5 weeks back to work

5 weeks back at work and I still feel very sian. Haha. But at least, I am getting my momentum back. I still enjoy talking to my customers. It's just that I look forward to knock off (on time or early) everyday so that I can spend more time with Lexuan. Even if I were to knock off on time, I can only spend an hour or so with her. That's how precious time is.

Anyway, Lexuan is 20 months this week! She's about 6.3kg now. She enjoys drinking milk while lying on bed nowadays. So shiok right? She likes to talk non-stop too and she loves bathing! =p It's such a joy to see her being so happy everyday. Her neck is definitely stronger as she can do tummy time much longer now. And yes, she salivates a lot! To the extent that her clothes will be wet. Seriously, when will they stop salivating? Haha.

She is growing up too fast... and I hope to capture every bit of it. =p

Movie Date - Pacific Rim

Jianhui and I took half day leave on 21 March 2018 for a date! Hehe.

We had a good lunch at Santouka before we went to Cathay for movie - Pacific Rim. Seriously, I can't remember when was my last movie! Probably October last year?

Pacific Rim was not too bad, a lot of action but weak storyline. Nevertheless, it was a good movie date with popcorn and fanta grape! Hehe. After movie, we took 190 double deck and enjoyed the journey back home, sitting on upper deck.

Looking forward to our next movie date!

Life as a working mother

Yeah! I have survived 3 weeks of going back to work! I feel so tired everyday. So tired that I have yet to go for any weekday morning run as waking up at 5.30am is tiring enough. Sometimes, we even have to wake up at 3am or 4am when she starts to cry for milk. And I feel that time is not enough! Even when I have been knocking off punctually (I don't know how long this will last), I still feel that there are so much things to do with so little time. And we don't get to spend much time with Lexuan as she will be getting ready to sleep from 8pm onwards. This is the life of working parents I guess. So we tried to spend more time with her by picking up her as early as possible.

Anyway, she has been going to my in laws' place on Tuesday and Friday. At least, she can have a good sleep at ah gong/ah ma's house. She seems to sleep a lot there. It's either she's shag out from school or it's just so shiok to sleep on daddy's old bed. Haha. I feel so much better as she doesn't need to go to school everyday. =p And the best thing is, we don't have to rush to pick her up too. After so many months, Jianhui and I finally had a dinner date at Central's Aston on Friday! Thanks to my in laws for helping to take care of Lexuan. I'm so grateful and really appreciate their help.

At 18 weeks old, she keeps on sucking her hands and fingers! Ah! And she keeps on salivating. Signs of teething? I have checked her mouth and she doesn't seem to have any teeth yet. Also, ever since she has mastered the art of rolling over, she does it very often. There was once she woke up at 4am and she kept on rolling and rolling. Haha.

We brought her to T4 yesterday! She must be thinking that she's going for a holiday as she's so happy. Unfortunately, we are not flying yet. Hope to go for a short holidays soon though. =p We had muddy mud pie at Coffee Club Express. Nostalgic to eat muddy mud pie as I think the last time I ate this was like at Raffles City Coffee Club Express with Edwin? Oh ya, the nursing rooms at T4 are so nice! So, I know where I can pump my milk if I go T4. And the toilet flush is so cute too with blue and red lights. Nice! A lot of things are automated at T4 like self-in counter and even the immigration counter. Jianhui feels that T4 looks kinda like budget airport though. After that, we took bus 36 to town and it was a bad decision as we stood for damn long because of the jam. We were so hungry when we reached Paulaner.

Weekend passes by too quickly. Soon, it's back to work again.

The good thing is, we will be taking half day leave so it's going to be 4.5 working week!

Lexuan Rolled Over for the First Time - 11 March 2018

Lexuan is 4 months old today and she rolled over for the first time on her bed! Yeah!

I left her on her baby cot while I went out to do housework. When I came back to the room, I was surprised she was on her tummy! Our baby girl rolled over for the first time by herself! So proud of her! She seems happy too!

She started to drool a lot these few days. And so I decided to follow the myth which Elaine told me before - To rub chives on baby's gum to symbolize a smooth and painless teething journey. I hope this will help Lexuan in a way so she will be less grumpy.

We also bought Marie biscuits and string 12 of them together with a red thread. We used each biscuit to touch Lexuan's lips so that this will help to minimize drooling. After that, the parents are supposed to eat the 12 biscuits. Seriously, we should have bought mini Marie biscuits. Nevertheless, we managed to finish the 12 BIG biscuits.

I am not sure does this help Lexuan, but I guess no harm trying and since it's quite fun for mummy too! Haha.

Happy 4 months old Lexuan! =p

First day of School for Lexuan - 1 March 2018

We registered Lexuan for Infant Care on 1 March 2018 and so, it's like her first day of school. When the teacher carried Lexuan to her cot, I couldn't bear to leave her there. I kept on checking out on her before I leave the centre. At least when I left the centre, she didn't cry.

When I left the centre, I started to cry. I feel really bad to leave her there. She's only less than 16 weeks old and we have to leave her at infant care. What if they ignore her when she cries? What if she doesn't like it there? What if she doesn't drink her milk? What if she cannot sleep well at the centre? The more I think about it, I feel so sad that I cannot stop crying.

Sigh.

The good thing is, the kids there seem very happy. So, I just hope that the teachers are really nice and Lexuan enjoys her time there.
