I'm Home!

I'm home quite early today. Given that my parents are going out and my brother is away for business trip, it's good that I can accompany my grandma at home today. And I believe my company has certainly cheered her up a lot. Just like I know that she enjoys making breakfast for me, so I would always leave it to her to prepare my breakfast. And I really appreciate her for doing all these for me, if not I won't have nice ai xin breakfast + hot tea every morning. =p

I had finally finished reading Harry Potter! Just when I'm wondering what book should I read next, I was told by KC that my favourite author had just launched a new book! Cool. I guess I'm going to get it soon from a bookstore when there's a discount or what. Meanwhile, I got to make a trip to my favourite bookstore to borrow some books to keep myself entertained on my way to and back from work...

Anyway, I think there's something wrong with my stomach. I seem to be hungry all the time! Just like I had just finished my dinner, but I'm already thinking of what to eat for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. Is there a worm in my stomach or what?

I know it sounds crazy, but I dreamt that I have a son last night! My son is so cute! And I remembered that I was telling him that I would send him to school and pick him up after work. Cool.

Weird Weather

It's Sunday and it's raining heavily again! I've said this lotsa times, but I'm just going to repeat myself that I simply hate Rainy Sundays. The world just looks so gloomy, isn't it? Anyway, Singapore 's weather has been really weird lately. The weather should be rather hot and humid at this time, isn't it?

I watched Flash Points with my sister they all last night. It was quite a violent typical Police Vs Bad Guys show, but I guess the guys probably would enjoy the fighting scenes. All I could remember was that I was busy covering my eyes whenever the cop was beating the bad guy violently. Haha.

I'm about to finish Harry Potter, but I'm trying hard to slow down my reading pace now as I feel that a sense of emptiness is going to sweep by me once I finish the book. This is the last book. No more Harry Potter. It's weird, isn't it? When this book was finally released, I can't wait to read it. But, once I start reading it, I wish this is not the last Harry Potter Book. Perhaps I should recap my memory by reading all the Harry Potter Books all over again...

My parents are BACK!

My parents are finally back!

I really miss them and it's just so good to see them back again! Keke. This will also mean that I will have breakfast every morning, nice home cooked dinner and I don't have to worry about getting my clothes washed! I simply love my mum! She is simply one fantastic mum who does everything for her kids! Yeah!

If only I'm in some orientation camp now...

SMU is having their orientation camp right at the doorstep of my branch. It's really nice to see those students playing those funny games and doing funny things. Watching all thse freshies from my branch really reminds me of my sports camp days. I was like them 5 years ago. In fact, I was one of the super crazy freshies. I was so loud and noisy back then. Oh well, I was a cheerleading captain back in JC, so naturally, I had this tendency to cheer loudly ya?
I was like those super SIAO ON freshies who would take initiative to play whatever game and do whatever forfeit they ask me to do to score points. I must say Sports Camp was really fun. In fact, it was the first camp that I had stayed through the whole camp. When I was younger, I would always have to go back home due to asthma attack or some sickness. Somehow, this camp was so fun and enjoyable that I could even endure it with less than 24hrs os sleep for the whole week. I was so tired that it came to the point that I would just sleep anywhere. haha. And it was the definitely the most memorable camp in which I had made some really good friends.

I really feel like going back to Sports Camp! To find back my youth! haha. Hopefully, I can find time to go back Sports Camp this year...

Anyway, after my Mizuno Run, I was very inspired to RUN. So, I would be running 12km in the Sheares' Bridge run, followed by the GE Run in October. Then I would train myself for the 15km New Balance Real Run. Lastly, I would end the year 2007 with Standard Chartered Half Marathon. Sounds good ya? Hopefully, I will be able to complete the last race with a good timing. =p

And I'm simply so clued to Harry Potter! My whole mind is about Harry Potter for the whole day! I nearly couldn't concentrate in my work... Bleargh...

Happy Birthday to Jianhui

My lifestyle has kinda changed ever since I'm on course twice a week. I seem to have less time for myself and I feel really tired, especially towards the later part of the week. Much as I would like to meet up with friends after work, I find it quite hard to find the time to meet them. I would say my life is really kinda boring now. But, I have to admit that the course is interesting and I do benefit a lot from this course. However, there is always this devil in me who always tries to tempt me to skip my lessons so that I can go home to sleep early. But, so far, I have been a good student as I have been attending all my lessons punctually. =p

I HAD FINALLY WATCHED TRANSFORMERS! YEAH!

