Not a good week for me...

Work has not been too good for me lately. Sigh.I would always tell myself that I must start the day with a great smile, but lately, work is so bad that I really can't bring myself to smile towards later part of the day.

It's really kinda depressing.

The good thing is, I'll be on leave next week, so I guess a break at this time will do me some good. And when I'm back at work, I will be a motivated and happy employee again.

Life is great with wonderful people around me

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to attend training tonight. And so, instead of having Hot Stones with Ailing at Boat Quay, both of us went to Punggol Marina to have dinner with boss. It was my first time going there for dinner and seriously, I won't recommend you to go there for dinner unless you're driving there. Because the place is really very ulu. Besides, the food was normal only. Probably I would go there and try the other restaurant some other time though since my boss said that the Chilli crabs and Mee Goreng are good.

Actually, I was feeling rather down before meeting them, but thankfully, after meeting up with them, I feel that I'm alive again. =p It's really good meeting up with them. They are like my mentors, my seniors, my benefactors and my friends. They have been giving me sound advice and will always listen to my complaints and problems. What else can I say? I am so grateful to them for helping me when I was at my lowest point of my life. It may sounds exaggerating, but it's true. =p

After dinner, we were quite worried that we won't be able to get a cab to go home, but know what? We saw a shuttle bus and we hopped onto it immediately! I think the shuttle bus was meant for the staff working at Punggol Marina, but who cares? Haha. The bus drove us to Punggol Mrt Station and from there, we took a bus home.

It's my sleeping time now, but I'm so full that I can't sleep! haha.

Anyway, I met up with my JC House Committee members yesterday! Oh well, there are only four of us actually - Audris, Kenneth, Yukai and me! Our last outing was like millions of years ago when I was still in NTU! No doubt that we've not been meeting one another for so long, there wasn't any awkward silence. In fact, I guess all of us had enjoyed ourselves, talking about JC times and old school jokes. The most amazing thing is, Audris is still so Audris! Haha.

I need my Precious Sleep

I'm feeling so tired!

I've only managed to have 4 hours of sleep this morning! After partying whole night in the hotel, I came back home this morning, feeling really tired. Even when I am typing this, I'm yawning non-stop. But I guess it's worth it. I had lots of fun, playing silly games and taking funny videos last night. It's really great hanging out with all of them. =p

Recovering...

I'm feeling much better today. After drowning myself with lots of medicine, I can at least talk properly now. =p I have so many ulcers in my mouth that my family doctor suspected that I might have HFMD! My god. Thankfully, other than the ugly bruises on my hands and legs, I do not have any other blisters.

Anyway, branch is really quiet lately. I can see that my boss is very stressed about our branch's sales figures. Just hope that we'll have great sales tomorrow! RP, RP and more RP!

I love LONG weekend!

I finally met up with my dear friends, Celene, Shixing and Adrian! It's really nice meeting up with them, especially Shixing! This guy has been MIA for a long time, and I finally managed to see him today! haha. And the best thing is, he drove me home too! haha. After so many months, I've finally sat in his new Honda Jazz.

Thanks to the public holiday on Monday, I had a great workout session with the girls and our dear trainer, Brandon at East Coast Park yesterday! We cycled all the way from ECP's MacDonald's to Changi Village and back to ECP again. That's like a total of 28km? It's madness. When we were cycling towards Changi Village, my only motivation is the Longan Ruby Red Tea . It was extremely yummy. I nearly teared when eating my favourite dessert. Haha.

After exercising so much, our dear Trainer rewarded us with McNugget Meal and a big feast at Old Airport Road! Come to think of it, I think my food intake is still much more than the calories that I've burnt in the day. Ops...

Earthquake

The devastating earthquake in China had killed nearly 15,000 people.

It's depressing to read such news in the newspapers. When I first heard of the news, I thought of my good friends in Chengdu. Thankfully, they are safe and sound. But, there are so many people who are not as lucky as them. Sigh. Life is really unpredictable. Who would expect an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.9 to strike China at this time? Maybe I'm ignorant or what, but from what I remember from my Secondary School's Geography textbook , I thought only Japan has earthquake?

