It's so nice to receive a phone call from a dear friend...
Lydia called me just now! It's so nice to hear her voice! It reminds me of those secondary school days when we would talk over the phone for hours about all kinds of nonsense. We would speak so fast that nobody except us actually could make out what are we talking about. haha.
Anyway, we would be going for a chalet next week, a kind of farewell party for Liezheng. I've been MIA-ing from their activities, so this time round, I'm so excited to meet them! We got so much to catch up given that I have not been meeting them since million of years ago. I'm so looking forward to the chalet! Yeah!

I will Survive
Work has been really stressful. That explains why I'm still awake at this time to blog. I'm really tired, but I just feel that there is a need for me to unleash the stress inside me by writing an entry. New environment + New Colleagues + New working style + Millions of Customers + Endless of work to be completed = STRESSThere seems to be million and one things to do at work. Yet, there is only one Angeline. At times, I really wish I can clone myself so that my clones and me can share the workload. There are just so many things to do. Poor time management? Or I'm just too slow? Hmm... But, I must say it's really challenging to work in this branch. I admire the resident CSM truly from the bottom of my heart. I even woke up in the middle of the night in shock or sometimes, I would have nightmare working. In fact, I feel kinda stressful about tomorrow's work. I realize I have been working for 14 hours and I only sleep for 5-6hrs everyday. That probably explains why do I feel so tired at times. And I'm so tired that I just wanna go home to rest. Whatever it is, I shall treat this as a challenge for myself.I will SURVIVE.

It's Saturday!
It's Saturday yesterday but I worked until 5pm! Oh My god. The queue at Tampines was really crazy. Even when the branch closed at 1130, the queue was still quite long. What's up with Tampines people? Why do they like to come to bank on Saturday?I was busy checking the new accounts for the day when I saw Angie and James! I was really excited to see my NE cluster friends! It's so nice seeing them again. They were all having some event there. How coincidental, isn't it? I saw many others, like Brother Greg and Brother Jason. Hehe. How nice to see them again! And Brother Greg was really nice to share cab with me so that I don't have to take public transport back home. Thanks Greg! When I was at home, I was really tired. My initial intention was to nua at home for the whole night, but after my dinner, I was thinking that I would be wasting my Saturday if I were to stay at home. And so, I decided to ask my friends out for movie! After a long, long discussion, we finally decided to watch SUNSHINE at Yishun GV. We were kinda late, but the good thing was the movie just started when we reached the cinema. The movie was not bad, though I felt kinda sad for the characters as they seemed to lose insanity as a result of their passion to complete the mission. After the movie, Weipeng drove us to Changi Village. We merely walked around Changi Village for a few minutes, then we decided to go to the HK Cafe at East Coast. Duh right? The French Toast at HK Cafe was good though I was kinda bitter that the bo lo bao was sold out! Hmm... Haha. It was quite a good place as I could watch soccer as well! But, MAN UTD LOST TO PORTSMOUTH! Damn! It's always a curse that Man Utd will lose to Portsmouth. Really appreciate Weipeng for driving us around and back home. Thanks pal! =p------Some learning lessons from a customer yesterday:1. It's always important to LISTEN to customer's questions properly before answering.2. Don't ever be defensive to customer's comments. 3. It's always your mistake for not providing a good solution for the customer.

Confession
I have a confession to make.I don't really know what's wrong with me. But, I have been very emotional lately. One moment I could be very happy, but the next moment, I would suddenly feel very depressed or lonely. One of my teacher once told me that I'm one who can't stand loneliness. He's right. I'm really one who can't stand being lonely. In fact, I hate being lonely. Sigh. Why am I feeling this way? PMS? Or am I thinking too much? Yet, when I am lonely or sad, I prefer to be hiding at home as I do not want to dampen my friends' mood or wat. What's wrong with me?

IKEA
I finally went to Tampines IKEA today! I have been wanting to go there since it was opened months ago! And today, I finally made it there! The place was really BIG! And I was so excited to eat my favourite chicken wings and Swedish meatballs! It was definitely a satisfying meal! Keke.
Yeah! My faovourite chicken wings! I could eat 6 of them at one go! Now you know the reason why my sore throat will never recover?!
Posing with my Swedish meatballs! I'm so happy that I'm happily smiling that you can't see my eyes! Haha! After our super happy meal, my sister and I started to walk around. This IKEA is almost like the one at AV, just that, it's bigger and it's more crowded. It's quite a nice place to shop for home furnishing as everything there looks so nice. But, I didn't buy anything though I was tempted to buy the Princess-like bed. But, I gave up the idea eventually since it's so much smaller than my present bed. Haha. I was so tired after shopping. Luckily, Alan was very nice to drive me home... Thanks Alan! Home Sweet Home. =p

