Happy 7th Birthday to Lexuan (82 months to 7 years old)

Happy 7th birthday to Lexuan! Mummy and Daddy love you a lot! We wish that you will always be happy and love us too!

She likes Kuromi and basically she likes anything with Kuromi. My sis bought her a Kuromi lantern for Mid-Autumn Festival. She also likes Labubu just like other kids. She loves playing Roblox so I also bought her $30 worth of Robuz for her.

She went Calista’s house for swimming and she had so much fun that she was there for 2hrs. She was really happy.

For the September holidays, we didn’t travel anywhere. Now she will want us to stay at home with her during school holidays or go out with her. So, I think we need to apply more leave next year during school holidays.

She also stitched her first shark herself! She also made other animals.

I bought her a 3D printing pen which she made many interesting things too. She can even make a specs. She is getting better with the pen.

We also started feeding our downstairs cat, 猫猫. She will wait for us in the morning when we wait with Lexuan for school bus. When she is super hungry, she will meow very loudly.

With the Labubu craze, I also bought Labubu. We have Bubu, Berry, Grape and Boo Boo.

She dropped her first big top tooth on 21 September 2024. Her new top tooth was already growing before it dropped.

Interestingly, she told us that our house must have NTUC and Sheng Siong.

Ah gong buys ingredients for ah ma to cook. So next time Jianhui buys ingredients, I cook. She thinks too highly of her mummy.

I bought pop cubes for her from Popmart. We have been very lucky until we got one duplicate. She told me we can sell the duplicate for $9.90 and buy one more coz I thought her we can only have 10.

She’s a sweet little girl as she will always makes sure that she says good bye to us before we got for our run. So whenever we have race in the morning, she will still ask me to wake her up. She will wave good bye to us from the room.

As promised, I brought her to make slime as the Plaza Singapura shop on 3 October 2024, Children’s Day. She’s very happy. It’s expensive thought. It cost me $48. It’s worth it as she is really happy. However, she ended up crying at night when she realized that the slime is too sticky and keeps sticking to her hands. So one tub of slime becomes left with nothing much.

Jianhui started bringing her to go swimming every Monday, then we would have dinner at Ichiban. She is getting better at swimming. I think she should be able to swim by end of this year.

She wanted to have dinner with us as she is bored eating at home. So we brought her to Brewerkz on 25 October 2024.

She went for 2km Great Eastern’s mummy and me run. She was so tired that she didn’t enjoy the run/walk. We were late so we were the last few to start the race. Poor girl also got her feet injured (blister) but I am so proud of her to complete it.

She likes the Labubu’s song and the song Atap by Rose and Bruno mars.

On 8 November 2024, she got to go to zoo with her school mates! She told me that I must go as parent volunteer with her next time. I would love to go with her next time for sure. She had fun but she completed they walked a lot until her legs are very tired.

For her birthday celebration, as per her request, we went Haidilao! She ordered the food for us. We went to Wisma branch and she made a cat plush - Ava (Boo boo). She’s a lucky girl as her yi bought her kuromi stuff as presents + young hearts pyjamas!

For her actual day, she got to make slime again! We had Swensen’s ice creams and McDonald’s for dinner. She also played Arcade games, Fun claw + Lucky draw at seimon cho. It’s a happy day for her. Ai Ling ordered her favourite agar agar cake for her. I also bought Roblox balloons for her.

Short trip to Bintan - 2 November to 3 November 2024

It’s a fun weekend as we are going Bintan today! After having our Prata breakfast, we went back to Teck Whye to pack and to relax.

Then we took a cab to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. It had been a while since we last went Bintan with Lexuan. That was like probably in 2018?

The place is undergoing renovation and it’s not crowded which is good. We waited awhile then it’s time to board for SGT 11.10am ferry. Then it’s time to buy our favourite hotdog bun! They have the best hotdog buns! Haha. It was raining very heavily along the way to Bintan.

Soon, we reached the harbour! We were one of the first few to clear customs. We even got time to get our ferry tickets. I also bought my favourite fishballs and prawn crackers (which are very soft).

Then a nice car fetched us to the hotel - Four Point by Sheraton. Sadly, we cannot check in yet. We walked around the hotel. Le Xuan enjoyed herself at the kids’ club while Jianhui went to recee and collect race pack.

When he’s back, then we went to hotel’s

Restaurant - Rempah Kitchen. Lexuan ordered fish & chips while Jianhui had fried rice with satay. We continued to relax at the kids club since our room is not ready yet. Lexuan got to make friend with a baby and the baby loves to lie on her thighs. By 3pm, our room is still not ready.

We decided not to waste time anymore so we went to the pool. Lexuan went for a swim while I got changed to get ready for my run. I thought my run is starting at 4.30pm but luckily we checked again to confirm. It is starting at 4.15pm. So I quickly walked over to the starting point which is very near.

When I was there, just nice the pen is open so I got to walk to in front. They had Zumba for warm up and they also sang the national anthem before we started the race. I kinda regret wearing red as almost everybody is wearing the blue event tee.

Soon, we started the race. I was feeling quite good. And after running about 1km on the road, we turned left to the lake and it’s nice to run there. We ran most of the time there. They even had fun zone where there is lots of foam. So much foam that my 2 legs got foam. I stopped by a few times to take photos.

My watch says that there’s still 400m but to my surprise, we already at the finishing line. I was so close to be the first female finisher as I was just behind her. Haha.

Then I went back to the room. We finally got our room. But the bedsheets smell. I wonder if they even changed it. Gosh. Jianhui removed the smelly bedsheets and we got them to change into clean ones.

We went for a walk at the beach. There is a pool with foam at the beach restaurant. Lexuan is very excited to play with the foam. I am sure she will love the run as there are 2 zones with foam in the 5km run.

Then we went to Rempah kitchen again for dinner. Lexuan ate her fish & chips again while we had buffet. There’s nothing much for buffet though. Lexuan went to kids club while we are having dinner. She loves the kids club here.

We went back to the room to rest. Lexuan slept early while I couldn’t really sleep. Couldn’t really sleep and dreamt a lot.

Jianhui woke up early around 4am+ to go for half marathon. While I tried to sleep but I didn’t really sleep too. Soon, Lexuan woke up too.

We went for breakfast around 7am+. She didn’t eat much. Breakfast got more variety but also nothing much.

After breakfast, we went swimming! While getting ready to go swimming, Jianhui is back too! Good job Jianhui for completing half marathon!

We swarm for an hour. Lexuan is happy to meet her favourite baby boy, a new friend she has made at kids club in the pool too.

After we rested a while, we went to the kids club again. Her favourite baby and another friend is there too. We played until 11am before we went back to the room.

We checked out around 12pm, to wait for our shuttle bus at 12.30pm. It is a short trip to the ferry. I managed to buy my fishballs and then we queued to clear customs.

We are taking the 1.35pm ferry back. We are definitely looking forward to our hotdog bun lunch on the ferry! We are a total of 5 hotdog buns! Haha. Top customer of the day!

We reach Singapore around 4pm. Sadly there is no grab or cab. So we took bus 35 to Tanah Merah. And then we managed to get a cab very quickly! Finally we are going home!

Overall, it was a good short trip. Happy to do a run too!
