13 March 2026 and 14 March 2026

Yeah! We are so looking forward to this March’s holidays! We have been so tired with P3 and work so this break will be good for us! We’re going to Jeju! The last time I went Jeju was in 2005! And my parents are coming with us too! 

We went back to Senja to pack our stuff before I continued working at Senja. It’s a short trip so packing is much easier. As usual, it was a busy day at work. I’m glad that we had yummy home cooked dinner at 5pm before we went back Senja at 6pm+. 

Basically, we showered and put all our stuff into the luggage. Then it’s time to take cab to the airport, Terminal 3. We took cab at around 7.30pm. 

When we reached the airport, my parents reached at the same time too! As we need to transit, we cannot check in and print our own boarding pass. We have to go to the counter. When we were there, there wasn’t any queue yet. 

Then we saw llao llao when we went toilet. It had been a long time since we ate it so I bought to eat. It’s nice, but sinful too. And it’s $8. Haha. I enjoyed the dessert though. 

Then we entered the departure hall. There’s a live band singing right after the immigration control. Quite a nice vibe especially on Friday night? Wonder if they have this every day or just on Friday? 

Then we went to foodcourt. My dad bought wanton mee while Jianhui bought Burger King. Seems like it is getting a norm for us to eat Burger King at the airport just before we fly. 

Then we walked to our gate (A21) which is very far, almost at the corner. We started boarding at 10.30 for 11pm flight. Everything went smoothly. 

I was feeling sleepy but I didn’t manage to fall asleep. Lexuan was super on form. So she managed to sleep. She only woke up for a while at around 11.35pm to go toilet. 

They served supper at 12.15am. It’s fried rice and chicken meatball pasta. Both was okay only. I guess I am more interested to fall asleep. So I managed to sleep about 2 hours to 3am+. 

Touched down Shanghai at 4am and I feel so sleepy. It’s too early so the shops are not open yet. By the time we settled the security check, it’s only 5am. Our flight is at 10am+.

I managed to lie down on the seats to sleep for an hour. We woke up around 6am+. We then went to have breakfast. Lexuan offered ramen while my parents and Jianhui ordered burger. We had americano. And after that I feel like going to shit. Haha. 

Jianhui went to walk around and I was excited when he told me there is Sanrio gift gate. So happy! My happy heaven haha. Spent about $160+ at the shop. Ops! 

Then we went to Gate 214 around 9am. We had to take the bus to the plane. It’s quite cold outside even with the sun. Temperature is about 11 degree Celsius. 

Lexuan was so energetic the whole morning since 3am. And now she finally fell asleep, charging her battery. 

We touched down at 1pm. Clearing customs is a breeze and no queue. It’s easy and fast to get the baggage too. 

The weather is cold so i took out Lexuan’s Kuromi jacket from Jianhui’s bag to wear. Meanwhile this Lexuan is so strong. She can survive with Uniqlo cardigan. We took the shuttle bus to SK car rental office. Jianhui went to settle the car while I brought Lexuan to the toilet. Then we went back to level 4 car park to get our car! We go a white KIA car this time round. It’s left hand drive in Korea. I always find jianhui very amazing to be able to drive left hand drive car even though he seldom drives cars. 

First stop is our lunch at McDonald’s! We spent SGD36 for all of us.  In Korea, they only have ketchup, no wonder Jianhui gave Lexuan one ketchup packet from his previous trip. We had a filling lunch before continuing our journey to our accommodation - Boutique Pool Villa Namib. 

We stopped over a supermarket to do grocery shopping. It took us a while to find Nutella and butter. Haha. We are good to camp here for the next few days with bread and snacks. 

We reached our accommodation ar around 4.50. Very nice villa with 2 storey. The only thing is, the floor is cold! Esp the toilet floor and the stairs leading up to the room. It’s one room with 2 beds at 2 different side. We relaxed a while before we went out for dinner. 

After driving a while, we decided to eat at Jipbuldo. We wanted something simple but cannot find so we ate BBQ. We ordered set meal for 3. The pork is good. Think we ate pretty fast as the rest were still eating when we left. We were worried our jackets got stained with smell so jianhui brought our jackets back to car first. 

It was a good dinner and Lexuan enjoyed the pork. Then we drove back. 