Imagine those victims didn't even have the chance to say Goodbye to their loved ones... It's really depressing.

I wish I could do something for the victims in China.

This box of Wall's mini poppers is super nice! And the most wonderful thing about these mini poppers is, I don't feel guilty eating these! Haha. There are 6 packets in each box and each packet has 3 mini poppers! I can pop 3 mini poppers into my mouth within a minute! =p

My mum

This blog entry is dedicated to my dearest mum.

When I was in Primary School, she would always copy Maths questions for me to practice the questions. She may not understands English, but she would copy diligently all the questions with blanks for me to do. And whenever I came back home from school, she would always lend her pair of listening ears to me. She would listen to all my complaints and happenings in school. To others, I am a nuisance, but she never complains about me. She used to have long, curly hair and I would always play with her hair when she is sewing at home. Maybe that's why my mum has stopped keeping long hair since many many years ago...

Every year, she would also help me to do my Art Folio which I would always get an A for it. I'm never good in craft work, so she has been the one helping me to do all the craft work. I still remember that she would always sew my school uniforms for me in Primary School. She is a great seamstress, but it seems like I never inherit any of her genes. I cannot sew for nuts. Seeing that I'm so clumsy in craft work, she would always do my Home Economics project for me. Ah yes, the doll which had helped me to get an A for Home Economics was done by my dear mum, not me. Ops... I wonder how would my Arts teacher or Home Economics teacher feel when they see this? Haha. As a result, I failed badly for my Home Economics when I was told to sew a small blouse in class for my practical exam. Even now, she would help me to tailor my clothes if my clothes is too big or too small. She even has all means to modify the dress if I complain about the design of my dress. She's that good.

Every morning, I don't have to worry about breakfast as she (or my ah nei) would always prepare breakfast for me with my favourite teh. Though my siblings would always complain about her cooking, I think her cooking suits me. Her famous dishes include mee hoon kuay, pizza, hor fun, pork chop with cheese and many others. Because of her, I'm quite a picky eater as she would always cook my favourite dishes. =p I must admit I'm spoilt to the extent that she would go buy food back for me if I reach home, feeling hungry.

I'm such a big girl, but she will still help me to wash and iron my clothes. And the most amazing thing about my mum is, whenever I have a party or bbq, she would always ask me to prepare the food list and she will settle everything for me.

Without my mum, I'm sure that I won't be able to find my dresses or luggage.

I love my mum.

Nice weekend meeting up with my dear friends...

I met up with Yuxiu, Zhanhong, Limin and Brandon @ Cineleisure to watch movie - Iron Man last night. The journey from the MRT station to Cineleisure was horrible. It was super crowded. I'm just not used to going to town on weekend. I nearly couldn't breathe at all. It's fascinating to see how the youngers dress nowadays. Unique. Maybe I'm really old fashion, but I don't understand why would any guys wanna wear a pair of tight shorts (above knee length) with a small T-Shirt. I simply cannot accept guys wearing such "short" and tight shorts. I think they would look better with bermudas, isn't it?

Anyway, it was a great movie. I was told that there was some extra scene after the credits, and so we waited for quite some time for a one minute preview of Iron Man part 2. Duh. I would say it's doesn't hurt much even if we didn't watch this extra scene. Haha. After movie, we went to Balcony Bar. I had Lychee Margaritas which is nice and cooling. :) We also had my favourite chicken wings. And then we proceeded to Changi Village for desserts! I'm SUPER ADDICTED to the Ruby Red Tea Jelly with Lychee! Super Yummy! I would like to go there some day for MORE! I was tempted to eat Nasi Lemak as well, but I gave up the idea as I had been eating too much... :( All in all, I really enjoyed hanging out with them. There was laughter and fun. Most importantly, I feel very comfortable with them. =p

Getting fatter and fatter...

I've been eating (junk food, tidbits and ice-cream, etc) non-stop at home for the past few days. And instead of jogging regularly, I've been rotting in front of my computer straight after meals for the whole day.

I feel like a FATSO!

Oh man. I must really start jogging intensively.

My boss' birthday is coming, and so I called him to ask him out for a dinner. This is how the conversation goes.

