新年快乐 - Happy 73 months to 75 months old (11/12 to 11/2) 6 years and 3 mths old

It’s Chinese New Year! 新年快乐! And with this 龙 weekend, I must say it was a good break from work and spending time with family! 

Here we are, going through the 3 months summary of Lexuan. 

She dropped her 3rd tooth on 16 November 2023. She seems to know that tooth fairy is fake but she still tells the “tooth fairy” to give her $2 but don’t take away her tooth. 

And our girl went for her P1 orientation on 17 November 2023! She’s in Respect 5. She went to her class alone while the parents attended briefing in the hall. Starting to feel the stress of having a P1 kid. And she started to tell us that she likes her Primary school. After the briefing, we were brought to her classroom to pick her up. We went to McDonald’s for ice cream before going back. 

Nowadays she will say she wants to decide what we eat. And she requested for pizza. She will complain we always decide what to eat and where to go. Seems like she is growing up. 

She went for her 3rd Standard Chartered’s kids’ dash. She ran all the way, holding my hand as she scared she will fall down. She got her gun balloon and she’s so happy! 

And so our girl had her graduation party on 8 December! Times flies! She started attending Whizland when she was only 3 months old and now she’s 6 years old. 

She performed 我是小兵兵 with her friends. She did well and I am so proud of her. She’s also the back up to do speech. After that, we went Lot 1’s McDonald’s with Arissa and her parents. 

In December, I was very sick with kidney stone and infection. During this period, she has been sleeping with daddy. She’S such a sweet girl as she will get water for me. 

On 1 January, she woke up early to practice going school early. We had booked school bus for her and the waiting time is 6.25am (subsequently changed to 6.35am). And so she started her Primary school journey on 2 January 2024. Jianhui was lucky, he managed to get on the school bus as the school bus is empty while I took public transport. 

I would say she’s such a brave girl as she didn’t school on her first day and she seems to be at ease. She bought Milo only for recess and ate her bin bin I packed for her. And this girl so funny, cannot open her Milo and asked teacher to help.

She took the school bus home and I picked her up. She’s still happy on her first day. On her 3rd day, she started crying and told me she doesn’t like school. She complained the hours are too long and too much things to do. So we rewarded her with Sumikko rement toy and 10 arcade games. It seems to work as she stopped complaining and crying. 

Nowadays, the school liaised with parents using class dojo. She loves it as she likes to collect points. This likes to instill good behaviour on her. She told me she likes the schools playground and will go there to play during recess. And on her first week, she started shopping at bookshop. She has tried pizza, udon, chawanmushi and of course all the sweet drinks. She loves the udon the most and it costs $2. 

The only drama in school would be she misplaced her snack box in school and she cried in school. 王老师 messaged me about this early in the morning and luckily they found it eventually. Oh ya, her friend accidentally torn her favourite lulu’s book and she cried too. 

She had her first 听写 and she cried coz she doesnt know. She doesn’t want to study early and yet she cried when she doesn’t know. She got 88 marks for her first 听写. For her 2nd 听写, she also cried. But at least it’s better. She got 92 marks. 

We brought her back to Whizland and she was so happy to see her teacher. Too bad, she didn’t see Teacher Paulyn. The teachers told us that the K2 kids have been coming back too. 

For this CNY, she is more aware of money. She has been asking me how much red packet am I giving her. She wants to give red packets to ah gong, ah ma, gong gong and popo (using my money). It’s the thoughts that counts.
