at all. The cereal prawns were really disappointing as the prawns were so small! As we got to rush back to Singapore to collect our mooncakes from Ailing, we went to the ferry terminal immediately after lunch to take the ferry back to Singapore. Somehow, the journey back home was much longer.

After collecting our mooncakes from Ailing at OCBC centre, we went to M Hotel for hotpot buffet! I love the drunken prawns, durian puree and crabs! Hehe. Though I wasn't hungry, I ate a lot. Haha. It was definitely a satisfying dinner!

On Friday, I had my branch dinner at Fat Fish Steamboat. Surprisingly, the food was quite good. I guess food would always turn out to be good if you have no expectation. :) I was so full when I reached home that I had to wait for a while (for the food to digest) to sleep.

As you can see, I have been eating a lot for the past few days since Thursday. As a result, I nearly couldn't squeeze into my tight dress to attend Weipeng & Aili's wedding dinner last night! It was so tight that I have to breathe in most of the time when I'm sitting down. It's a sign that I must start to be on diet!

Anyway, it was fun at Weipeng & Aili's wedding. Their 2nd march in was simply amazing! They danced to the song, I gotta feeling. That's really cool. =p I'm so happy for this sweet couple! Wishing them a happy and blissful wedding forever and ever!

As for today, I just wanna rest and relax at home!

My dear friend and his lovely wife held their wedding at Meritus Mandarin. I was kinda late as I couldn't take off that day and hence, I could only rush there after work... And that explains why do I look so off form in the photos... haha. Whatever it is, it was a great wedding dinner with wonderful friends! :) It's a pity that Wanlin and Limin couldn't join us, if not it would be so PERFECT.

I had a busy day at work yesterday. I worked all the way from about 9am to 10+ with only 15 minutes of lunch time? So, logically, I had worked about 12 hours plus! Ah! I was really tired when I got home, but I was so proud of myself that I did not succumb to temptation to take cab. Haha. (Don't I deserve some applause?)

And now, I will be on off for 2 days! Hehe. It will be a relaxing 2 days off as I will be going for facial today and I will be going Batam for spa with my sister tomorrow! Yeah!

Tomorrow is my sis' birthday! Let me wish her a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY in advance in my blog!

I did it!

I had completed my 1st half marathon of the year, with the encouragement and pacing by Jianhui! As usual, I didn't have the time to train, as a result, I was feeling so nervous last night. No matter what, I am glad that I had completed it! And I am definitely looking forward to Mizuno Race (10.10.10), Great Eastern Run and SCSM in December! And yes, I have to start training more intensively instead of being so slack, just because I am lazy. Hehe.

It had been a great (long) weekend for me, and now, I am starting to experience Monday Blues... :(

BBQ

My secondary school friends had BBQ at Weipeng's place last night. Though I was really tired after work, I was happy to be there. It was really great catching up with them. Life is good with friends like them. :) I was kinda guilty as I didn't help out with anything and all I did, was to eat, eat and eat. Ops...

After BBQ, we went up to Weipeng's place to relax and have some drinks. We also celebrated the Virgo boys' birthday with a nice cake from Angie the Choice. =p And we started playing a game introduced by Tianbao. It was amazing that Jack Daniel was almost gone after an hour or so... Haha. In the end, they didn't even get to drink the dessert wine which I had brought to Weipeng's place.

As I had to work on Sunday, I left early with Yuanzheng while the rest stayed on...

All in all, it was a good gathering. Thanks to Yuxiu for organising the BBQ and preparing food for all of us. And of course, thanks to Weipeng for helping us to book the BBQ pit. I'm definitely looking forward to have lots of fun at Weipeng & Aili's wedding dinner!

I am on off and Jianhui is on half day leave today. Hence, we decided to go for some site seeing... Hehe. It was a fulfilling trip...

After that, we went to the happiest place in Singapore - East Coast Park! The weather was good and it was really windy! I had a great time cycling at ECP and it was great, lying at the breakwater. It was just so relaxing. :) It is indeed a happy place for me.

Then we went to Imperial Treasure at Marina Square for dinner before we went back home...

All in all, it was a great off day for me!
