I'm so tired

I had completed my first race of the year, JP Morgan Chase Challenge! There were a lot of competitors and it was so crowded that we could only start running after walking for quite some time. In the later part of the route, there was some congestion too. The route was quite boring as compared to the race in 2006. Anyway, it was quite a disappointing race as my timing was not that satisfactory.

Anyway, I was told that my primary school friend had passed on quite some time ago due to cancer. Though I have not been keeping in touch with her since Primary School. I was quite upset to hear of this news. She used to be so pretty and smart. A promising life is ahead of her, but she had to be taken away at such young age. And I didn’t even say Goodbye to her. Kit had given me her contact number last year, but I didn’t call her as I didn’t know what to talk to her. To be frank, I was angry at myself for not calling her when she was hospitalised that time. I just hope that she will have a better next life.

Sometimes, I really wonder what's life like after death? Heaven or hell? I guess I'm not afraid of death. I'm more afraid of losing my loved ones.

Life is just so unpredictable. We can never know what's going to happen to us next, isn't it? So, I guess it's really important to treasure everybody around you.

Graduation Photos

I had graduated from school in 2005. Ever since I had graduated from school, I had been so busy working that I nearly forgot that I have not taken any graduation photos in studio. So, after so many years of procrastination, I've finally gone down to Serangoon Broadway to take my graduation photos with my family!

It was very crowded at the studio. Luckily, all of us had done our own make up at home if not we had to fight with the crowd. The moment I put on my gown, I'm so glad that I've decided to take graduations photos with my family. It's a priceless opportunity as it's so rare that we could gather everybody to take photos together.

It was really tiring as we had to make so many different kinds of poses. By the time we've finished taking the photos, my shoulders were aching. I'm serious. Anyway, given that we've spent so much money on this, I really hope that the photos will turn out to be good, if not I will be so disappointed.

My poor grandma

My grandma fell down this morning. Her limbs were very swollen and she was bleeding too. Luckily, the doctor did an X-Ray on her and he said that everything was fine.

I hope that she will recover soon...

Bangkok Trip 10th April to 13th April 08

I'm back! It was a great trip with wonderful company! It was tiring though as I think I've only managed to sleep a total of about 8hrs for the past 3 nights. It must be extremely tiring for boss, given that he has to take care of 9 people (Celine, Fion, Jo, me, Mao, Joanna, Joleen, Everest and BBox). He is like our father as he would make sure all of us are safe.

Joleen, Fion (from KL), Boss and I flew to Thailand on Thursday night. We met up with Fion at the hotel, Prince Palace Hotel. Prince Palace hotel is really cool and good. We had 2 rooms, one with 2 bedrooms suite and the other with 3 bedrooms suite. The suite is really big and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to you if you are going there in big group. On top of it, the hotel lobby is really beautiful. It really looks like a PRINCE PALACE.

After unpacking our stuff, four of us got ready for supper at those roadside stall in Chinatown. It was really yummy! Look at the size of the prawns! Wow... We also had fish, sambal morning glory (which you probably cannot find in Singapore) and clams. The bird nest was kinda bland though.



The prawns are really fresh and huge! Yummy!

After supper, we went to the night market and flower market. Boss told me that only early birds will have this as part of the tour package, Early Birds Special. Haha. It was quite an eyeopening session as there were a lot of flowers of all kinds!

The next morning, the rest came around 10+ and we went for lunch together. We had our lunch at COCA @ Central World. It's so EXPENSIVE and super not worth it! After lunch, we went to Platinium Square, MBK and finally the Si Mian Fo. This time round, we had dinner at Somboon Seafood for the crabs!



Subsequently, we went to look for our water guns!

We also bought a carton of Shingha Beer back to the hotel room. We wanted to party, but in the end all of us were so tired that we went to sleep after bathing.

Jo and I woke up early in the morning the very next day to go swimming! The weather was good, but it seemed like the sun was been blocked by the building. Faint. We swarm for a while before we went down for breakfast. We're going to Chatuchap (I'm not sure of the spelling. >_<)! It was really hot and crowded there. I could feel that I was going to faint anytime. Jo and I couldn't stand it, so we decided to go to Platinum Square for awhile. However, due to the jam, we could only shop there for awhile then we had to go MBK to meet up with the rest. Sigh. I was told by Celene that Platinum Square is good for shopping, but I just don't have enough time to shop there... What a disappointment... In fact, I didn't get to shop much for the whole trip.

We also went for a full 2hrs Thai Massage! It was damn shiok! :) But I could feel my bones crushing at times. Oh man. After the massage, all of us went Chinatown for seafood dinner again! It was really good and I was really full. We also had bird nest and sharks' fins at one of the restaurants.

After dinner, we went back hotel to bathe to get ready to PARTY! We're going to Santika! It's quite a happening place with nice music. The drinks are really cheap. People were already starting to play with water. As such, the place was kinda wet. Towards the later part, we also started pouring water at one another. When the pub closed at 230, we went back to hotel for 2nd round of drinking. And this was our achievement... In fact, there were a few of us drinking as most of them went to sleep after bathing... We drank all the way until 630am... I was really sleepy.



And then, it's WAR TIME! It was my first time celebrating Songkran and it was really fun. We went to a place (which I cannot remember the name) and had a major WAR! All were armed with powerful water guns and we started shooting one another! It was really cool! Though my water gun was just normal, it was fun as we all would aim a common target and we would shoot him or her. :) It was a fun experience! I would post photos of the war once I've gotten them from Boss.

And soon, it's time to check out from the hotel. We had a quick shower before checking out. As Boss, Joleen and I are taking the earlier flight, we had a quick lunch at the roadside before going to airport.

It was a cheap and satisfying lunch... And off we go to the airport... We were so tired that we fell asleep in the taxi...

And it's makan time again! We had a light meal at Mango Tree in the airport before we boarded the plane...

Home Sweet Home.

It was really a great trip. I've enjoyed myself and I would really like to go back for their Songkran again!

R&R

I finally met up with my cute sister, Yinqiu for lunch! We had arranged to meet up so many times unsuccessfully, but this time round, we've finally managed to meet up at Tampines Mall! :) It's really great catching up with her. Babe, we must meet up more than once in a year ya? Haha.

So far, my leave has been quite relaxing. Just rotting at home. To some, they may find that I am wasting my leave to rot at home, but seriously, I kinda enjoy the feeling of being at home. On normal days, I'm seldom at home. So I guess it's good for me to be at home to entertain my grandma while I am on leave.

Anyway, we had our family dinner at Soup Restaurant yesterday. The Samsui chicken was really good. I'm glad that my family had enjoyed the dinner. My grandma was very fascinated about Compass Point as it was her first time going there. We normally will only bring her to places where she doesn't have to walk much, and so Compass Point is always the last choice since it's quite inconvenient for her. But she had managed to walk quite a distance to go to Soup Restaurant! Three Cheers for my Grandma!

I'll be flying off to Bangkok in a few hours.

A big feast at Marina Mandarin

I just came back from a great feast at Marina Mandarin. My brother is going to hold his wedding banquet there in June and so, he invited us for food testing today. Everything was quite nice and I truly enjoyed my dinner though it was kinda rushed for me from work. :)

She's already 91, but she prepares breakfast for me every morning! I love her to the max. She has been taking care of me since I was born. Ah nei, you're definitely going to see me get married!

Anyway, I have a BIG BIG mosquito bite on my left cheek! Argh! In fact, my whole body is full of mosquitoes' bites. :( It's super itchy! Help! Help!

Hope that I will have a good sleep tonight. =p
