Happy 8 years 4 months to 7 months birthday (11/3 to 11/5)

How did 3 months pass just like that? And we are already in the month of May 2026? And soon we will be approaching June holidays which I am definitely looking forward to! The 6am routine is killing me everyday! Thankful for Jianhui to spend more time on her studies this year and fetching her from school after her remedial. 

A little update about Lexuan. Now she is more conscious about money. She says she wants to save money to invest and buy house. This year Chinese New Year, she is very happy to collect red packets so that she got more money. After our Jeju trip, she also asked for some Korean won to keep for her next trip. And now she told me she wants some left over money after each trip. 

And so being Primary 3 this year, she had her first weighted assessment in term 1. She had her first Chinese test on 23 February 2026. And she finished all her tests for all subjects on 4 March 2026. She did her best and her best subject is Science. We definitely got to help her more on English, Chinese and Maths. She is a smart girl so I am sure she will start to pick up and do better! 

On one of the night, she offered to help me to dig my ears and she did a good job. However, she accidentally injured Jianhui’s ears by accident. His ear was bleeding inside until he cannot go swimming for a while. 

We went KL trip with my friends without Jianhui! It’s our first time taking flight back to Singapore with just 2 of us! She is such a good girl I must say! She enjoyed the KL trip a lot too! 

Then it’s March holidays and we went Jeju with my parents. She started to bring her own back pack and put her Bao Bao inside her back pack too! 

We also went Disney on ice for the 2nd time. As usual, she enjoyed the shaved ice and made me buy 3 of the shaved ice containers. I personally prefer last year’s performance. 

She started to cycle every Sunday evening. I enjoy watching her cycle. Looking forward to the day she can cycle with us on EcP and adventure to other places! Her new bike is not bad! 

It was definitely a memorable night for us on 13 April 2026. I was having dinner with Xin Er and Amelia when Lexuan called me. She was crying and she told me she accidentally swallowed a magnet! I was worried and I immediately rushed back. We packed her stuff to go NUH A&E. The hospital was packed with patients. We waited about 2 hours plus. She did x ray and we could really see the magnet in her stomach. So she had to poo out the magnet which she did a few days later. What a relief. 

Anyway, on that night, she prepared surprises for me written on notes such as clean clothes in the toilet and chagee in fridge. She’s such a sweet girl! 

I was finally selected to be Parent volunteer on 14 April 2026. It was a Chinese event in her school. I am happy to meet her friends and see her in school. It was a fun event and I hope I got more chance to be parent volunteer. I met her good friend, Arlo and his mum too. 

We finally bought a new bedsheet (Pokemon) for her super single bed in Senja. And so she slept in her room alone on 24 April 2026. She enjoyed her “me time” and with her air con + fan so shiok. 

She tried Yangguofu for the first time and she loves it! She likes the idea of choosing her own ingredients though her choices are questionable as she only chooses cheese toufu. 

And then it’s weight assessment 2 (WA2)

again. She had Chinese and English writing test in the same week. I gave her some writing tips for birthday celebration for Chinese and she told me this is the topic for the Chinese writing. She managed to pass her Chinese (9/15) this time round! Woohoo! 

She fell sick in the night on 30 April with sore throat and flu. Luckily after yellow pill, she recovered the next day. 

With my old iPhone, she started to message her friend using the phone nowadays. 

She slipped and fell at home with a high blue black on her left elbow. On the same day, she also cut her finger. Luckily it’s not a major injury. 

She stayed at senja alone for the first time while we went Ocbc cycle. Good girl! 

This year Mother’s Day she gave me a blue bear and a card which I treasure a lot! Love you lots Lexuan!
