Sundown Marathon 2010 - My first 10km of the year

I had a great run with my sis at Sundown Marathon 2010! Hehe. Though the route was kinda sucky, it was fun to run... And most importantly, it was great to run with my sis and it feels good to have a supporter. Haha.

Photobucket

Posing with the 10km route...

Photobucket

My greatest supporter! :) He is also my photographer for the day!

Photobucket

And my favourite photo got to be this...

Photobucket

I look so happy! Haha.

I feel so good after a good run! Yeah!

I love weekend when I don't have to work on weekend!

Service Night 2010

We had our Service Night 2010 at Siloso Beach last night. It was fun, but the weather was simply too hot. All of us were perspiring non-stop the whole night... In fact, I was feeling so hot that I didn't want to move around... Haha. As a result, I only managed to take a few photos with my branch...

Photobucket

Me and Jenny Leong

Photobucket

Mama, Mimi and Jason who is one of the performers for Orchard Cluster!

Photobucket

All the performances were good, but it was a pity that Orchard Cluster did not win the Best Cluster. Hope that we will have better luck next year. My big boss was really talented and impressive. He played guitar, performed some magic and even danced. I was simply so impressed... He's such a talent. Impressive.

I had fun as usual, but I really hope that the next organizing committee will not hold such event at Sentosa or any outdoor place next year. We had such a hard time, getting out of Sentosa. Thanks to Kelvin for the ride, if not, we would have to wait for millions of years to get out of Sentosa. haha.

Thanks to my favourite flu medicine, I think I am ok now!

I had been really sick from Thursday till Sunday... And now, I'm so glad that I have almost fully recovered! I just went for a slow jog and I feel kinda okay, except that I do feel a bit breathless with the phlegm in my throat... Generally, I feel good. :) It's really important to be healthy. Being healthy makes one feel happy too! :)

Today is like a Saturday to me as I am off today and tomorrow. I shall enjoy my "weekend" before working for another 6 days... And after enduring the 6 days, it will be time for me to have a good break. I can't wait for my long weekend to come!

I shall be a good girl and rest at home today!

The Job of A Mother

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:

For cutting the grass; $5
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the store for you: $0.50
Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $0.25
Taking out the garbage: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
Total owed: $14.75

Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and she kept quiet for a while. She then picked up a pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:

For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me:
No Charge
For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you:
No Charge
For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years:
No Charge
For all the nights that were filled with dread, and the worries I knew were ahead:
No Charge
For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose:
No Charge
Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is:
No Charge

When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, " Mom, I sure do love you." And then he took the pen and in great letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".

M Hotel

I had a great buffet dinner at M Hotel last night. I love the drunken prawns. The prawns are so fresh and nice! On top of it, there are chili crabs too! As for the hotpot, we chose herbal chicken and laksa as the soup base. The laksa soup base is nice! :) As for the dessert, I love the durian puree (which is as good as merchant court's) and lime sherbet ice-cream! It was indeed a good dinner. Thanks to my sis, the dinner only cost $94 (instead of $188) for 4 pax! It's super worth it, isn't it?

Today feels like a Sunday to me and I am starting to experience "Thursday Blues". I believe many of you are looking forward to the weekend, but for me, I got to work this weekend (and the next weekend as well), so I don't really look forward to the weekend. I just hope everything will go on smoothly at branch for the next 2 weeks... Looking forward to my precious long weekend at the end of this month... =p

What kind of sleeper are you?

Ever wondered what your sleeping position says about the kind of person you are? A survey of 1,000 British reveals that the six most common sleeping patterns are indicative of personality types.

Photobucket

Foetus position: A whopping 41% of participants sleep in this curled-up manner. Women are twice as likely to rest like this and it is listed as the most common position. These sleepers are said to have a tough exterior but are still sensitive and may appear to be shy but warm up quickly.

Log position – If you sleep on your side with both arms down, you are a social, easy-going person who is trusting, sometimes to the point of being gullible. The study showed 15% of people sleep like a log.

Yearner position - A close third is the side-lying position with both arms out in front of the body, with 13% of partipants sleeping like this. Yearners are noted to be open-minded and still cynical, suspicious, and stubborn about sticking to decisions once they are made.

Soldier position - These sleepers lie on their backs with arms down and kept close to the body. This 8% study is said to be reserved, quiet, without fuss, and hold themselves and others to a high standard. Soldier sleepers have a higher likelihood for snoring due to the flat-back position, which may not cause them to wake up often but may result in a less restful night’s sleep.

Freefall position - Those people who lie on their bellies with arms under or wrapped around a pillow with head turned to the side, make up 7% of the population studied. Freefallers are brash, outgoing, and are very uncomfortable with criticism.

Starfish position - Sleepers who lie on their backs with arms up near their head or the pillow account for 5% of participants. These people are good listeners, helpful, and are uncomfortable being the center of attention. People who sleep in starfish position are more likely to snore and to suffer from a poor night’s sleep more often.

Happy Day

Today is a relaxing day for me... I went to Compass Point for a walk with my mum then went back home for a quick lunch. Then, I went for JP Morgan Run at Esplanade Bridge. I was kinda early so I had a nice walk in town. =p

All in all, it was a good run. I was so happy to see JH at the finishing line after my race.

Photobucket

That's me, looking so shag after the run... Haha.

We had a relaxing walk to Marina Square. JH bought me my favourite coke and it was damn shiok to drink coke after a run. When I had finished my coke, we went to Xin Wang HK Cafe for a simple dinner.

It was a nice evening with JH.

P.S: Dear, thanks for the lovely chocolates and card. =p

Love is beautiful...

The quote says... "Someday someone will walk into your life and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else"

I believe you are that "someone".

I love you, dear. =p

My surrprise for the day!

JH messaged me at 6.50pm to meet me at my branch. To my surprise, he had bought Lai Lai's bubble tea from JP and he brought it all the way to my branch! :)

I'm so touched. =p

Thanks for the surprise!

I love Public Holiday

After watching Ironman II and Ip Man II, I got to say Ip Man II is nicer! Haha. I love the show so much! All of you should watch Ip Man II!

On Saturday, JH and I decided to go the The Helix and Marina Bay Sands. To our surprise, the place very crowded and noisy. The whole world seemed to be there. The Helix is nice, but too crowded. As for Marina Bay Sands, the place is nice and there are a lot of branded shops there. I guess I can only go there for shopping if I win the grand prize for TOTO. Haha.

It was a great weekend before going back to work on Sunday. :)
