I love to run

I had been very busy at work and today is my precious off day before I am on duty for another four consecutive days. Nowadays, one off day is simply not enough for me to rest.

Anyway, I had a good jog at ECP with Celene, Alvin and Jianhui today. It's quite nice to jog at ECP. I guess it's good to get used to run along ECP so that I would not get so traumatized when I run along the ECP route for the full marathon. After our run, we went to the hawker centre for dinner. I was super thirsty and hungry. I was so thirsty that I drank 2 cups of sugarcane water and even finished the water in my water bottle. Haha. It was quite a satisfying dinner as I had my favourite BBQ chicken wings.

After that, we went to Geylang for touhua while Jianhui went to meet David for movie. I love to eat the touhua and you tiao at Geylang. It's super yummy despite that I was feeling quite full. Heehee.

It was a day well spent with my dear friends. =p

Thanks to Alvin for sending me home... I am feeling very tired now. I guess I got to sleep early tonight as I got to work tomorrow. *Pout*

Uncle, please get well soon!

Thanks to Circle Line, I was able to reach TTSH in 40 minutes! I'm so impressed. Circle line is good! Though I must say it's kinda troublesome to change so many trains for a trip.

As mentioned in my previous post, my uncle had a mild stroke and was hospitalized in TTSH now. He doesn't seem to recognize me. It's very depressing to see him in such state and I cried. Sigh. I hope that he would recover soon, so that he can come and visit ah nei as ah nei misses him a lot. We didn't tell ah nei that he's sick as she would be very upset and it may affect her mood drastically especially she's still not feeling too well. Sigh. He would be discharged on Friday, just hope that he would be much better by then...

Working for 6 consecutive days is my limit

I had been really busy at work for the past few days.

I had been working for six consecutive days (including Sat and Sun) with at least 12 working hours per day. I was tired but feeling accomplished. =p I am glad that though my work can be quite shitty at times, I love my job. However, it seems that I do not have much life after work. Everyday, I would go to work early in the morning and after work, I would go home for a late dinner. That's all. It's kinda sad, isn't it? I would always work till quite late, so it's simply quite impossible to meet up with friends for dinner after work. Besides, I doubt they would wanna wait till 8+ for dinner when they could enjoy their dinner at 7pm. Sigh. I guess I can only meet up with friends on my off days... And today is finally my off day. Keke. It's a good break from work as I was so busy and tired that sometimes my mind would go blank when my colleagues asked me questions. I shall rest and relax today. =p

My uncle was hospitalized due to stroke. I would be visiting him later with my mum. I hope that he would be okay, if not my grandma would be so worried. Sigh.

My first half marathon of the year

I had just completed my first half marathon of the year! And i must thank my super wonderful dad for sending me to the race early in the morning at 4.30am! He's the best! : )

I was damn tired and shag! It was a tiring race as I didn't train for it and I was not in good condition with my weak knee cap and sprained right ankle. I guess I would not be able to complete the race without Jianhui's encouragement. I'm sorry that I am the laggard. Ops. After completing this race, I kinda regretted participating the full marathon in year end. I think I am going to die... Oh no...

I am totally looking forward to my next Mizuno Race in AMK! Before I became a sengkang ranger, AMK was my hometown. I stayed in AMK since I was born till I turned 16 years old. I would like to run the race in AMK and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Most importantly, I would also be running past my old HDB flat! So cool!

As for now, it is important for me to rrecover from my injuries before I could start training intensively again. Jia You!

My wonderful 6 days Taiwan Trip

Day 1

We went to the airport early in the morning, for fear that there may be any changes in our flight. So, after checking in, we had plenty of time and so we went to Popeyes for breakfast cum lunch...

I'm all ready to fly to Taiwan!

Taiwan was hit by Typhoon on Friday, hence we were really worried that we might have to cancel our trip. Fortunately, the flight was not cancelled or postponed. =p We had arranged a chauffeur to fetch us from the airport to the hotel. It was still raining heavily when we touched down. After checking in, I called Wanlin to meet up with her at the hotel lobby. It was really great to see her again! She brought us to a steamboat restaurant and there was a wide variety of food like crabs, bamboo clams, oysters, etc and there was free flow of soft drinks! We had a great and full dinner. After dinner, we walked around ximending but most of the shops were closed so we went back to hotel room to rest.

