Yeah! Today marks the "birthday" of my GIANT bike!

It's a wonderful present from Jianhui! As this bike is too big for car boot, he even had to cycle it home from Bukit Timah!

Thanks Jianhui! I love it!

Kitty Craze

Now that the haze is more or less back to healthy range, the hottest topic in town got to be Hello Kitty.

I am not really a fan of Hello Kitty but when I first saw this Fairy Tale's Hello Kitty series, I find the kitty so cute that I have decided to collect it. For the first lion kitty, there is no stress as I could still get the 2nd kitty for my mother in law on Saturday. As for the red riding hood kitty, Jianhui got it for me at Plaza Singapura's McD on Thursday evening. And it starts to get crazy for the frog prince kitty. We went to 3 branches (Alan helped me to check out the fourth branch at Rivervale Plaza) and frog prince kitty is sold out islandwide on the same day it was launched! Jianhui even helped me to call a few branches and all sold out. I was kinda upset, but thank goodness my resourceful husband managed to use our extra red riding hood (meant for my mother in law) to exchange for a frog prince kitty! When it comes to ugly duckling kitty, Alan went to Rivervale Plaza's McD to queue for it at 10 plus on Wednesday. Jianhui and I tried to go Bukit Panjang McD and the queue was so long in the morning on Thursday. Jianhui went to Teck Whye's McD and managed to get the ugly kitty. When it comes to Singing Bone Kitty, it's MADNESS. Jianhui and I went to queue at 10 plus on Wednesday night and all the kitty coupons were given out that we didn't get the Singing Bone Kitty. It was totally a disappointment! In the end, we went to NTUC to buy tidbits to eat before going back to Teck Whye to sleep.

On Facebook, you could see that a lot of people couldn't get the Singing Bone Kitty too. There were quarrels and fighting just over a Singing Bone Kitty. I was kinda upset that I couldn't get the Singing Bone Kitty to complete my collection. But you know what? I was lucky that my sister's colleague, Wanteng took leave to queue overnight at McD and she got a kitty for me too! So thankful for that! =p It's crazy that you start to see people selling this kitty for SGD5K on ebay.

Anyway, I was feeling so tired this whole week that when I woke up on Friday, I feel as if my heart cannot pump at all. It was so bad. It was a busy day at work (month end) as usual and my colleagues and I worked until we crazy liao. We started to sing songs and get very high.

Ailing and I wore the same shirt she bought for me from Redang. I was telling her that my mode today is SLEEP. As for her, her mode is EAT.

We had a mini party, drinking the small bottle of Vodka Mavis bought for us.

Then, I went to AMK to meet my secondary school friends for dinner and KTV. And today, Lingli is joining us! I have not seen her since we graduated! It was like 14 years ago!!! Yuxiu, Lingli, Terry and Tianbao met up at the MRT station before we walked over to Blk 347 for dinner.

It was great catching with them as those grooms to be (Yeesu & Ronald) shared about their wedding plans.

Peng brought his son, Zhenyu to join us for dinner too! And Huiling's tummy is getting bigger!!!

After dinner, we went to the Kbox at Broadway Plaza. I didn't know there's Broadway Plaza at AMK Central now! Haha. So long never sing KTV until don't know how to sing the songs liao. Haha.

It was a tired but happy Friday after all! =p

Hazy Singapore

After 5 days of hazy days, we finally get to see clear blue sky and walk under the sun. (Though I must admit it's freaking hot to walk under the sun!)

PSI had been on an average range of 200-300 with certain period hitting as high as 401. It was so bad at 12pm on Friday that most of my colleagues decided to eat in. As for me, I went out for a while to run some errands and it was bad enough to cause irritation to my eyes.

Everybody started to buy N95 and it was sold out on Wednesday. Even air purifiers were sold out. Unity started to have stock daily and you would see long queue everywhere, queuing to buy masks. Singapore was known in Amazon in a day due to massive order of N95 online too. I am thankful that my company had provided one free mask for all staff and Jianhui had managed to get N95 for me from his office. And you know what, F&N's barley drink is sold out at NTUC too. If the condition gets so bad that people have to stay indoor, it may comes to a point in which all Singaporeans may rush to NTUC to stock up their food. I can imagine how chaotic it is going to be.

As for now, I just hope that the haze will get better. Though it was reported on website that, we are likely to be hit badly by the haze soon due to the change in wind direction. Let's just pray that things will get better and not get worse.

We have been taking fresh air for granted that I guess after this Haze Saga, we probably will appreciate what we have better.

A busy but happy week

It had been a busy but happy week for me. It was all about rushing everyday. Every morning, I would rush to work and after work, I would rush to somewhere else. I rushed for my facial appt on Tuesday; rushed to watch Jay Chou on Thursday and rushed to airport on Friday. But, I am happy to watch Jay Chou's concert and went for a short 3D2N holiday at Phuket. The moment I was on plane, I was glad that as least I could relax a little bit.

