Happy 8 years 1 month to 3 months old (11 Dec to 11 Feb 2026)

Lexuan came to my company for KidsDayOut@sc on 14 November 2025. She was happy as she got to take photo with Kuromi. After work, we went out with Yoko and Felicia to celebrate her birthday too! 

She tried cooking her first egg fried rice at Marina Square’s shop (for kids) and the fried rice is surprisingly nice! Easy to prepare too! 

She also went Super Park for the first time and it’s like an exercise place for kids. Good work out session for her! 

For SCSM, she took part Kids dash 800m and she did well! Hope that she could continue doing this every year! 

We came to know that her best friend Calista is going back Malaysia. Lexuan is very sad as she is her best friend since Whizland. She wrote a card and prepared present for her. They had the last play date together before Calista went Malaysia. Hope that they can continue to keep in contact. 

She loves the Channel 8 netball show (力挽狂蓝 - Under the net) and will keep watching it on repeat mode. I hope that this will help her to improve her Chinese and motivate her to watch more Chinese drama. 

For her school holidays, Jianhui has been asking her to practise Chinese writing. Her writing has improved a lot. 

We also went Taiwan for a short family trip. She always loves Taiwan for some reasons. She enjoyed the Tanghulu, hotpot, cheese pull pancake and all the claw machines! She also likes the night market where we got to buy food and play games. She also likes baby Mikan a lot and she has been playing with her since we came back from Taiwan. 

She has become more independent and now she can buy Yakitori and salmon from downstairs kopitiam herself. She likes to go Sheng Siong to buy stuff herself too. 

It’s her First day of school in P3 on 5 Jan. Time flies! Can’t believe she is going to be 8 years old this year. I usually will set alarm but one of the morning, she heard the snoozing alarm (I probably mute my phone) and she woke me up. She is looking all fresh and ready for school! 

She survived first week of school happily with no complaints. We jioed her to go running on 10 January 2026. And she fell down badly. She was limping for a few days. Luckily, she’s young so she recovered quite fast and her wound is much better after a few days. 

Oh ya, to our surprise, she won Edusave Good Progress Award! She got her Good Progress Award on 17 Jan where we went to CCK CC for the award ceremony. Nowadays the ceremony very well-organized. They have food after the ceremony and even printed out the photo we took with Tan See Leng on the spot. 

She got into brass band and she is so excited about it! She kept on chatting with Jianhui about band. Hope that she enjoys her CCA in primary school! 

We were just into 2nd week of school and we received notice that she got selected for 3 remedial classes - English, Chinese and Maths. Jianhui wrote to the teacher and so we decided to let her go for maths and Chinese remedial classes. Because of these classes, this also means that Jianhui has to pick her up from school. 辛苦Jianhui了.  And so Jianhui also started to train her how to take bus home herself. For the first time, she took bus until Blk 183, 2nd time at Blk 14. And she finally came home herself on 10 February 2026! 

Jianhui spent sometime teaching her spelling and 听写. And so she got 78 marks for her first 听写！ 

She went to her school dentist and she got 2 tooth decay - both on the left, one on the top and the other on the bottom. When we brought her to the Novena dentist, she did x ray and she got supernumerary tooth which needed operation. Our concern is her decay tooth so we brought her to Khoo Teck Puat for 2nd opinion and cleaning. They told us to bring her to her school dental centre. Luckily we managed to get an appointment at her school dental this time round. She was crying as it was traumatising and she felt numbness on the left. 

She has been a good girl so far. She will pack her snack box, school bag and water bottle herself. Hope she continues to study hard and be a happy girl!
