An Enjoyable Weekend!

I had just came back from Shape Run and I'm feeling so tired! I'm feeling tired due to lack of sleep as I had only slept for 3 hours the previous night! I feel like sleeping, but my hair is so wet. :( Nevertheless, I feel good after running 10km. :) Special thanks to JH for coming down early in the morning to support me. Hehe. But, I guess, I really have to start training intensively if not, I am going to suffer for full marathon in December.

It was Jay Chou's concert last night! I was so excited about his concert! Hehe. I find it unbelievable that I have been supporting him for 10 years! Wow. I still remember that when Limin first introduced Jay's songs to me, we were on the bus 132 back home and she shared her mp3 with me. That was when I started to get addicted to his songs... Anyway, the concert was really good with nice stage, nice setting, cute Jay and of course nice songs. I've enjoyed myself a lot. I'm definitely looking forward to his next concert! Hehe.

This has been a busy weekend for me and it's time to go back to work tomorrow. OH MAN. I am starting to experience Monday Blues...

Happy Birthday!

It's Jianhui's birthday today!

On this special day, we went to East Coast Park, the happiest place in Singapore. It's indeed a happy place as I had a great time cycling and relaxing at the breakwater. And there's nice breeze with great weather! It's definitely a wonderful place to relax and have some peace. I simply love to go East Coast Park!

Then we went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner and of course, we had steak! I was really very full after finishing my steak and my side dishes...

After dinner, we went to The Grand Cathay for the movie, Inception. The movie was really good. I was so impressed with the script and idea! I would definitely recommend all to watch this fantastic movie. =p

All in all, it was a great day. Before the clock ticks at 12am, I would like to say a big

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DEAR DEAR!

Unappreciated

I feel so disappointed and upset today. For the first time in my life, I feel so unappreciated.

Feeling really very down today. Sigh.

A perfect Saturday!

I had a great Saturday yesterday coz I am off! Haha. I love weekends when I don't have to work...

I went to JH's house in the morning before we went to Cdan for a swim. It's a nice place for swimming as it's quiet and the bathroom is clean! JH also tried his wet suit which has proven that it can help him to improve his timing by 10 seconds! The power of wet suit! Swimming s relaxing and good for health. I guess I should start going swimming more often on my off day...

After swimming, we went back to JH's house for lunch. I love to eat home cooked food so I'm so happy to eat lunch, cooked by his mum. =p Also, I had my favourite jelly! Hehe.

Then, we went to Cathay for movie, Toy Story 3! I can't stop crying watching the movie! This movie makes me feel so guilty towards my toys. ;( It 's time I should take some time to "talk" to my toys...

After movie, we went to AMK's Melben for CRABS! YEAH! I love crabs! Celene and Alvin were early and surprisingly, there was a queue at 6pm! And we had to wait one hour for the dish to be served. All in all, it was a great dinner! Hehe. It was just so satisfying!

Then, we went to Prinsep street (I can't remember the shop's name) to play Band Hero! It's so fun. Hehe. I am addicted to Band Hero. Wii is so fun! If I have Wii at home, I would always invite my friends to my house to play Wii! And in fact, my parents can join in the fun too! Hope I can have some extra cash to buy Wii soon! :)

I was so tired by the time I reached home. It was really a great Saturday. If only I don't have to work on weekends...

Weekends should be spent doing sports, watching movie, shopping, hanging out with family, loved ones and friends, having nice dinner and relaxing at home. Don't you think so?

World Cup 2010

World Cup 2010 had ended with Spain emerging as the World Cup's champions. For this World Cup, there were several upsets and many good teams did not perform to expectations. Nobody (or at least me) had expected Spain to be the World Cup's champions but they had did it. Though I am not a fan of Spain or Holland, I felt kinda sad for Holland. Holland is relatively quite a strong team, but somehow they just don't have the luck to win World Cup. It was so near yet so far. Maybe they will have better luck for the next World Cup in Brazil? Who knows?

And for the next World Cup, I would be in my Chapter Three. My GOD. I think I am not looking forward to World Cup 2014...

Australia Trip 2010

I'm back from Australia! It was a great trip with wonderful weather and of course with great company! It's my first trip out of Asia to an "Ang Moh" country in winter! Haha. It's freezing cold in Australia and I had been wearing at least 4 pieces of clothes everyday in Australia. It's about 4-15 (DC) in Sydney and much hotter in Gold Coast. The moment I touched down in Singapore, I feel so hot! haha. And because it is Winter, it would be pitch dark by 6pm! And I would always feel so sleepy at 6pm... I feel like a bear who will hibernate in the room at 8pm... I miss Chinese Food so much! It's burgers, pizzas, kerbabs and fries everywhere... And it was so cold that I hate bathing in the morning and at night! Haha.

My dad drove JH and me to the airport on Monday night. As we were feeling kinda hungry, we had Popeye's for supper. It had proven to be a mistake as the moment we boarded the plane, we kept on eating. We were so full throughout the flight. We were supposed to sleep on the plane, but I just couldn't fall asleep. :( In the end, we touched down without sleeping at all.

Day 1
It was 8 Degree Celsius when we touched down in Sydney. For a first-timer like me, I think it was really cold! After collecting our luggage, we took the shuttle bus to Alfred Park! The hosts at Alfred Park are really friendly and helpful. Though the room is just a simple room, I find to be very cosy, especially with the heater in the room! I had a quick bath as it was really too cold to bathe! Now, I finally understand why is it that some people simply don't bathe during winter... After resting for a while, JH and I walked around our place to breathe in some Sydney's air. We went to Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House before we walked to William Street to rent a car from Thrifty.

Then we went back to have a rest before going to a place near the train station for dinner. By the time we finished a simple dinner, we were so tired that we slept at 9pm...