On Thursday, my sis and I went for Jay Chou's concert. It was really GOOD! After 12 years, Jay Chou is still the BEST and I simply love his concert. His concert tickets were sold out for Friday and Saturday. If not for Papa Alan, we wouldn't be able to watch his concert. It was so highly competitive that Papa Alan could only buy single seats and so we were not sitting together. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the concert and was happy that at least I got to watch him perform. He's just too good and he sang a lot of old classic songs which I really love. He's simply talented - Can compose, sing, play a few musical instruments, dance, act and can even direct! He's Jay Chou. If he is holding another concert next year, I will make sure I will take leave to queue to buy his concert tickets!

I was still in Jay's lala land on Friday when I went to work. Feeling tired, but getting more and more excited about Phuket trip too! It was a hectic day at work and I had to rush to finish my work as my flight is at 8.30pm. Thank god I managed to leave office at 6.30pm and I reached the airport just in time to check in. My sis and Gwyneth were here to send me off! Hehe.

After checking in, I had a quick dinner at the coffeeshop and the fish penyat is horrible. Then, we went to the boarding gate to board the plane. We made it in time after all!

It was a short flight to Phuket. When we touched down, Teck Loon got our rented car from David's Car Rental shop! Teck Loon is our driver while Jiaqi is our Vehicle com. As for us, we are happy passengers. The road was really dark and after making some wrong turns, we finally reached Amora Beach Resort!

After such a long day, we're just too happy to check in. However, the room looks like a chalet and also smell like a chalet. Nevertheless, the good thing is, the bed is BIG and comfortable. The water coming out from the shower tap is pathetic. After settling down, we headed to bed. It was a good sleep as we could finally relax.

On Saturday, we had breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast was disappointing too, but since it's complimentary, I shall not complain much. After breakfast, we went to the private beach for a walk. The beach is beautiful! I won't mind lying there with a book for the whole day!

Then, we went to race expo to collect the race pack! Whenever we go to such race expo, I would be tempted to participate the race. I would have signed up 10km but it's just too expensive. Never mind, I would sign up for other overseas race. =p

After collecting the race packs, Teck Loon drove us to the shopping centre near Patong Beach. It's definitely not easy to drive in Phuket as it is all winding road. It comes to a point that I nearly thought that we are shooting the Initial D movie. Haha.

We had lunch at Le Siam which was okay only, but we were full. We walked around Jungceylon. While waiting for them, Jianhui and I had ice cream at McD! Haha. Jianhui and his McD... When all of them came, Teck Loon brought us to a famous local Pad Thai's place. The Pad Thai was nice but super a lot. We were so full that we don't know if we can still eat dinner. Haha. Overdose of Pad Thai!

Teck Loon is really good. He also brought us to Karon View Point where we can see beautiful scenery of the whole town. We took some photos before he drove us to Tunk-Ka Hilltop restaurant for seafood. We would usually be very excited about dinner, but we were so full that we ordered the drinks first. And you know what? We ordered super a lot of food though we were really full. In the end, we were so full that I can't even eat my favourite banana chocolate pancake. After dinner, we went to Padong beach for a walk before we went back to rest.

By the time we went back to our hotel, we were super tired. We had a quick bath then we went to sleep as we got to wake up early the next day for the race. Luckily, we bathed early as I was told that there was no water later in the night.

On Sunday, we woke up at 5am for the race! Teck Loon were really nice to drive us to the starting point! Jianhui ad David went for their race while Wynn and I relaxed inside the race expo. It was a nice place to relax until we were been chased out. Then, we went outside to cheer for the runners!

About 2 hours from the starting time, it started to rain heavily. We had no choice but to hide under the tent. Just before Jianhui reached the finishing line, the rain stopped again. Happy that he had completed another half marathon! After a while, David also completed the race! And Teck Loon they all came at the right time to fetch us back!

We went back to our room to wash up before we went for McD for breakfast! There were no customers inside McD until we thought that it was closed. Haha. We had to walk in to look for the staff to order. By this time, Jiaqi had to go to the airport and so we stayed here while waiting for Teck Loon to fetch us. The McD smell quite bad so we went to the nearby cafe for a drink.

After a while, Teck Loon came and we went to our resort to check out. We decided to keep one hotel till 5pm and so we relaxed in the room for a while. Just when we were about to go to the beach, it started to rain again. Haha. We waited till the rain stopped before we went to Jungceylon.

It's time for massage! I had head, neck, shoulder and foot massage. It was so shiok! =p After massage, we drove back to our hotel to check out. Once again, it started to rain heavily, and so we had to wait for the rain to stop at the lobby. We also asked the receptionist to recommend a good restaurant nearby - Chaba Restaurant.

And so, we had dinner at Chaba Restaurant. The fish is really fresh and nice. =p It was a good dinner before we leave Phuket.

After dinner, we went to airport for our flight! Our flight is at 10.30pm (BKK time) which means that we could only reach Singapore at 1am (Singapore time). True enough, we only managed to touch down at 1am+. We were feeling so tired and it does not help that there's a long queue at the taxi stand. We were so happy to reach Senja at 2am+. Home sweet home.

All in all, it was a good 3D2N trip to Phuket!