Wonstar Hotel! I would recommend this hotel to you as the location is good and the service of the staff is SUPERB! Though I must inform you that the breakfast isn't that fantastic. Haha.

Day 2

After a simple breakfast at Wonstar Hotel, we went to the famous Ah Chung mian xian to eat the mian xian! It's really good! I could eat this everyday and I would be very satisfied. Haha.

After this, we proceeded to wufenpu for shopping! It's definitely a shopping paradise and I had definitely made a few good buy there. Though it was raining heavily, it did not dampen our mood for shopping. But of course, it would be more convenient to shop without the rain.

After all the shopping, we wanted to walk to Taipei 101. However, after walking quite a distance, we realized that it might be a better idea to take a cab. We walked around Taipei 101 before we went to xin guang san yue to meet Wanlin.

She drove us to some night market for some local food. We ate the grilled beef and chicken which was really good. Also, we tried the beehoon soup which was very nice too.

We shopped for a while and ate other local food before she drove us to Partyworld for KTV! We sang about 2 hours before making our way back to our hotel room.

Day 3

The weather was good and so we decided to go to Formosa Water Park., also known as ba xian le yuan!

The place was really big and fun! There were a lot of fun rides! In fact, there were many scary rides which I felt as if I would fly off from the slide! We managed to try all the rides and it was really very fun!

We played until 5+ before we made our way to Shilin market. There was a lot of good and nice food to eat. It was a food paradise for me! We could eat and shop at the same time! Shiok man. We shopped until 11+ before we decided that we should go home.

Day 4

As per SOP, we had our breakfast at the hotel, then we went for Ah Chung mian xian again! I simply love it man. Then, we walked around ximending. We shopped until 1+ before we went back to hotel to for lunch. And we tried the ya rou bian which was super nice! Sis also bought a MOS burger.

When we were done with our lunch, we went to the IT place which I could not remember the name. There was nothing much to shop and so we went to Dong Qu to meet Wanlin for dinner.

She brought us to Ki Ki Restuarant which was opened by Lan Xinmei. The food was really good. It was something new and I liked it a lot! =p Thanks to Wanlin and Ivan for bringing us to such a wonderful restuarant. I would recommend all of you to try it if you were to go to Taiwan too.

After dinner, Wanlin recommended us to go to a night market, and so we went there to walk around. We had spend quite a lot for the past few days, so we kinda controlled our expenses at the night market. Haha. Besides, we were really tired and so, we went back hotel around 11+.

Day 5

It was our last day in Wonstar Hotel. We had a hard time packing our stuff in our luggage as we simply had bought too many things. Nevertheless, since it was our last time in ximending, we did some last minute shopping before we checked out from the hotel. My sis managed to buy her Hello Kitty collectibles and I guess she must be very happy. Just when we were happily shopping, the rain came. As it was raining super heavily, we decided to take cab to bei tou to go to our Spring Resort.

When we reached Spring Resort, we were very impressed! The room was spacious and cosy! We love the room a lot! And there was a hot spring inside the room too! It's simply so cool. After our simple dinner, we went to the hotspring. It was very relaxing and fun. I simply enjoyed myself a lot at the hotspring. After an hour or so, we went back to our room for R&R.

There's this dining area for us to eat our dinner and appreciate tea. By the way, the complimentary tea was really nice too.

Day 6

There was a wide variety of food for breakfast, but I didn't eat much as I was kinda sick of the same old food. After our breakfast, we went for hotspring again. This time round, we stayed for a while as the hotspring was too HOT! The temperature went up to 45 degrees celsius! Then we went back to our hotel room to do packing to go to the airport. The hotel had helped us to arrange for a taxi and so we could leave punctually at 11.30am.

It was definitely a great trip with great travelling partners, my sis and brother in law.

I would love to go Taiwan again!

I love Taiwan!

I'm back from Taiwan!

The moment I was on the plane, I started to miss the food... And I would really like to go back there for holiday again. Haha.

It was totally a good holiday for me and I enjoyed myself a lot. There's lots and lots of good food with great places for shopping. What else can I ask for? And, I got to catch up with Wanlin too! Ivan and Wanlin were really nice to introduce nice food to us and brought us around. =p

We stayed in Wonstar Hotel and it was quite nice. The service was really good. If I were to go Taipei again, I would definitely stay in Wonstar Hotel. Also, we went to Spring Resort which was really cool! The room was very big and there was wen quan inside the room!

