Singapore Biathlon + OCBC Cycle = Triathlon for him
After a busy week at work, both Jianhui and I are looking forward to a great weekend with Singapore Biathlon and OCBC Cycle. True enough, it is a good weekend though I feel kinda tired after 24km of cycling this morning. On Saturday, my dad drove me to ECP early in the morning. The guys were ready to start the race and Lie Wen is really nice to come down to help them to take photos! David, Soon Soon and Jianhui started the race together. Subsequently, Jianyun came and I helped him to carry his bag. I'm the official bag depositer for the day! haha. During the race, I saw Justin, Kit and Wenjie in action. Then, Jianhui is back, followed by Soon Soon and David! David is suffering from jet lag so he did not perform to his best. As for Soon Soon and Jianhui, they exclaimed that they must do more training to prepare for Singapore Biathlon on future!
Posing with JH at the finishing lineAs for this morning, I was excited to participate in OCBC Cycle 2012! Thanks to Angelyn and Ailing for arranging the bikes, if not we would not have bikes to cycle! To my surprise, there was a lot of people! There were 12 of us from BBCSC who participated in this race together.
Getting ready with JH who is my cycling instructor for the day! It's fun cycling around the town. Though I would appreciate more if they could just give us one up slope instead of 3 up slope this year! If not for the up slope, the ride is okay and I definitely would not feel so tired! haha. Along the way, we took many photos! Ailing is really fit. She is always catching up with us.
Nice photo along the way! After cycling a steep up slope, we had finally reached the finishing line! I was so happy to be back! haha.
A group photo of the happy cyclists! After returning the bikes, Jianhui and I went to our usual favourite spot to have our breakfast before going back home for rest. All in all, this weekend is definitely a sporting (aka shag) weekend for Jianhui. =p Nevertheless, both of us enjoy going for races! Looking forward to more races in 2012!

Lunch date + ECP
I met up with my dearest best friend, Yuxiu at Antoinette for lunch today. It's a small restaurant so the seats are kinda limited. Thank goodness we had managed to get a table without waiting for a long time. I met Francis and wife at Mandarin Gallery again. I met them at Mandarin Gallery many many months ago when I was having lunch with Yuxiu and Ippudo. Haha. Either they like to come to Mandarin Gallery or it's just pure coincidence. :)We ordered the breakfast set and Gnocchi Carbonara. The breakfast set is really "quite happy". I love the croissant and the scrambled egg. I would say it's a "must eat' for this place. It's nice and definitely value for money. As for my Gnocchi Carbonara, it's something new and I like the cheesy taste though I would appreciate more if they serve some "non-fatty" bacon strips to me. All in all, it was a satisfying and fulfilling lunch with Yuxiu.
After lunch, we went to Artease to buy bubble tea. It's one of my favourite place to buy bubble tea in town since I can't find KOI in town. My new favourite is Fresh milk Grass Jelly recommended by my sister! Hehe. Thereafter, we went to the bus stop to meet up with Jianhui. We're going to ECP. Unfortunately, it started raining when we were on the bus. :( We continued our journey to ECP, hoping the rain would stop by the time we reached ECP. However, it didn't stop and so we hang out at the McDonald's while waiting for the rain to stop. Luckily, it finally stopped and we could go cycling. We rented the more "atas" bikes. As a result, I find it a bit weird to cycle the bike and it's causing me to have backache. Bleargh. All in all, it was a good weekend!

It's weekend!
It had been a busy and tiring week at work for me. I'm busy with BAU and there's endless of meeting to attend. I was so glad that it's finally weekend! =pOn Friday, it was a nice date with Jianhui. We had a nice dinner at Imperial Treasure, followed by Gelare's waffle with ice cream! Yummy! Somehow, I'm in the mood to shop. I bought a bubble gun (for Gwyneth), Smurf's DVD, a bicycle helmet and some cute stuff of My Melody! =pAs for Saturday, we went to MacPherson to get his sports attire. Then, we had went Raffles City's Love & Co to shop for wedding band! Hehe. After looking at a few rings, I have a rough idea of what kind of wedding band I like. Just a few more trips to some other shops, I guess we can buy our wedding band. Then, we had a dinner at Ichiban and went to Soo Kee to look at wedding band before we went to The Cathay to watch Ghost Rider. The movie was so-so and I guess I would not recommend my friends to watch it unless they are just too bored. This morning, my sis and I went to Nicoll Highway to support Papa Alan! He had taken part in Urbanmarathon! It's quite an interesting race as the participants have to run 14km and overcome obstacles along the way! We're happy that Papa Alan had completed the run! =p Then it's time for happy breakfast at McDonald's!Let's all enjoy rest of the Sunday! =p

February is here!
Somehow, January had passed by quickly and now we are moving on to February. It's amazing that each day just passes by so fast that before we know it, we are approaching Christmas? Haha.I finally get to meet Celene, Alvin, Shixing and his gf, Isabelle yesterday at TWG (@ Ion)! They are my dear friends whom I love to meet up with! It's rare that Shixing can make it with his gf! It's my first time at TWG, as a result, I had ordered a wrong set which was not satisfying. Probably it would be better to order the Seabass as recommended by Celene and Alvin. Celene is really sweet to buy me a cute Forever Friends Calendar, my favourite mask and FaceShop's hand cream! After that, we made our way to Tampines to go to Ade's place! We went to Sakae Sushi at Century Square to buy yusheng and were told to wait for 30 minutes. :( Colin came to join us while waiting for the yusheng. Then, we walked to Ade's place together. It's quite a short walk to her place given that the weather is quite cooling. We met Taufik at the door who was about to leave for work. Most of them were already there when we reached.
The group photo for the early birds (Note: Taufik had left so he's not inside the photo)Ade prepared my favourite Ikea meatballs and the chicken for us as snacks! Then, we also had Canadian pizza and Chocolate cake bought by Sherlyn! Also, thanks to Ade, I finally got to try the famous Lao Ban Douhua which everybody is talking about. Verdict: It's smooth, soft and tastes a little bit different from normal douhua. But, I guess I won't queue up for hours to get it. After dinner, we started our Boxing Challenge! It was really fun but tiring! Andre is indeed our boxing king! He is damn good at the game! haha. We also played Tennis, the irritating rabbit games and my favourite dancing game! Haha. All in all, we all had fun catching up with one another and playing Wii. Ade, thanks for inviting us to your place and thanks for the food! =p
One last group photo!