Survival of the Fittest
So, I managed to survive one day at Tampines Branch. I was feeling kinda out of place at the branch until I saw a familar face in the morning. My favourite Lam was transferred to Tampines too! I'm so happy to see him. At least, there's someone I can talk to. Keke. He was commenting that I'm a changed person. He was commenting when I was still a PFC, I was a crazy girl who would do crazy things and I was like a xiao mei mei to them. But now, I'm like a serious person at work. He prefers the Angie back then. Oh well, not that I would wanna change, but you can't expect a CSM to be doing crazy things like a kid, right? Last time when I was a PFC, I would always find my CSM or BM to handle complaints, but now I got to handle myself. It's totally a change of role. We had lunch together with Christopher at Century Square as well. Chris asked me to remember these 8 golden words, 不求有功,但求无过。This transfer came as a shock to me as I had only been with the NE cluster for 6 months. But I guess working life is about accepting changes, and adapting to changes. Work is never easy. I shall take it as a challenge. Besides, if I can survive working at Tampines Branch, I believe nothing will be too difficult in future. I should learn as much as I could when I'm young to build a good foundation, especially if I am sure this is going to be a long term career path for me. Anyway, I was watching tv the other day and the female lead said something in this show which I find it quite interesting. She was saying that if a capable woman would be left on the shelf, she would rather be a stupid woman who has a capable boyfriend or husband. Haha. A bimbo statement? But seriously, if a capable woman would really be left on the shelf, I would prefer to be a stupid woman as well. Haha. As one of my guy friend has said to me before, a smart and capable woman is not cute at all as she seems to be so much in control that it makes the guy feels inferior. And to a guy, EGO is very important. Guys and their EGO. Hmm... I've been coughing like mad lately that I have not been exericising. It makes me realize how important it is to have good health. And coughing is bad for me as I could feel that I am prone to have asthma attack lately. But, I seriously hope that I can get well soon so that I can finally go jogging or even swimming... IT'S GOOD FRIDAY TODAY! YEAH! ENJOY! PS: My sister bought me a pair of beautiful heels and a piggie wrist cushion. So sweet, right? I love you sister! I'm really very fortunate to have such a wonderful sister!

Bad Luck? Good Luck?
An Irritating, Stupid, Ridiculous customer shouted vulgarity at me today!:(I'm damn mad. But, I can't do anything but maintain my smile though I'm really cursing like hell inside me.I simply don't understand what's up with the customers lately? They seem to complain about every little thing. Sigh.
If only every customer can be a little bit nicer, then we will have a better life I suppose... Other than facing all these irritating customers, it's frustrating to work these few days without access to 2 important systems! ARGH!Anyway, tomorrow would be my first day reporting to a new (busy) branch. Wish me all the best ya? I need all the luck!

Lessons Learnt from the Trekking Trip
1. Field Chair is a must for such trip as it's very cool to sit on the field chair instead of sitting on the sand or Carrefour plastic bag.2. Try to finish as much food as possible if not you got to carry the unfinished food back home. 3. Water bag is a must as it's so convenient to drink from the tube and it's not so bulky.4. It's important to pitch a proper tent as you never know when the weather will change.5. Ziplock bags are a must as well as you got to water proof all your things so that even if rains, you have nothing to worry.6. Wearing slippers to trek is still better than wearing sandals as leeches may hide in your sandals!7. It's important to bring sleeping bag no matter how bulky it is. 8. One must always keep your stomach full so that you will not feel hungry during trekking. I didn't eat breakfast before trekking, then I was starving like mad. 9. Mosquito Coil is also a must to chase away all the mosquitoes. Hanging it by your side is good.10. Leeches are more irritating that mosquitoes.