Day 2
Early in the morning, we went to Sydney Fish Market! This got to be JH's favourite place! Haha. He ordered one dozen of fresh oysters and I tried fresh oyster for the first time! It's quite nice! I also ordered fish and chips which was horrible and a seafood platter which was way too much for us to finish it...

Photobucket

After getting our stomach filled, we drove to Blue Mountain! It is a beautiful place with fresh air! I feel like I am going to live till 100 years old after breathing the air. =p

Photobucket

Climbing down to Wentworth Falls

Wentworth Falls with orange netting... Why must they put the orange netting at such a nice place?!!

After that, we drove to Sydney Olympic Park! The place is quiet and we could just park our car to take photos. It's such a waste that this park is wasted after the Olympic. Anyway, it is a nice place for taking photos!

Photobucket

A nice shot of us with the water fountain!

By the time we were done with the photos, it was pitch dark and so we drove back home!

Day 3
We went to Paddy's market for some shopping after having happy breakfast at MacDonald's! After we were done with shopping, we drove to La Perouse. This is a beautiful (but super windy) place! I love the feel of the place. I feel so relaxed and happy at La Perouse.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Subsequently, we drove to Bondi Beach. It wasn't that cold at Bondi Beach because of the sun. Though it is Winter, there were a lot of people surfing in the water. We had a relaxing walk along the beach while enjoying the beautiful beach. :) We had our lunch at Aporto which served not-so-fantastic food. It was a fruitful trip as JH had managed to get his wet suit. =p

Photobucket

After buying the wet suit, we went to Darling Harbour where they had a big screen to show World Cup live with the place decorated for the event. It's a pity that we would be flying off to Brisbane the next day, if not, we could have watched live matches at this wonderful place with the crowd.

Photobucket

Me with the GIANT world cup!

It was our third day and we were quite sick of western food... And so, we decided to eat cup noodles for dinner! It was quite a satisfying dinner. =p

Day 4
We woke up at 6am to take a cab to the airport to take the domestic flight to Brisbane. It was only a short flight of about 1hr to Brisbane. When we reached Brisbane, we realized we had to pay quite a huge sum of money for the airport transfer service. We were left with no choice but to take the shuttle bus. We were told that it would be a 2hrs ride to Gold Coast, but in the end, we realized that it would probably take an hour only! In fact, it was quite an easy route from Brisbane to Gold Coast.

Whatever it is, we were so glad to check in at Paradise Island Resort as we were really tired. We took a rest in the room before we went for our dinner.

And we happened to come across this nice Italian place which sells really nice pizza and pasta!

Photobucket

My best meal in Australia!

After dinner, we took the bus to Gold Coast Convention Centre to collect the race pack! It was only a short ride, but the ride costs us $3 AUD! It's freaking expensive to take bus in Australia. It's quite happening at the collection place as there were many booths selling sports apparel. I would say it is definitely nicer than the booths in Singapore.

Photobucket

Collecting his race pack!

Then, we took the bus back to our resort. And it's ZZZzz time...

Day 5
After our breakfast, we went to the beach for a walk. As compared to the previous day, it wasn't that cold today. I feel like going for a dip, but I know that it's not possible as I would probably freeze to death. Haha.

Photobucket

After that, we went to rent a car to go to Movie World! It was only a 20 minutes ride to Movie World from Surfer's Paradise!

Photobucket

It's a happy place at Movie World! There were many nice rides and my favourite got to be Superman Escape. I love it when the "Superman" behind me announced to the "trapped passengers" that he would save us from the MRT's tunnel by pushing the train FAST. And then, we went all the way UP and DOWN the ride! It was freaking scary! Besides taking the rides, we also watched Shrek 4D which was really cool and the Batman Ride II which made me feel nausea. And the Stunt Drivers were really amazing. They could do drifting, "one-shot" vertical parking and many other stunts. The show was fantastic.

Photobucket

My favourite ride, Superman Escape!

Cat Woman!

Photobucket

Amazing!
(Sis, is this the same show which you had watched 15 years ago?!!)

Photobucket

We left the place around 4pm so that we could go recce the race venue for tomorrow's race. We drove to the race venue before we went to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner...

Photobucket

My dinner which was super YUMMY!

Photobucket

Taking photo at Surfer's Paradise Hard Rock Cafe!

After dinner, we went back to resort to rest. As we got to wake up at 3am the next morning, we slept at around 9pm... As usual, I couldn't sleep well due to the big glass of red wine and we even woke up to watch Argentina-Germany match... In the end, I think I had only managed to sleep for 2 hours or less.

Day 6
Indeed, we woke up at 3am to get ready to go for the race. It was freezing cold in the morning. For once, I was really glad that I didn't sign up for the race as it was just too cold for me to run... I was still trembling in cold despite that I was wearing JH's jacket too. After the race has started, I wallked around Southport to take photos.

Photobucket

Taking one photo before JH went for his run!

Photobucket

Photobucket

The event was really cool as I could watch the race LIVE from the big screen. And on top of it, there was a live band too. It would be good if Singapore's race event could be like Gold Coast Airport Marathon too.

After a while, I saw JH at the meeting point! :) He had managed to clock in quite a good timing. I'm so happy for him!

Photobucket

As we had to rush to catch the bus to go to the airport, we took a few photos then we rushed back to the resort.

In the end, we reached the airport way too early, but it was quite nice to relax on the comfortable couch at the airport.

The moment I boarded the plane, I start to miss Australia. And then, it was a long 8hrs ride back home...

All in all, it was a wonderful trip as I had tried taking the bus in Australia, taking the domestic flight and experiencing Winter for the first time of my life! Hehe.

To Jianhui,
Thank you for taking care of me for the whole trip. :) Also, thank you for bringing me to so many nice places and of coz, thank you for being the driver. Hugz!
