Happy Birthday Jianhui!

It's Jianhui's birthday! We went to Bukit Timah Food Centre for our favourite chee cheong fun as breakfast! Healthy and good!

Then, we went back home to relax before we went to Nanbantei for lunch! The lunch set was really good and yummy! I would definitely go back there for lunch again! They have mushroom and minced meat rice which was totally AWESOME! Plus the yummy Yakitori cooked with love by the chef! Thumbs Up!

After lunch, we decided to go to Sports Hub! We looked at the new stadium from outside and went to Kallang Wave to walk walk. I wanted to take a look at the OCBC Branch but Meiling and Eileen weren't in. There's nothing much and so we took Circle Line to Marina Square!

We relaxed at Marina Square's Beanstro with a big cup of Mocha. Somehow, they served really big cup of Mocca. Haha.

We also went to Funan IT match to buy Jianhui's birthday present - Polar watch!

And then, it's time for dinner at Paulaner! Sausage + Beer = Damn shiok!

All in all, it was a great birthday celebration for Jianhui!

I'm on block leave!

From today onwards, I am on block leave till next Thursday!

Hurray! Will be relaxing and rotting for a few days before Jianhui and I would be flying off to Australia for our relaxing holiday! :)

I'm totally looking forward to a good holiday in Melbourne and Sydney!

I'll be back with more photos and updates!

A month of races!

After resting a month, we are back in action! 2 races over the weekend!

On Saturday, we went for Garfield Run! I had signed up for this race coz the medals for different categories are really cute and got plush toy too! Oh ya, the event tee is cute too!

Gwyneth's race started at 4.30pm and so we went to the starting point to support her! Some kids can really run very fast!

Soon, Gwyneth is back with papa Alan! So proud of her! Her first 1.5km race! Good job Gwyneth!

Then, it's time for couple race! Jianhui and I went to the starting point to get ready for race. When the race started, we were blocked by the runners in front, so we ran by the side to "overtake" them. About 1.5km, we were quite in front. :) This 5km I really got put in effort to run.

At the turning point, they put the cones in the shape of a heart. So cute. Haha. We finished the race in 29mins 53sec. My best timing for 5km I think. My sis said we could be top 20 couples. Haha.

And then, it's time for 3km fun race! My sis, Yuxiu, Mandy, Sabrina and Qianying took part this category and I managed to find all of them! Haha.

We ended the day with a salute to our Singapore flag.

Jianhui rushed home to get ready to go to his friend's wedding dinner while I went home with sis they all.

They were going to move house to Austville! So we helped to carry some of the stuff over and ordered pizza. The pizza only came at 9.45pm. By the time the pizza came, we were so hungry! Haha. After eating pizza, I took cab home. I was so tired and dehydrated that I was feeling giddy.

I headed to bed once Jianhui came back from wedding dinner.

On Sunday, Jianhui and I went for Mizuno Wave Run. When I woke up in the morning, I was tempted to MC from this race! Feeling so sleepy and my legs feel weak!

We dragged ourselves to the starting point. True enough, the moment I starting running, I feel that I can't really run. My legs feel 100kg! I finally understand how Messi is feeling when he had back to back matches for World Cup and he said that his legs feel 100kg!

To make things worse, this is not an easy running route! We had to go up a small hill, a lot of up slope plus green corridor trail run. Argh!

I nearly died and I walked most of the time as I really couldn't run anymore. So, I was really very happy when I finally completed 15.1kg. Special thanks to Jianhui for encouraging me and running with me when he could have ran his own race!

Morale of the story: Don't ever participate 2 races on 2 consecutive days! Haha.

Don't cry for me, Argentina

64 matches, 1 World Cup winner.

After advancing from Group Stage to Finals, Argentina (sadly) did not manage to win Germany to be World Cup winner. I was disappointed, upset and super sian. They could have persisted till 120minute and killed off the Germans at the penalty shootout. But, super mario scored a goal at 112minute and this goal was the most important goal of the whole World Cup.

I could feel the pain Messi was experiencing. He won Golden Boot but he looked as if this award didn't mean a thing to him. He wanted the World Cup. I really wish Argentina could win instead of Germany.

Argentina could have won the game but they didn't make sure of the chances given to them. That's about football, sometimes you need a little luck to win the game.

No matter what, I still support Messi. :)

Happy July

Wow! It's already July now! June had passed by quickly this year. Looking back, it seems like I have been working, working and nothing much interesting/fantastic has happened. Sigh.

Anyway, July is a happy month for me! Coz Karen has given me NDP tickets and I've managed to get Jay Chou's concert tickets (Thanks to Esther for selling the extra tickets to me)! A lucky month for tickets I would say!

On 5 July 2014, Papa Alan, sis, Gwyneth, Jianhui and me went to NDP preview together! We were given red tickets which were right in the middle of the stage. Best seats ever!

I have always enjoyed myself at NDP. I simply love cheering and singing to the National Day's songs which are part of our childhood. Saying the pledge and singing the anthem as one. Not to forget the fantastic stuff we get in our goodie bags!

The parade ended about 8pm. We were lucky to be the first few to leave the place, and so there wasn't much jam. By the time, we got into the car, people were still walking out.

After 19 years, I finally met up with my primary school friends at Ju Shin Jung (East) Korean Barbecue! Thanks to Zixiong and power of Facebook, we have almost found more than half the class! *Applause*

Given that we had not met up so for long, it was amazing that our first gathering, we had a total participants of 14! Not a bad attendance ya!

It was really great catching up with everybody. All of us did a short introduction to provide an update of our status and what we are doing. We have engineers, IT, rescue team, bankers, property agent, designers, advertisers and Group communication. It was a night of laughter and catching up.

After we were chased out by the restaurant, we went to Burger King for drinks. We attempted to take selfie with the selfie stick, but it was a failed attempt as we had to get the guys to hold the selfie stick. Haha. OPs. So, it's not that easy to take selfie using a selfie stick ya? hahah.

World Cup Fever!

What's so exciting about June in 2014? It's FIFA World Cup Brasil 2014! It's the time for everybody to discuss about football and admire the good looks/body of the soccer players! Haha.

For me, my personal favourite is England, but I know it's won't go far (true enough. England didn't even make it to top 16! Boo boo), so usually I will take on another team. This year, I am supporting Brazil, Holland and Argentina.

I would love to see Brazil vs Argentina in the World Cups Finals. But, Brazil lost terribly (1-7) to Germany in the semi-finals. So, it will be a finals of Germany vs Argentina!

This World Cup is kinda sad for me. Coz, it seems like whichever team I support, it will not have a good ending. If I bet that Brazil will win, then they will lose. When I wish France will win, they lost to Germany. =( So, for the finals, I'm so "supporting" Germany! Hahaha.

Due to the weird timing of this World Cup (12am, 4am, 6am), I didn't watch many of the matches! Jianhui was very on that he had watched quite a lot more matches than me! So on! Haha.

For this World Cup, we have bought some merchandise!

This poster is definitely a must buy! I love updating the scores!
