Langkawi Trip

I'm back!

I was away for a short holiday at Langkawi for the past few days. There wasn't much to do in Langkawi so the trip was quite boring. The only good thing of the trip was, I was happy to be with my sis, brother in law and princess!

As we had booked our trip late, we could only fly to Langkawi by Tiger Airways. After this trip, I doubt I would ever want to take budget airline again. There wasn't enough leg space and most importantly, I feel super uncomfortable on plane without food, drinks and entertainment.

After checking in to City Bayview Hotel, we took a cab to Tang Lung for dinner. There was a lot of mosquitoes and food was okay only. After dinner, there wasn't any nightlife, so we went back hotel. The only entertainment we had at night was purely watching soccer.

The next day, we went for Island Hopping. We went to the Island of Pregnant Maiden and view Eagle Feeding session before we went to another island. There were a lot of monkeys on the island and sometimes, the monkeys would snatch food or plastic bags!

After that, we went to Langkawi Parade for lunch. It was supposed to be a Megamall, but trust me, there wasn't anything to shop. We walked around for less than 1 hour before we decided to go back to the hotel to rest. It's nap time for Princess and so we took nap too.

We wanted to go to the famous Wonderland for lunch, but it was closed! In the end, we went to Bamboo Beach restuarant. The food was quite good (and salty) but the waiting time was horrible. We had to wait for long time before they served our food. We took cab back to the hotel room.

On Tuesday, we went to Cenang Beach! Princess was enjoying herself until she poo-ed... Then we got to rush back to hotel room. We had cup noodles in the room before we went for cable car and underwater world.

Subsequently, we went to the famous Japanese restuarant. Dinner was good and the service was good too. :)

Then we went back to hotel again. We had a good bath and Alan went downstairs to buy our favourite teh peng and prata! The teh peng was really good...

As for today, we went to the hotel's pool before we went to Langkawi Fair. We had lunch at Sunday Bistro and the Thai food was good. :)

Four days passed quickly, and now I'm back home. To be frank, I am happy to be home though I dread to go to work tomorrow.

It's the eve of a New Year tomorrow! I'm s excited! =p

Merry Christmas to all!

It was totally a busy week for me! I was busy at work and busy buying presents for friends for Christmas. I was really tired as I slept at 12am almost everyday!

We had our branch Christmas party on 23rd December. Though all of us were really busy on that day, we had fun during the gift exchange. All of us had written our wishlist and the person who had drawn our names have to buy something as according to our wishlish! It was fun, trying to guess who is the person who had bought the gift for you. It was an easy guess for me as the person had written his name on my present! He had bought me MJ's This is It album! Yeah! We ate 2 logcakes as we had simply too many logcakes in branch! It was a great party! :)

As for the eve of Christmas eve, I had watched Bodyguards and Assassins with Jianhui. It was a great movie! Though I must say it wasn't a good idea to watch such a depressing movie on the eve of Christmas eve! haha.

And then, it's Alfred and Ade's wedding on Christmas Day! As I was one of the jiemeis, I went to her place at 7am. Thanks to my Dad for driving me there, if not I would have to take cab to her place... We started to prepare the stuff for the gatecrashing and soon, the groom came! We had fun at the gatecrashing! Haha.

Then, we took the minibus to go to Alfred's house. It was a long long journey from Tampines to Jurong! And imagine, we had to go back to Tampines from Jurong after the tea ceremony! At this time, all the jiemeis are feeling kinda stoned actually. Haha.

Subsequently, we went to their new place! It was cosy and nice! I love her place! And it was just opposite Ade's parents' place! So cool. We took some photos there before we went back to Ade's parents' house.

And we were totally shocked to see so many of her relatives were in her house! I even met Mr Chew (CSM of AMK Central Branch)! It turned out that he is Ade's uncle! What a small world! Haha.

We had lunch before I went back home for some rest.

And then, it's dinner time!

It's so good to meet up with my JC friends! I also saw Zhicheng, Zhenghua and Yiren! All in all, it was a great dinner with fun and laughter. Thanks to Colin and KC for being the entertainers for the table. Haha.

The dinner ended at 11+. And I was so happy that Huiyi's bf came to fetch us home! Heehee.

All in all, it was a great Christmas and a great wedding.

And now, it's time to do some packing for my Langkawi trip!

An eventful day

It's an eventful day for me today...

Early in the morning, I went for a relaxing short jog. After that, I went to Tampines to meet Yinqiu for lunch. I also collected my contact lens and bought hp casing for my sis. Subsequently, I took a train to go to temple to pray before I went to ICA to collect my passport. As I had fixed appt for my passport collection, I could collect my passport after waiting for awhile! I'm so excited to use my new passport for my Langkawi trip... Yeah!

And now, I am back home! My parents are going out, hence I will be staying at home to keep my grandma company. I shall spend the time to read my favourite story book...

6th Dec 2009 - SCM 2009 (A special day, A special race)

It was a pity that I did not run for full marathon this year. I had decided not to run full marathon this year as I did not have adequate training and most importantly, I think the rash on my neck would kill me if I were to run full marathon. Besides, I had been feeling so tired for the past few days that I simply think that I won't be able to complete the marathon physically and mentally.

Nevertheless, I went for a 10km run with my sis! I'm so proud of her! She had completed her first 10km!

After the race, I stayed at the finishing line, waiting for Jianhui to come back from his full marathon. While waiting for him, I met Shifeng and Jin Tong. I was quite inspired to run full marathon next year after the race today!

I was so relieved when I saw Jianhui and David at the finishing line! Good job guys! After collecting their bags, we went to MacDonald's for lunch before we shared cab to go home.

As I am typing this entry, I am starting to feel SO BLUE! I will be working for 6 days in the coming week! ARGH! This is madness.

I must JIA YOU!!

In fact, I really hope that the next 2 weeks will pass by in a blink of an eye!
