Happy 5 years and 3 months old! - 61 months to 63 months old (11/12 to 11/2)

Lexuan had been practising 小蜜蜂 song and did her first ever school performance in school! She is so cute and I think she did a good job! She was smiling and enjoying it so much! It was good to see the kids’ performance in school and I was really enjoying myself too! Another proud mummy’s moment! 

She also did her 650m run at standard chartered kids’ dash run. After the race, she complained why her medal is so small compared to our full marathon’s medal. 

As we sleep together at night, she told me that I must be happy before sleeping. And I must say good/nice things of her. Haha. If not, she will complain i never say good things. She is so cute that she tells me that I cannot scold her even if she doesn’t something wrong. 

She was sick on 20 December 2022 with sore throat and flu (tested negative for covid). Glad that at least she got better for Christmas. 

I brought her to Jumptopia at MBS and she is so happy. She really had a great time at such event. 

I couldn’t attend the parents meeting session so Jianhui went alone. Teacher commented that her writing and Maths is bad (we know this). Haha. Overall, she is okay as she enjoys going to school. She is more vocal and will share her happenings in school. So when her boy classmates bullied her, she also told us. We were quite upset and Jianhui went to feedback to the teacher. At least the boy stopped doing stupid things. 

She will wash dishes after eating Maggie mee. She loves 粿条虾 from Shan Cheng, Swee Heng rainbow cake and Polar’s sugar roll. Oh yes, she loves macarons and gets really excited whenever I bought macarons for her. She likes to do drawing, art work and glass deco. 

I must say she can be a good helper too! She will offer to help me to hang clothes and says she wants to help me again. Whenever I change bedsheets, she will be there to pass pillow case to me too. 

Jianhui brought Lexuan to fetch me from work on 29 December 2022 and I’m so happy! We had beef noodles, followed by McDonald’s ice cream and curly fries. She enjoyed sitting by the Singapore river as she ate her ice cream. It was a special Friday evening.

It’s 2023 and Lexuan is K2 now! A few days before 2023, she was crying every night that she doesn’t want to promote to K2. That’s because she used to skip school on every Friday but we told her she needs to go school everyday when she is K2. Luckily, she managed to get used to the momentum and stopped complaining of going school on Friday. But now, we have another problem. She realises that she will be going different primary school from her good friends in K2, and so she will say she is not ready for primary school. 

She keeps saying that daddy is her husband. She also likes my wedding song, At the Beginning and will use my phone to play it on repeated mode. Talking about this, she says she doesn’t want to get married to take care of kids. At times, she get emo and will say she doesn’t want to get old coz if she gets old, we will be old and will die, she will be alone. Wonder why kids nowadays think so much.

For this year Chinese New Year, she is more aware of the festival. She decides what she wants to wear. It’s funny that she offers to wash dishes after our reunion dinner at my in laws place. For cny, she is so happy and excited to play with Xixi that she never takes nap on some days! She ended up sleeping at 9.30pm that day. 

Jianhui has been training Lexuan in cycling. She finally can cycle a bit on 24 January. On 26 January, she gets even better. Finally, on 27 January, she can start off cycling on her own! Well done Lexuan! She asked for Hatchimals as her reward for learning to cycle. 

Oh ya, she likes to say “tell teacher” whenever we scold her. It’s so funny. As if we care that she tells teacher about what happen. I guess she picks this up from school

She started to learn how to sing national anthem. It’s funny how she sings so I actually recorded it down. Hahah. 

She got one shaky tooth at the bottom on 31 January. Wondering when will it stop as the tooth is still “standing strong” so far.

And then she fell sick on 8 February. It started with flu and sore throat. She didn’t sleep well and kept on complaining throughout the night. As a result, I cannot sleep well too. Sigh. Hope she gets well soon! 

She got her hatchimals as her reward for learning how to cycle and she’s totally so happy! ❤️