All in all, it was really a great trip!

As you guys would have known from the news, the southern part of Taiwan was badly hit by Typhoon. I felt really upset, watching the news every night. I wish I could do something for the people there. Let's pray hard for them...

I'm in TAIWAN!

I am blogging in the hotel room in Taiwan! It's quite cool to stay in Wonstar Hotel as it is situated in Ximengding and there is free internet access in the hotel room!

The moment we reached the hotel, I called Wanlin and she came to meet us at the hotel lobby. It's really good to meet Wanlin and Ivan as I miss her a lot! As usual, she's loud and funny. Haha. We had chou tou fu before we went for steamboat dinner. I was really impressed with the variety of food they had in the restuarant. It was a great dinner with lots of good food and laughter.

After dinner, we wanted to walk around Ximengding. However, most of the shops were closed. :(

Nevertheless, it feels good to be on HOLIDAY!

Oh no!

Oh no! There is typhoon in Taiwan! As a result, I am not too sure if my flight would be delayed or what. : ( According to Wanlin who is in Taiwan, typhoon is expected to last till Sunday! Argh! Why am I so unlucky?!!!

I hope that my flight will not be delayed tomorrow and I will be able to land safely in Taiwan.

I'm going Taiwan!

After waiting for so many months, I am finally going to Taiwan! I am simply so excited! Yoohoo! To be frank, I am not done with my packing yet as I have been too busy at work for the past few days. Luckily, I am on off today, so I can do the packing for my Taiwan trip! I'm so happy that I am going to meet Wanlin and hopefully, I will get to meet Jay Chou too! Haha.

Though I am excited to go Taiwan, I feel kinda sad that I cannot celebrate National Day in Singapore. But, it's okay. I am going to wear Red and bring my Singapore Flag to Taiwan and recite our National Pledge at 8.22pm on Sunday!

I'm on leave

I woke up at 6am this morning to send Limin off at the airport. Due to bad estimation of time, I was kinda late. We had breakfast at Terminal 1's MacDonald's and chatted for a while. We took some photos before Limin entered the departure hall. It was really sad to send her off, but at least now, we could go Dubai for holiday without worrying about accomodation. Anyway, Thanks to Brendan for sending me home. =p

I would be going Taiwan this weekend! I am totally looking forward to it as I would be able to eat and shop all I want. And most importantly, I would be able to meet my best friend, Wanlin in Taiwan! I am just so excited! Keke. As for now, it is important for me to lose some weight before going Taiwan so that I can eat all I want in Taiwan without feeling guilty. =p

Oh no. I am feeling so sleepy now with a bad headache. I guess I am feeling too tired... Yawn. It's time for nap!

Goodbye my dear friend

Limin would be leaving for Dubai tomorrow.

I feel really sad that she's leaving. We have been best friends since secondary one and she has always been a dear friend to me. She listens to my nonsense, my secretsm my problems, my complaints... She is a good listener. We shop together, we go clubbing and get drunk together and we have done many crazy things together over the 13 years.

I am definitely going to miss her lots...

I hope I will be able to go Dubai next year to visit her.

A Farewell BBQ for Limin

We organized a farewell BBQ for Limin yesterday at Downtown East. Back in secondary school days, we used to have chalet quite often. Going there again, had definitely brought back many memories. =p

We checked in around 5+ then we started to prepare for the BBQ. Brendan helped to start the fire while my sis and I helped to de-froze the food. Soon, we could start BBQing. Thanks to my sis and Alan who drove all the way to City Satay to buy my favourite Satay, Otah and Cheese Sausage! Heehee. In fact, I must thank my super mummy for helping me to buy the food and she even prepared the utensils, etc for me too.

I planned to leave early to go for my 21km race this morning. But on second thoughts, I guess I should give up this race for Limin. She's my dear friend for 13 years, and since it's her farewell BBQ, we should party till late with her.

When most of the guys came, we started to drink all kinds of different alcohol. I had drank mixed beer, Ice wine, 2 or 3 different kinds of red wine, a super-sweet-and-nice wine flown from Italy, Chivas, etc. It's a night of "alcohol tasting". Haha. We laughed and drank the whole night though we kinda controlled our volume for fear that we would be complained by our neighbours. It was really fun hanging out with my this group of friends.