I was worried that I could possibly be the only person on earth who has not watched this show (as friends around me seem to have watched this show more than once!). Thankfully, I had finally watched it! Yeah!

Anyway, I wanna wish Jianhui a Happy Birthday! May all your wishes come true! And thanks for your chocolates!

Mizuno Wave Run 2007

I had just came back from the Mizuno Wave Run 2007!

It was raining super heavily this morning, and it took me a lot of effort to drag my lazy body out of my cosy bed. The weather was really cold and I was shivering under my umbrella while waiting for a cab. Due to the bad weather, there's hardly any cab in sight. I think I had waited about 15 minutes before I could fetch David at the bus stop.

It's weird that it's raining so heavily at my side, but the rain has stopped at Tampines. I would say it's a good weather for running except for the muddy trail. After meeting up with Jianhui, we started to put on our number tags and deposit our bags at the so-called luggage counter. For your information, the luggage counter is just a van. Basically, all the bags were just thrown inside. Seriously, I would prefer not to bring any bag if I had known that the so called luggage counter is just a van as it's so difficult to collect the bag after the race.

The race started late, but we started even much later. We were so late that we were still at the luggage counter when the race started. We didn't have time to do any stretching and we started running. Both Jianhui and Wenjie were really nice to run with me as I believe they could have completed the run with a good timing without me. Thanks guys!

All in all, I would say it was a good run. I completed the run in 1h and 5 minutes. Though it's not really a good timing, given that I have not been training for weeks and I actually didn't sleep well last night, it's a good timing to myself. In fact, I feel that I deserve a pat on my back. Haha.

It's really nice to go for such run early in the morning on Sunday... Maybe I should consider signing up for the AHM later... But, the problem is, it's 21km... Hmmm...

The girls met up for an engagement celebration at Barstop last night! I'm really happy and excited for Samuel and Cassia. They would be taking another step further and it's just so cool, isn't it?

Once again, Congratulations to Samuel and Cassia. Cassia is definitely the luckiest girl on earth while Samuel is the luckiest guy on earth!

Doughnut Craze II

Thanks to Weiyang, I got to try the famous doughnuts from Doughnuts Factory! It's really so sweet of him to buy doughnuts for all of us at Branch. He actually queued up for 3hrs! Oh man. Because of him, I got to see the happy doughnuts and most importantly, I got to taste it. Yummy!

I simply love doughnuts!

I also had a really happy and full dinner today. It was one of the most satisfying dinner I had for the past few days or even weeks. My mum's cooking is still the best, especially when she cooks my favourite dishes.

I believe I will have a good sleep tonight. =p

There's ICE COLD BEER at SMU

You guys should know how much I love Fried Chicken Wings! Know what? I was told that there's ICE COLD BEER in SMU! How cool can that be? Yummy! I love ICE COLD BEER's Fried Chicken Wings! The thought of eating happy chicken wings on a bad day is making me salivating now... Keke. So far, the happy food at SMU will be Subway (coupled with cookies), Mee Hun Kuay ( the mee hun kuay tastes ordinary but I just love eating mee hun huay), minced meat mee (which I just tried today) and CHOCOLATE! Whenever I'm feeling not so happy, I would go Watson's to buy chocolate, and chocolate never fails to cheer me up. To me, chocolate is like an anti-depressant.

Anyway, it's nice working in a school environment. Somehow, it makes you feel happy seeing those happy students. They really remind me of my university days. Last week, they were having some orientation camp. Looking at those freshies from my branch, it's like seeing myself as a freshies in Sports Camp 5 years ago. I really miss Sports Camp, especially after chatting with Liewen who happened to come to SMU to study. On the other hand, I can't help but to feel old...

And this reminds me that I've yet to take my graduation photos at the studio!

A boring Weekend

I had watched Harry Potter yesterday. And it was totally a disappointment. Perhaps I had loved the story book so much that somehow I feel that the movie is just not good enough. In fact, it was kinda boring at certain parts of the movie. My sister and brother in law even fell asleep during the movie. Haha. But since the movie tickets were free with free popcorn, I guess it's quite worth it after all.

