Krabi-ed

I am back from my Krabi trip with my secondary school friends! It was totally a fantastic trip with lots of fun and laughter. Thanks to Yuxiu, Jordan, Chet Siang, Yixia, Kit, Weipeng and Aili for making it such a wonderful trip to relax and de-stress.

We were really excited to go on this trip as this is a trip to commemorate our 16 years of friendship. It's a pity many couldn't join us due to work commitment. If not, it would be quite a happening trip. Nevertheless, 8 of us had lots of fun together. Eat. Drink. Play.

When we touched down Krabi, we took an exclusive van to our Hotel - Mercure Krabi Deevana. It's a beautiful hotel. In fact, some rooms have private pool. Though our room does not come with a private pool, I'm happy with it. It's spacious and new! =p

After resting for a while, we went out for dinner. We ordered a lot of food and we were very satisfied with the food. And you know what? It only costs THB1660! It's simply value for money! Then we shopped around the place before we went for massage! Massage was really good!

As for 2nd day, we were going for Island Hopping! We boarded the speedboat and went to many islands for swimming. The water is really crystal clear. Finally, we went snorkeling and it's nice to swim with the fishes. I really hope to learn diving soon so that I can get to see more marine animals in the sea!

After snorkeling, it's lunch time. To be frank, lunch is kinda sad. Nothing is nice, but I managed to eat a bit to fill my stomach. Then, we can shop around the Maya beach before going for one final island. We went for the final swim where I got to see many sea urchins and I saw puffer fish too! =p

We were so tired when we went back to hotel. We had a good shower before we went out for dinner. Though it's quite a short distance from our hotel to the shops, we would always take the tut-tuk as it only costs 20 baht per person. Haha. As what Kit had said, this is a luxurious tour. =p As for dinner, it wasn't as good as the first night and it's so expensive! We spent a total of 4600+THB for dinner. It is definitely much more expensive man! We walked around before we went for our massage again! Maybe I had too much massage or what, I experience pain at certain areas during the massage. :(

For Sat, Yixia, Yuxiu and I went for Elephant Trekking while the guys and Aili went diving. When we reached the jungle, we could ride on the elephant immediately. Three of us sat on the elephant and we feel kinda sad for the elephant to carry 3 of us. Ops. We noticed that our elephant is the only one with his neck chained to his feet. I guess he is probably the most dangerous elephant of all. It was an hour ride on the elephant before we went for a short baby elephant show. The baby elephant is simply so cute! =p

After that, we went to buy lunch! We bought a lot of road side food like Tom Yam soup, Pineapple Fried Rice, Fried Banana, fish and fruits back for lunch! Lunch was simply good and cheap! =p

For the rest of the afternoon, we relaxed at the hotel while waiting for them to come back to go to Krabi town together. When they are finally back, we took a "happening" tuk-tuk to Krabi town. Upon our request, the driver played happening songs for us.

Similarly, at Krabi Weekend night market, each of us bought some food and we shared the food together! It's so nice to eat such cheap and good food! The Thai iced tea was really good! Actually, there's nothing much to buy at the night market. After this, we went for massage again! This time round, the massage parlour cannot accommodate all of us. So, only Yuxiu, Yixia and I had massage. Then, it's time to go back hotel to pack and Zzzz....

On Sunday, it's time for Jordan, Kit, Yuxiu and I to go back Singapore. We met up with the rest for breakfast at a shop near our hotel. Surprisingly, the breakfast was quite good and satisfying. At least, I don't feel hungry until I touched down at Singapore.

There wasn't any jam or queue at the counter. As a result, we were really early. We had nothing to do, so we paid for Wifi so that we can still surf net. Then it's time to board the plane. Surprisingly, we touched down Singapore 20 minutes earlier than the expected time of arrival. I'm happy to be home. And I'm so happy that Jianhui, my sis and Alan came to pick me up! I feel so loved!

All in all, it was a great trip with my secondary school friends. I had enjoyed myself a lot though I miss home, my family and Jianhui. Happy 16 years of friendship to all my AMKSS friends. Let's keeps our friendship going until we grow old...

It's my most depressing week in 2012

It is definitely my most depressing week in 2012. I feel disappointed, depressed and "heartbroken". I guess I will never forget how hurt I felt on Monday. If not for my supportive family, boyfriend and friends, I would feel much worse. Special thanks to Jianhui for buying me "happy dinner" to make me feel better. =p

On a brighter note, I would be going Krabi with my dearest secondary school friends today. This trip came at a right time for me to relax and do some reflections.

Busy March

I finally went to watch Disney on Ice with my sis, Alan and Gwyneth! It's amazing. I wish I could skate like them! Haha. My sis bought the Minnie Mouse's mug for Gwyneth. All in all, it was a great performance. After that, we went to Velocity to collect 2XU race pack. And yes, this reminds me that I got to train more intensively for this race. I would not want to suffer for the race.

As for Sunday, it's Avivia Ironman 70.3 2012. My dad was really nice to drive me to ECP early in the morning. After meeting Jianhui at the transition area, he went to the starting point while I waited for the race to start. I had always enjoyed watching Ironman race as I feel that all the participants are "serious" participants and I can feel their passion for the race. That makes Ironman race a special race. Their determination and perseverance is truly amazing.

