Development Growth @ 9 months and 3 weeks (41 weeks)

Yeah! After she has finally recovered from flu and cough with no medication! =p That's my strong girl. Hehe. And so, she started going back to school again on Monday.

This week, she can stand up straight without support for longer period of time (maybe 10 seconds?) and she is so good at climbing that she can climb over pillows confidently. We will always use pillows to block the entrance to her bed/playing mat, but now it doesn't work as she can easily come out by climbing over the pillows. I think it's time to "seal" her bed/playing mat if not we have no time to do our own things at all.

She loves to stand up by herself now and will place her hands on the wall. She seems so proud of herself that she will smile at you whenever she does that. And now she will cry for her pacifier. I guess it's going to be so hard to make her quit pacifier. We shall see how it goes.

In general, she always eats more solid food these days. She can eat quite a lot of porridge, papaya, carrot and sweet potatoes. Her favourite got to be sweet potato. Haha.

Life as a working mum

Work has been really hectic for the past few months.

It's like I can work non-stop from the moment I stepped into the office (without lunch at times somemore) till 8pm and I still cannot finish my work. Though it's often said that one can never finish his or her work, but there are things that I need to complete by a certain deadline. So far, I am way behind schedule. Sigh. It seems like I have to go back to office on Saturday or Public Holiday so that I can complete my work in peace. But then, time is precious to do that. Given that I had committed almost 12 hours at work on 5 working days, I am still not prepared to work on weekend and Public Holiday.

I really wish I can knock off on time to fetch Lexuan home from school everyday. Now, I am thankful to have Jianhui as the super daddy who has been rushing to pick her up everyday after work. At the same time, we are very blessed to have my parents in law for helping to take care of Lexuan on Tuesday and Friday. This allows us to have some free time or rest time. On days that I got to work late, we would stay over at my in laws' place. I kinda look forward to stay over at their place as it's like a mini-staycation. Haha.

It's really tiring as a working mum, juggling work and mom's duties. Luckily, I have a really supportive husband. I must say he's a super hands on daddy (so hands on that I think my girl might stick to him more if I don't spend time with her) who has helping me to lessen my load whenever possible. I don't say it often, but Jianhui, I wanna tell you that I really appreciate all that you have done for the family. =p