It's kinda a waste that I didn't do anything much today. I'm feeling so sick that I just lie on my bed for the whole day. Or it is a mental sickness? Hmmm... I have been drinking lotsa water, but somehow the flu bug will always attack me on weekend.

It's only Sunday but I'm looking forward to the coming weekend. =p

Doughnut Craze

It seems like there is a DOUGHNUT CRAZE going on in Singapore.

No matter where I go, I would see all kinds of people carrying a big box of doughnuts. Some people would even queue for hours just to buy the doughnuts. Even when I was at HK, I bought some doughnuts from Krispy Kremes back to Singapore. There are many kinds of happy doughnuts and they taste really nice. No doubt that I would love to try the doughnuts, I doubt I would want to spend hours queuing up.

Anyway, when I was young (which was probably only a few years ago), I remembered I love to eat doughnuts, especially those original sugar coated doughnuts. But now, the original doughnuts are replaced by those innovative flavours. Nobody seems to be buying the "normal" doughnuts. it's kinda sad, isn't it?

Will this doughnut craze suffer the same fate as the bubble tea craze a few years back? Or will it be a long term properous business? Hmm...

Thanks to my sister, I'm among the first group of people who got to witness NDP Parade at Marina Bay! It was totally a different experience from the past years' parade at National Stadium or even Padang. And I truly enjoyed the parade despite it was just a rehearsal for the family members of the performers. The whole planning and coodination for the performance is really fantastic. I love every moment of the parade.

Sick again...

I was terribly sick last night.

I all feeling very dizzy, so dizzy that I could faint anytime. I thought that I was feeling dizzy because I had missed my dinner, and so we went to have happy dinner at Geylang. But, I felt much worse after dinner. I even vomitted all my food when I reached home.

I felt so sick that I just headed immediately to my bed after bathing.

Though I feel much better today, I still feel kinda dizzy and my eyes are in great pain.

Why do I always fall sick during weekends?

Insomnia

I didn't sleep at all last night.

I was really tired, but I just COULDN'T fall asleep. My sister was sound asleep beside me, but I just couldn't sleep.

As a result, I was really tired today with swollen and itchy eyes. In fact, I looked so shagged and ugly that my colleagues thought that I was sick. WTH.

I had asked Celene and my sister the same question at different time but the amazing thing was both of them actually gave me the same answer. They simply know me too well. I was telling Celene that I had lotsa questions in my head. She didn't answer me but I was stunned when she asked me back, "Does it make a difference even if you know the answers now?" It's true that it may not change anything, but I would really wanna know the answers... at least to make myself feel better? Or to make myself feel worse?

The whole world is moving on. But, why is it that I seem to be stagnant at the junction?

I need to move on.

Back from HK

I just came back from HK - The Shopping Paradise!

Concidentally, it's their Shopping Festival!

I shopped and ate a lot for the past few days! I had just weighed myself and I had gained 2 kg! Hongkong is really a food heaven. I simply love the Dim Sum and Desserts. Yummy! Yummy!

The weather is quite hot over there, but sometimes, there will be occasional showers. The weird thing was, when we touched down HK, it was raining very heavily. The rain was so heavy that we were shivering in cold and we were all drenched even with umbrellas. Weird weather. Fortunately, the weather had been quite okay for the next few days. If not, I really can't imagine shopping in the rain.

There are many other famous people in the Museum as well like Jay Chou, Brad Pitt, Leslie Cheung, etc. It's quite worth the money to go in to take a look!

We wanted to go Disneyland, but due to time constraints, we had to give it a miss. I shall go there next time or go to Japan Disneyland instead!

We were quite lucky to be at HK for the 10 years Handover Anniversary Celebration. The firework display was really fantastic! It was really crowded, just like those New Year Eve Celebration in Singapore.

It was really great going on trip with my sister and husband though I guess I'm probably quite extra. =p Alan would always bring us to the places we wanna go and my sis will always take good care of me. I really feel like a princess being with them.

Anyway, we nearly couldn't come back to Singapore last night! The stupid agency had forgotten to send the coach to fetch us! Luckily, they managed to book a cab for us to send us to the airport urgently. We nearly couldn't catch our flight and thought that we got to stay one more night at HK. Thankfully, we managed to catch our flight and here I am, HOME SWEET HOME.

It feels good to be back home.

However, I dread to go to work tomorrow... Sigh.