When Jianhui came out from the water, I was relieved as I always feel that swimming in the open sea is the most dangerous leg of all. He rushed to the bike transition area while I rushed to the starting point of the bike race course to cheer him on. Jianhui and Che Che are looking great for the cycling! I immediately rushed to the bike race course to have a good view of the cycling. It's an enjoyment to look at every cyclist cycling past me. Looking at their bikes, facial expressions, cycling style helps to keep me entertained while waiting for Jianhui. He cycled past me 2 times then I went to the place where they dismount theirs bike. Unfortunately, he did not see me.

I went to the running race course to support Jianhui and to cheer other runners. Everything was great until it started raining heavily. The supporters all rushed to the nearest tentage. As Jianhui is finishing the race, I was so excited so I stood at the outer side of the tentage to have a good view. Soon, I saw him and I ran over to the finishing line to cheer him on. Then, he came running in to the finishing line. I'm so happy and proud of him. :)

He did it again! Yeah!

My first trip to Bukit Timah Hill

Okay. I know I am slow. Yet I have to admit that it was my first trip to Bukit Timah Hill this morning. It was a great experience for me to climb up the steep slope, the uneven stairs and even going down the stairs was not an easy one.

After this "trekking" experience, I came to realize that I need to invest in a trekking stick and probably a good pair of trekking shoes for my upcoming Mount KK trip in June. And in fact, I have only 3 months to train for the trip. If I do not want to suffer that much, I probably got to start my intensive training now. After all, climbing up mountain or even hill is not my forte. Special thanks to Yeo for being our guide this morning. =p

Then we went to a nearby coffeeshop to eat prata! I have been craving for prata so it's a good idea to eat prata! (But, it's so fattening! I got to watch my diet.)

Alan sent Yeo home and so we went to his house to take a look at his Chin, Xiao Bai. His Chin looks so cute and well-maintained. In comparison, I guess my chins seem to be "tortured" by us. '''>_<

Lastly, we went to the pet shop in Toa Payoh before making our way home.

I'm feeling so sleepy after bathing now... Yawn Yawn... ZzzzZZzz...

5th March 2012

As 5th March is a special date for us, Jianhui and I had decided to celebrate Valentine's Day on this special date which means a lot to us. We are going to Equinox for lunch for the first time! I met Jianhui at the City Hall MRT station and he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of Tulips! I love it a lot! It's so sweet and beautiful! I simply love flowers!

We were kinda early, but the staff allowed us to sit at the lounge. It's a nice place with good view of the city! As it is a Monday, we can get the window seat. =p

It looks kinda hazy as it had just rained in the morning...

We are having semi-buffet lunch which means that we get to choose a main course while you can eat all you want for the appetizers and desserts. There are oysters, prawns, lobsters, sushi, soup, etc. In fact, we were feeling quite full before they served us the main course. We had ordered steak and pasta for main course. The steak was okay but I love the potatoes that come with it. As for the pasta, it is quite normal. After the main course, I was very fully, but I find it wasted not to try the desserts. So, I managed to down some desserts, fruits and the mango sorbet. By 2.30pm, I was totally so full that I can hardly walk. haha.

After such a sumptuous lunch, we went to Plaza Singapura to shop for wedding band! We had decided to buy our wedding band from Soo Kee on this special day. =p They also gave us a ring pillow and complimentary love songs CD. I'm so looking forward to collect our wedding band when it is ready for collection!

Then, we went to our beloved house! It feels good to go to our house. =p We relaxed a while before we went to Bukit Timah for dinner. In fact, I was still feeling full from lunch, so I didn't eat much.

Now that we had settled most of the stuff for wedding, it's time to focus on renovation now!

Singapore Biathlon + OCBC Cycle = Triathlon for him

After a busy week at work, both Jianhui and I are looking forward to a great weekend with Singapore Biathlon and OCBC Cycle. True enough, it is a good weekend though I feel kinda tired after 24km of cycling this morning.

On Saturday, my dad drove me to ECP early in the morning. The guys were ready to start the race and Lie Wen is really nice to come down to help them to take photos! David, Soon Soon and Jianhui started the race together. Subsequently, Jianyun came and I helped him to carry his bag. I'm the official bag depositer for the day! haha. During the race, I saw Justin, Kit and Wenjie in action.

Then, Jianhui is back, followed by Soon Soon and David! David is suffering from jet lag so he did not perform to his best. As for Soon Soon and Jianhui, they exclaimed that they must do more training to prepare for Singapore Biathlon on future!

As for this morning, I was excited to participate in OCBC Cycle 2012! Thanks to Angelyn and Ailing for arranging the bikes, if not we would not have bikes to cycle! To my surprise, there was a lot of people! There were 12 of us from BBCSC who participated in this race together.

It's fun cycling around the town. Though I would appreciate more if they could just give us one up slope instead of 3 up slope this year! If not for the up slope, the ride is okay and I definitely would not feel so tired! haha. Along the way, we took many photos! Ailing is really fit. She is always catching up with us.

After returning the bikes, Jianhui and I went to our usual favourite spot to have our breakfast before going back home for rest.

All in all, this weekend is definitely a sporting (aka shag) weekend for Jianhui. =p Nevertheless, both of us enjoy going for races! Looking forward to more races in 2012!