So fast, it’s the end of Saturday. I came to know some of my other friends are in Seoul or Jeju too. Interesting that we all decided to come here for this March holidays. 

We slept around 10pm. As usual, I am the last one to fall asleep. I woke up 3-4 times to go toilet. Other than that, it was quite a nice sleep. 

15 March 2026

Happy Sunday! I woke up thinking that it’s Saturday actually. Haha. Jianhui and I woke up around 7am. My parents were already up and had their breakfast. 

We had an easy morning while waiting for lexuan to wake up. She woke up 9am+ then we left our apartment around 10am. 

We had the first stop at 7-11 to keep Lexuan entertained as she has been wanting to go 7-11. And the joke is I got into the wrong car. And the car is not locked. Haha. 

Then we drove to Handeok Seoubong Beach. It is windy and cold. We had a short walk before heading to Cafe Delmoondo. It is cosy and we ordered a lot of bread to eat! The bread is nice. We saw some pretty female influencers taking a lot of photos. We finished all our bread Liao they still taking photos. Haha. 

Then we stopped by a place to take photos with the beautiful yellow flowers - Canola flower. It cost us  KRW1,000 per pax. Lexuan didn’t want to take photos so Jianhui and I took couple photos. Haha. It is like our honeymoon as the staff was helping us to take many nice photos. 

And this time, Lexuan went into the wrong car. Haha. How come people here don’t like to lock their car door? Haha. 

Then we went to Seongsan Sunrise Peak for hiking! Lexuan bought strawberry Tanghulu and it is so frozen and cold to eat. Lexuan couldn’t really eat. We bought the tickets for the paid trail (right side of it). 

And then Lexuan and I went to ride horse. It is KRW15,000 per pax. It’s fun and cooling. The horse looks so cute too. Then Jianhui went ahead to continue hiking while we walked down. 

We went to souvenir shop to shop. When we finished shopping, Jianhui is already done. He’s so fast. Was telling him that he must be so fit haha. 

We drove about 1hr to the McDonald’s for a quick snack first so that we won’t be hungry.  We also stopped by supermarket to top up our grocery. We realized a lot of restaurants are closed on Sunday so we decided to eat Maggie mee for dinner. 

I slept around 11pm 

16 March 2026

Lexuan woke up early at 7am+. We had breakfast then we headed out at around 9am+. 

Our first stop is Osulloc, the tea museum. We order matcha ice cream, cakes and drink. The matcha drink is the best. I bought some masks (about SGD20 for 10 masks) from Innisfree so that I can use tonight. Haha. 

Then we drove to Songaksan Mountain trail. We are not hiking today so just taking some photos. Then it’s lunch time. We chose the hotpot with dumplings restaurant. The best part is, they have menu in English. The ginseng beef soup Jianhui ordered is nice. The hotpot is not bad but too much dumplings until we cannot finish it. Lexuan likes the beef ribs and managed to eat rice with soup and beef. The female owner is very friendly and she guessed that we were from Singapore. Haha. 

We had such a full lunch that i was dozing off in the car. We drove to Daepo Jusangjelli Cliff. We had to pay entrance fees (KRW2,000) to enter. Cooling air over here. There were many stacked stones here. Lexuan managed to find some stones and also stacked her own stones. 

Then we are heading to the city! I need to go SPAO to find pyjamas! Thankful to have my husband who helped me to research how to go to that place. Hehe. We managed to find the place to park after driving a few rounds. Then we went to a nearby hotel for the toilet. 

There are many cute pyjamas designs. It is unisex pyjamas so the cutting is quite big. Nevertheless, pyjamas should be loose fitting. After done with this, we can go back now! We drove back and reach around 5pm.

We relaxed in our apartment for a while. 

Then we went out around 6pm to the BBQ restaurant near our apartment. We are trying the other one. So we ordered Sea view pork meat 4 persons (1100g) which cost KRW120k + soup + beer + coke.

Lexuan likes the soup and ate rice with it. She also ate a bit of the pork. We think that the first restaurant pork tasted nicer. The total damage is KRW136,000 (about SGD116). 

We went back to rest after dinner. It’s always good to be back early. They gave us a big of fresh towels. 

We took turns to shower and relaxed. 

Jianhui complained of stomach pain due to indigestion. He went downstairs to sleep. 