Me: So when you're free for dinner, you just call me la.
Boss: Huh? When I'm free, I would rather go home and sleep.
Me: ......

Whatever.

My Girl

I'm so hooked to the Korean Drama, My Girl lately! It's super super nice!

The male lead, Lee Dong Wook! He's just so handsome and charming! Why is it that I don't remember seeing any Korean guys as handsome as him when I was holidaying in Korea?

Lee Da Hae! She's so cute, funny and pretty in the show! I like all her clothes, earrings, hairstyle and shoes! She's really cute!

For those who have not watched this Korean drama, you should really watch. Cos it's really very very nice and funny. I was so glued to this show that I could watch it for the whole day. Thumbs up for this show!

Oh no, my break is going to end soon! I'm going back to work on Friday. Oh man. Oh well, at least I should be glad that weekend is coming! Hurray!

Congratulations to Hui Ching! Alvin had planned a wonderful proposal for her! Haha. I can't help but to agree with Hui Ching that it's every girl's dream to have a romantic proposal with a bouquet of flowers and ring. Oh well, a girl is still a girl. =p I'm so happy for Hui Ching!

On the roads...

I had a great and fun time, driving around Bedok today! I drove to my favourite Bedok Camp Food Centre, TJ and Parkway Parade! It was stressful, but fun! However, I must admit that I was so focused driving that I had no idea how did I end up at Bedok from Paya Lebar. Haha. I was just following my driving instructor's instructions... I hope I did not give him too much stress or shock today. Ops.

I came back home with a super strong craving for Green Tea... And I finished one packet of Green Tea in less than a minute. I'm crazy. Besides having such a strong craving for Green Tea, I really really wanna eat DURIANS! Argh! Maybe I will dream of durians tonight... haha.

Anyway, I just wanna say that I think I'm so lucky to have a super wonderful sister and a super nice brother in law. They're simply the best. Both of them really dote me a lot, and I really appreciate them for allowing me to be the light bulb all the times. =p Thank you so much.... If there is anything I can do for them, I will definitely do it... I love both of them a lot! And I hope both of them will be happy forever and ever. =p

Oh well, I know my blog is getting really boring. But, my life has been kinda boring lately, so there's really nothing interesting for me to write. Hmm...

So close...

Oh dear! Chelsea has won Newcastle, which means that both Chelsea and Man U are equally close to winning EPL and Champions League! It's going to be so exciting! But I strongly believe Man U is going to win a double this season. :)

I went to visit my grandmother at Hougang after settling some work today. It's good to see her, looking good and healthy. She's so happy that 2 of my cousins and my brother will be getting married this year! She even asks me me to get married next year... Oh well...

My holiday officially starts now! Yeah!

Nevertheless, I must say that it's good to have a public holiday on Thursday. It makes the whole working week seem shorter. Just 1.5 more working days to weekend! Yeah!

Kampung Night

After keeping us in suspense for so long, the shuttle bus brought us to Bottle Tree at Khatib. It was my first time there, and I was kinda amazed that the place looked kinda "kampung-ish". But the place was really hot. Luckily, I was wearing a tube dress with 2 pony tails. :) I'm supposed to be Kampung girl, but I guess I look more a tribal girl. Ops.

All of us were very excited to see one another in Kampung wear. Some wore ah ma's pyjamas, while some wore those butterfly pyjamas and some guys even wore an old white plain t-shirt with Sarong. It's very interesting! Maybe if I've worn my ah ma's clothes, I may just win! Haha.

Each Cluster put on their best to perform and all had cheered loudly for the Cluster Cheerleading competition. I could sense that every Cluster was determined to take the trophy from my previous Cluster, North Cluster. As for me, I was busy coordinating the participants for the respective games that I didn't really eat much. And I was having so much fun (like a kid) that I had no appetite. Haha.

All in all, it was a fun night. Though it would have been better if we could win the Best Cluster award. What a waste. :)

And yes, today is PUBLIG HOLIDAY! I could rot at home! Yeah!

Happy Labour Day to all! It's our well-deserved holiday especially for all working adults!
