What? Another 3 months have passed - 55 months to 57 months old (11 Jun to 11 August 2022)

Can’t believe that it’s August now. Past 3 months passed by so quickly once again. 

Lexuan now can converse much better in Chinese. She can count 1 to 100 in Chinese. She also seems to be able to understand things better. At times she will tell me “等一下你的老板骂你”. I guess she learnt this from us as we will always tell her to hurry up if not I will be late for work and my boss will scold me. Nowadays, she will say, 妈咪迟一点回家。She is so used to me being home late that she will says I can come home at 9pm but 爸爸 cannot. I guess she is used to her daddy being home early. Haha. 

She enjoys going playground with her friends after school. There was once, she forced me to bring to her school’s playground on a Sunday evening, hoping to find her friends. Of course, her friends won’t be there. 

She told me she wants to be an artist and teacher. I guess all kids want to be teacher when they are young. 

We went Greece in June and this is a trip I can see that she really enjoyed herself and is able to understand what’s going on. She loves chatting to strangers. When we got to fly back to Singapore, she told me she misses the auntie, the swing and our white car. Even now, she will ask me can go we go back Greece?

She still loves bath bombs and will get really excited whenever she sees me with bath bombs. Oh ya, I brought her to Kiztopia and she had so much fun. It’s her first indoor playground and she really enjoyed herself. I bought her a rainbow unicorn balloon which makes her even more happy. 

It’s also Father’s Day. She had a cheer for her daddy, 爸爸，你是最棒的! So sweet right? She also likes to cheer “K1 K1 你最棒”! 

This year’s June holidays, the school asked us to make an animal using recycled materials. To make things simple, we decided to make animals using plates. She enjoyed making the animals that we made a few animals - lion, leopard, giraffe, dog, bear. 

She is also clearer about the concept for months. She can say and sing January to December. She loves to sing and seems like her school teacher taught them a few Chinese songs. 

My favourite got to be this: 

小螃蟹真娇傲，横着身子到处跑

吓到鱼撞到虾

真的一点也不懂礼貌 

We also brought her to watch her 2nd movie! It’s the Minions movie. It’s a bit too chime for her so she cannot really sit down. She kept on walking up and down the stairs in the cinema. 

Oh ya, we were watching one of the summiko Gurashi video. She can tell me that she doesn’t know why she feels sad and she started tearing. I guess she can feel the sadness from the characters and feel emotional too! 

Everything has been good until Lexuan fell real sick on Jianhui’s birthday. She had fever and was complaining muscles ache. In the end, she was sick for the whole week. And I fell sick on Tuesday too. So, both of us were sick and stayed at home together. We slept really early every night at 8-9pm. Though she is sick, she helped me to get ice to nurse my burning hot forehead. 

We finally kinda recovered on 1 August 2022 and it feels good to be better. After skipping school for a week, it’s a struggle to bring (drag) her to school. She was crying non stop and refused to go to school. After much struggles, then we finally dragged her out of the house to go school.

For this year’s National Day, she is aware of what’s happening and will know that it’s Singapore’s birthday. She started to sing the National day’s songs and was really excited to get a small Singapore flag from a stranger!