人日
Thanks to Weipeng, we had a gathering at his place for "Lou Hei" today. Jordan and Huiling came to give me a ride to his place and we were the "early birds" at his place. Though many of our friends can't make it, we are happy to have Limin back to join us! =p After our Lou Hei, we started our Blackjack! Baba is so lucky today! As for me, my luck is just normal. I guess Baba probably is a big winner. Then, I played mahjong for a while before Alan came to fetch me back home to prepare steamboat.
My dearest friends!
My favourite yu sheng from Sakae Sushi
And this is our happy steamboat!I had a great dinner at home! Hehe!

Emo week
It had been quite a bad week at work for me. I was feeling down and emo for no reason. To make things worse, I made quite a serious mistake at work on Friday. :( I was feeling very upset. Luckily, I have a great bf who has been very understanding (despite me behaving so PMS) and he brightened up my blue friday by coming to my office to fetch me from work and surprised me with my favourite KOI and My Melody's bookmark! Hehe. He's simply the best. We went to Brewerkz for our favourite wings and beer. It was a great dinner! After that, we went to The Cathay to watch The Viral Factor, a movie by Jay Chou! Hehe. It was quite a good movie though the ending could be a bit better though I must admit I had expected the ending from the start of the show. Good acting by Jay and Nicholas! =pAs for Saturday, it was a fruitful Saturday. Alan, sis and I went to City Plaza to eat our favourite Mee Hoon Kuay, but you know what? It was closed! We were so disappointed. Many of the coffeeshops were still closed, so in the end, we ended up eating the famous Western food at Hougang Plaza. It was quite a satisfying lunch before we went to the new NTUC to shop for our steamboat. And I finally managed to find my favourite Brown Brothers' Moscato! Hehe. After shopping, I went to PS to meet Jianhui. We had no idea where to go. In the end, we decided to look at some renovation before going Changi Airport. We managed to look at aeroplanes and had dinner at Popeyes. I also found a nice fragrance mist from Victoria's Secret! And then, we went to a pub, Boulevard to watch soccer match, Liverpool - Man Utd. It had been a long time since we last watched a soccer match together at a pub. :) However, it was a disappointing match as Man Utd lost the match. :( It's a busy and happy Saturday. Lastly, Happy Birthday to everybody! It's 'ren ri" today!

Welcome to the Year of Dragon
Chinese New Year has always been my favourite festival. The time for family bonding and feasting. =p And for that, I really admire my mummy who is the main (or rather only) chef for our Reunion Lunch on Chinese New Year eve and Vegetarian Reunion Lunch on the first day of Chinese New Year. I can't help much, except that for this year, I had at least helped to cut some of the Vegetarian stuff. Haha.As usual, we had our vegetarian reunion lunch with my father's side relatives. I enjoy eating vegetarian lunch every year for Chinese New Year. Jianhui had joined us for reunion lunch this year too. After a satisfying lunch, we went to popo's house to bai nian. Ah Yi was still around and so we chatted a while before she went out. Popo is happy that we're getting married and she told us that she would definitely attend our wedding. I'm so happy to receive blessing from my beloved popo.
Thereafter, Alan and sis came to fetch us to give us a ride to Teck Whye Lane to go to JH's house to bai nai to his parents. His mother cooked a lot of food for us to eat. I'm so full after eating so much for the whole day.
Mr Fitness and Ms CheongsamAfter dinner, we went to town and it's so empty. I kinda miss this kind of Singapore. Haha. We drank our favourite bubble tea from Artease then we went to H&M to take a look. There isn't much to shop, so we decided to go back home. For the second day of CNY, my parents and I went to popo's house in the morning to help out. As per every year, mum stayed to help out with the cooking. I seriously think that CNY is a busy period for mum as she has to cook every meal almost everyday. As for me, I went back home to have some rest and to accompany ah nei at home. In the evening, Alan they all came to fetch us to popo's house for dinner. We met Justin and Melach and we had a good chat about wedding stuff. =p He brought his wedding video too, so we watched it at popo's house. Then, it's dinner time! There's a lot of my favourite food like glutinous rice, hakka shuang pan zi and cheese cake! :) I had a great dinner at my popo's house. Thanks to my favourite Auntie for hosting us and prepared so much food for us!Happy Chinese New Year to all!

Happy Chinese New Year
It's time for reunion lunch again! As my brother and sister in law has gone to Genting on Saturday, we had our "reunion dinner" on Friday. As all of us were staying under one roof, we could start our reunion lunch on time. My mum is amazing to prepare all the food herself. (For that, I feel kinda guilty that I did not contribute anything.)Every year, my mum would hide one golden coin inside one of the dumplings that she had made. We all hope to get the golden coin as it symbolizes Good Luck. And you know what? I got the golden coin this year! I'm so happy! I got a feeling that Dragon year is going to be a good year for me! Hehe.
My golden coin!May all of you have a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year! Feast all you want, but remember not to over-eat!
