Happy 猴 Year! 猴 happy!

It's my favourite time of the year! Chinese New Year! It's Monkey Year! Wishing all a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year!

With Chinese New Year on a Sunday, this would mean that I don't have to rush for reunion lunch after work! Then, my dad drove us to Waterway Point. It's the latest shopping mall in Punggol and I would think it's not too bad! Better than Compasspoint for sure! Haha. It's CNY eve, so there weren't many people there though Toast Box was crowded and everything costs more expensive!

Then we went to H2O for reunion lunch. Thanks to my mum for preparing all the food! =p

And this year, my dad got the lucky coin! Yeah!

We chatted at the dining table while continuing to eat more snacks. That's why we all grow fat after CNY. Too much food and snacks!

After that, Jianhui and I slowly made our way to Teck Whye for reunion dinner with my in laws. As usual, my mother in law had prepared a lot of food - Duck, chicken, dish and crabs! My favourite got to be the vegetables with bao bei and mushrooms! Healthy and nice!

As for Chinese New Year's first day, Jianhui and I had our short CNY run before a quick breakfast at Lot 1's McD's. Surprisingly, it wasn't that crowded in McD's. I guess most people are probably still sleeping or bai nian?

Then, we took our DTL, followed by NEL to my brother's place again! Most of my relatives were already there. As per our tradition, we had vegetarian lunch. =p

After lunch, we shared cab with sis they all to the west! They were heading to Senja (my place) while we were going to Teck Whye.

We were quite full so we had snacks only. We had yummy nian gao, cuttlefish, bak kwa and desserts. Really so full. So full until I feel sleepy! Haha.

Then we made our way to town for move - From Vegas to Macau III. As usual, it was a funny movie, just nice for Chinese New Year mood. =p

Good friends

They always say your friends will become your lifelong friends if you all stay in contact after 7 years. I am glad that I have my secondary school friends who have been my friends for 20 years!

Wanlin is back in Singapore and of course we must catch up! In recent years, we have been meeting at Chomp Chomp for local food. As you grow old, you realize you can meet anywhere as long as you can catch up with friends.