17 March 2026 

It’s our last full day in Jeju. Time passes so fast when you’re having fun. Lexuan slept in a little more today and woke up around 8.45. 

We left the house around 9.15am. We are heading to Saebyeol Friends, the place recommended by Audris. 

It was a mini farm where we can feed the animals. It cost KRW18,000 per pax while the senior citizen has KRW3,000 discount.

We also bought KWR6,000 worth of food to feed the animals. Lexuan loves it so much that we bought 3 set of the food. I think the most fun would be feeding the donkey with bottled milk. They seem so hungry. The sheep are so aggressive and will come near to you if you hold on to the feeding bucket. There is a big fat black pig too. 

We went to the sheep room where you can sit down and take photos with them. They will surround you. They are so fluffy and don’t smell at all. I like this place so much! 

Then it is exercise time! We are supposed to do the easy Eoseungsaengak Trail. It isn’t that easy after all. But Lexuan managed to conquer it! So proud of this girl! My parents gave up climbing and decided to wait for us downstairs. 

Then we drove to Hyeopjae Beach, back to West Coast. It’s already 1pm so we’re hungry. Hope there is something nice to eat there. I found one restaurant near the beach. We ordered set meal for 3 which has 2 seafood ramen, seafood pancake, abalone porridge. The seafood pancake is nice! Their seafood ramen has a lot of seafood too but the ramen tastes like our shin Maggie mee haha. Abalone porridge was normal to me. Maybe I had too high expectation of that. Hah. Even my MIL abalone chicken porridge tastes nicer. haha. It was a filling lunch. Total damage is $75. 

We then went to the beach for a walk. I love it that they have the sand covered so our shoes won’t get dirty. Lexuan went to play with sand for a while. Then we went Starbucks for a drink. I saw Starbucks luggage tag and Korean edition Starbucks bear which I think my sis will like it. And so I bought for her. Hehe.

Then we went back to our apartment. It was a short drive. We relaxed in the room. 

I cooked Maggie mee for Lexuan and my parents. Then Jianhui, Lexuan and I went Jipbuldo, the first place we had our dinner. We ordered the 2 person set… and it’s black pork. It is really so yummy! 

We then went back to our apartment to pack. That was when we realize we couldn’t find the Berlin jacket. My god. It is our precious jacket. Sigh. Hope that we manage to find it somehow tomorrow. 

We slept around 10pm+ as we have an early flight in the morning at 9.55am Korean time. 

18 March 2026 

I woke up at 4.45am. I was dreaming of work and us finding the Berlin jacket. 

We all had quick shower and got ready to check out. We left the apartment around 5.40am. It’s about 40minutes drive to the airport. It’s raining this morning and it’s so dark. It feels like we are going out at night. 

It’s early but there are quite a number of cars on road. We reached the airport at about 6.30am. Jianhui dropped us and the luggage at the departure hall while he went to return the car.

So for this trip, we drove about 454km. And the car rental is based on mileage. Jianhui said it cost about $80+. This is considered cheaper compared to pump petroleum. We queued at the counter while waiting for Jianhui to be back. Luckily he make it just in time.

Not many flights at this airport so clearing customs and security is a breeze. We did some last minute shopping of snacks before we went to the cafe for breakfast. The bread is nice especially the coffee bread and salt and butter bread.

When we were still enjoying our bread, the cafe suddenly became very empty. Everybody went to board the plane. Boarding time is 8.10am but they were all rushing us to board the plane. We were all boarded at 8.26am. 

At least it is a direct flight back to Singapore. I am so looking forward to ear Maggie mee on plane and have some sleep.  

I slept a while when taking off. Time passes quite fast to me. Then we ordered Maggie mee combo at around 12pm+. It is simply so shiok to eat Maggie mee on plane. Definitely my comfort food on plane. Soon we touched down Singapore time 1.45pm. 

Home sweet home! 

We had a quick lunch/snack at white beehoon before we took a cab home. 

Overall it was really a good and short trip for this march holidays. And I am very happy that my parents came along too. Apparently it is their first time to Korea. Hope that they have enjoyed themselves. Thank you to my dear husband for planning this trip, our activities everyday and being our reliable and safe driver! Can’t imagine travelling without Jianhui. Special thanks to Lexuan for being such a good girl too though. Looking forward to the next trip!