Great Trekking Trip
After being uncontactable for more than 24hrs, I'm back from my trekking trip. It was a great and fun trip, and definitely a very good experience. I only slept for 6hrs since Friday night, and I was really tired after my warm and comfortable bath (with heater), but I enjoyed the trip so much that I can't wait but to write about the trip on my blog.
It was a trip with blood and sweat. We walked quite a distance with our super heavy bag and hollanded quite a distance. We climbed up and down the slope. We even had to cross the river bare footed or by stepping the stones. We even walked through the overgrown. As we walked past the jungle, we could feel small little cuts on my legs or arms. And we were prone to the attack of the irritating Leeches! Poor Liewen is damn poor thing as he was attacked by the leeches several times! But we really had fun cooking for our meals! We cooked all kinds of great food using our wonderful gas stoves. We ate Curry Flavoured Maggie Mee with mei cai ya, Spaghetti with Luncheon Meat, Mashed Potatos, Hotdogs, Pringles, Almond Jelly with Peach and Rambutan Cocktail, Bread with Mayonise or Butter, drank coffee, campbell's soup, yuan yang with really weird taste and teh. We basically were eating most of the time. We even bathed in the waterfall WHICH WAS FREEZING COLD. It took us a lot of courage to soak our whole body into the freezing cold water! And the most memorable part of the trip would be that I even slept in the flooding tent as it was raining super heavily last night.
Enjoy the pictures...
All of us met up at Yishun MRT station at 11pm. There were Jianhui, Teck Loon, Liewen, Shuling, Freddy, Weipeng and me. 7 individuals with one focus - Trekking to Perting FallMr Commando Officer, Liewen with his 55+10 SuperHeavy+SuperPowerful+SuperBig bag. I can't even lift his bag up!
We boarded the luzury coach at 11+ and we set off to Pahang! Weipeng and I was sitting on the last row with 4 seats! I occupied 3 seats. Very shuang! I could even lie down and cuddle to sleep!
Feeling so cosy with Weipeng's sleeping bagAt around 6am, we reached our starting point. All of us started to prepare for the trekking by spraying ourselves with insect repellent, lighting up the mosquitoes coil and drinking water. And I had to wear contact lens in darkness. It was really challenging, trust me.
Posing before we set off for our Perting Fall! The Unfinished House which we took sometime to find it. Yeah! We finally managed to find our Unfinished House!
Afterwhich, we had to cross the river to get to the other side of the trail.
River crossing with our barang barang...Afterwhich, we had to walk through the OVERGROWN jungle. It was a tough track as we had to look out for leeches and those sharp grasses. We even had to climb over some of the fallen trees of crawl underneath them.
And we took at least 1.5-2 hrs to finish this part of the trek to reach the final point!
Look at the words on the tree - Perting plus an arrow down!It was a steep slope and it was very dangerous to descend to the waterfall given that it was quite slippery as well...
Just when we were about to go down to the waterfall, we discovered that there was a BIG & FAT leech on Liewen's leg!
It's damn bloody and disgusting! Irritating Leech. From the trip, we've learnt that we can use Army's insect repellent or qing cao you to kill the leeches! As for prevention, I guess by spraying insect repellent on your body helps. Even now, I have phobia of Leeches!
Then, we started to climb down the slope one by one.Posing with Liewen at the bottom of the slopeWeipeng & Jianhui, looking so MAN
Me with Shuling and Freddy!Peng and Me!The Perting Fall! Finally, we can do some cooking!Weipeng opening the cansOur Super Effective and Efficient Gas StoveWeipeng and me, frying the Luncheon Meat. It tastes great especially with bread!Cooking the spaghetti
Look at the satisfying expression on Teck Loon's face! The Spaghetti. Maybe the spaghetti looks normal to you, but trust me, the feeling of eating Spaghetti beside the waterfall is super SHUANG!
Super Cold Almond+Rambutan+Peach dessert! Yummy!Unfortunately, it started raining heavily at night. Due to our laziness, our tent was flooded with water. And I was really worried that our tents would drown given that the rain just kept on getting bigger and bigger and the water seemed to get nearer and nearer to our tent. I was so panaroid that I would check the tide every 15 minutes that I didn't sleep at all. Luckily, it stopped raining at 12am and we started cooking Campbell's Soup and Coffee. It was a great luxury to drink HOT, CHEESY and NICE Campbell's Soup in such cold weather by the waterfall!
And I finally got to sleep after the soup... I was so comfortable sleeping, but Teck Loon woke us up at 7am to get ready to go back home! We had a super filling breakfast in the morning then we started packing our bag to leave.I can't bear to leave the place! It was so much easier to go back to the starting point as we were going down slope all the way. But, it was quite heavy to carry the trash bag down as there was REALLY a lot of rubbish given that we ate so much for each and every meal! And we finally boarded the bus to go back to Singapore!
One moment I was happily taking photos with Weipeng in the bus and the next moment, I was...
in my dreamland.
It was a great getaway and now I'm back to the civilization world. Thanks all of them for making the trip so memorable and wonderful. This trip would not have been successful if not for each and everyone's contribution as a team. Thanks guys. My only regret for this trip is I should have brought my sleeping bag there. It's freaking cold sleeping in the tent outside and sleeping with poncho around my legs was not very comfortable.
And I'm going back to work tomorrow.
My goodness.
